At time stamp 4:00 I could identify with everything said about worship and worship leaders. I have shared these exact same observations with my wife many times. One thing that irritates me is that we have a great worship leader doing a fantastic job of leading us, but the pastor invariably has to take over the mic and exhort the congregation to worship the Lord. I thought that’s what the worship leader was doing before the pastor interrupted. I also think that the end of the service should be short and sweet with a clear benediction. But after the sermon ends, there is a final prayer, and then another song chorus that can go on and on. And yes it annoys me to have to stand up for up to 10 minutes not sure if we’re getting another’s mini exhortation or what. Sometimes I feel the leadership is trying too hard to leave the congregation with something special. Less is more.
