Thank you for all your comments! I’d like to clarify a few points. Every property we advertise is owned by a unique landowner, not Whitetail Properties Real Estate. We don’t buy and resell properties; we advertise them for sale on behalf of the owners. The decision to sell is up to the landowner, and they set the asking price, not the agent. Additionally, I ran trail cameras this summer and was impressed by the bucks on the farm. While some deer were lost to EHD last year, there are still plenty of mature bucks to hunt this fall.
Yea Bill actually sold this property like 2 years ago, so the real estate company probably bought it and jacked the price up even more. Kinda hope they get stuck with it Cuz whitetail properties, land guy's, the whitetail group, have all jacked the prices up on real estate over here in Illinois. Most locals hate all those douche bags.
I say this as a farm owner myself, the hunting & hunting land industry is now only for the ultra rich. I don’t mean a successful hard working person worth a few million, I mean the mega rich. Hunting is no longer for anyone except that special group, they control every other aspect of everything I guess it was a matter of time until they took Hunting for themselves as well. The unfortunate thing is as bad as it is now, it’s only going to get worse. I think the real hunting community needs to work together & boycott all of these brands & companies, let them depend solely on their mega rich customers to keep them afloat.
It wont happen. The same is true with everything these days. Full size trucks are 100k, midsize are 60k, SXS's are 40k and I could keep going. Life is a pay to play sport and decisions have to be made. You are talking about 900+ acres in the best section of Iowa that is the best state, IMO, to hunt whitetails. Years of documented success and genetics that some only dream of.
I am so tired of these greedy companies that jack up the prices for land so it makes it close to impossible for common people to afford hunting anymore. It is clearly turning out to be something for the rich only. An average person will never be able to buy hunting ground soon with how these companies operate. I hope they will never be able to sell this farm or at least hit a huge loss on it.
The thing is they jack up the price just because of hunting and don’t represent the actual land market value. That’s why I dislike companies like this.
Hopefully it will be sold all together and not eventually divided up into parcels, then a realtor come in, clear the trees and throw up tiny homes all over it. That’s what happened with a good near 300 acre hunting farm that adjoins my Family Farm, it was split into 2 sections, the section adjoining my family farm is a good guy that hunts (Thank The Lord,) but the other parcel of that farm is a developer and he’s in the process of clearing trees and building houses. It should be illegal (prison time) taking good Farm Ground or Hunting Ground and flipping it for Development!! Hope that doesn’t happen to this Farm. This is a Farm that should be kept together and passed down to Ones Children!
Unfortunately Big bucks has turned into Big Bucks for those who can buy land now. That's all they are selling is Antler size or the potential for big bucks.

Hunting has turned into nothing but money.. the internet ruined hunting
Thats capitalism.
I agree. If this were a Row Crop or Cattle Ranch, it wouldn’t be this much, unless it was owned by a Celebrity.
yes
Investing is more like it.
The Internet has ruined basically everything.
Nice work on that farm Bill. What a gem!

You are correct
@@glennedwards1228 I cant stand these clowns, they are doing the same in NEPA as well.
How many hunts you gotta sell to pay those taxes 😅
He sold this property over 4 years ago. He didn't sale to a company he sold it to one guy. He probably sold to a company.
Easy to believe
Probably one of the whitetail real estate owners bought it to resell. Hope the guy selling it gets stuck with it!

there is plenty of state land in michigan.
After you pay the state money for the privilege.

Yes Because they are experts in the land business They are nothing more than land flippers.

It doesn't get better than this.
Depends how bad it was gutted.

Exactly, lot of good farms are for hunting purposes only now.
Just remember, Hunting is a God Given Right. Do not let imaginary boundaries stop you.

A future fall hunting property for some billionaire that visits it once a year.
Anyone know why Winke is selling his farm?
Bill sold this farm several years ago, he isn’t the seller.
No Mention of the devastating effects of EHD in 2017. Wiped out 50% of the deer. Good Luck.
How much? And why did Bill sell his farm he worked so hard for all those years?
To move back to northern iowa.
He sold it for like 4.8 million
He sold it to move closer to his parents price is in the millions I bet
I think Ill just enjoy the 275,000 acres of state land around me 😂
Lol maybe Bill should buy it back his new farms suck bad
Some Major League Baseball player will buy it. No worries.
Nice place,
I think bill regrets this 😢
Gotta say that I hate whitetail properties and what they have done for deer hunting
Just a bunch of haters on here. The prices of everything has gone up and people think land won’t do the same.
The difference is, the price of land is artificially inflated.
Quit crying and start a business.... Then you can buy a farm.
$6.9 M
