Like, the text RIGHT UNDERNEATH the video? Where it says "This is the only way to level up the artisans"? How stupid are you?
Not without knowing a lot more detail. Check your DNA tracker. Did you do every single mission up to there? Check the logbook. Are there any outstanding? Did you finish the game? Or are you on sequence 10 or something?
For the artisan, yeah. But they're not all artisans. check the description and it shows which missions do which levels for the artisans.and unlock which items for the builders.
It's right up there. In the description. You don't even have to watch the video. You could just read. And I've already answered you in 3 ways. What more do you want exactly?
If they show up, do them. They're not all showing up. Only the ones which are currently available show up. It won't let you do some before completing others.
the first ellen mission is in new york, as for the others you can do them in no particular order when you start them. To level your char you gotta do everyones homestead missions if you wanna know how many each person has look at this guide from gamefaqs.com
@Ahmed Sabri try capturing all view points and liberating Boston New York and the frontier I had the same problem but beat the game before staring the homestead missions and after doing this I unlocked my first homestead mission even though everywhere I looked people said you can't start homestead missions after beating the game

If so Im done with this game just as Im about to go to NY, done ALL sidemissions including a ton of homestead, but still only see 3 asrtisans in crafting and they're all level 1. It's preety simple, in between the game's sequences check your homestead from time-to-time and see if there's any missions to "level-up" or "recruit people" for your homestead. These missions will also be in some of the cities or in the frontier (Like the farmers etc) I'm almost at the end of the game (sequence 10 to be exact) and I haven't had to look up anything on Gamefaqs or TH-cam, till now... in regards to how to level your artisans.
so do u have to scan them to get them to level up or will they level up on there own as u complete the missions cuz i really want those holsters but i got big dave and still havent got ellen but i havent been to new york. Hmm. Check the DNA tracker in the pause menu. It should show how many you've done. Also check the logbook on the map menu - you might have to visit new york and buy stuff for big dave.
Hey i need some help please. whenever i try to counter with my tomahawk it does the slow motion part but then dosn't let me attack or disarm. i hit the right buttons but it dosnt do anything. It works perfectly fine with my hidden blades and fists but thats all. any suggestions?
Homestead missions have stopped popping up for me. I know which ones I haven't done in this video so do you have any idea why? By the way, I'm not finished with the campaign and I like to do side missions first, do I have to finish the campaign before I can play all of theme.

For Thousand Pound Idea onwards, do you need to be in sequence 11 or 12 for them to show up? Those are the only ones I haven't completed and Ellen won't do any activities at all for the common man task at lvl 3.
the more you progress threw the homestead missions the more homestead missions are unlocked to be completed it doesnt matter weither or not you have done the campaign before hand instead of homestead missions
I'm on sequence 11 and I did the Lance mission (foldable chair) and I gave him the plans, but I can't find another mission. Is there something else to do in the mission or do I have to go deeper into the story.
i cant get naval convoys and i think i missed the homestead mission for the wood worker, what can i do? im at 10 or 11 already. its going to make me stop playing the game and lose interest

As far as I'm aware, absolutely nothing. But, I have 2 saves where the farmers glitched (3/3 but no entry) so I can't tell you for sure. Just wondering if I'm going to wait for the patch or not.
While you're playing after or during every sequence check back your homestead or check the frontier map and c if there is any homestead missions to recruit or level your people

Check your log (in the map screen) to see if you have any active. If not, check your DNA Tracker in the animus menu to see which ones you've done, then cross reference with the description to work out what's next. Then do it.
If you beat the game, go see part 1 (it's linked in the description). Start there. Then come back here. The missions have dependencies - you can't unlock Big Dave until you've done Raw Materials, for example.

you get flint from crafting. go to the crafting thing, materials and find flints. then see what you need, then go to stock pile, and buy what you need.

There's no point going to the location if the mission icon isn't there. You need to do the missions in order. Go check part 1 first, then check part 2.

just finished all the homestead missions pretty much all at once, except the last three I think, I had to do the bs naval mission in the tenth sequence (I really fucking hated the naval missions in ac3 but they did get better in ac4) then I did the last three, and during legacy I replaied part of it just to hear it again. damn you ubisoft you're breaking my fucking heart.
Yep. Each sequence unlocks new homestead missions. Although at sequence 9 I think maybe ellen is the only one you can level up. Do as many as you can, then continue the story.
It could be waiting on the deserter, which is in the Frontier, in John's Town, and won't appear until you reveal the map up that way, I think. Possibly also the preacher, but he should appear in the homestead.
So.. To upgrade their level, we need to complete homestead mission as much as possible!!, am I correct?

Because they're interdependent. Go check part 1 (it's linked in the description) to make sure you've done all the previous missions.

i have my naval trading at 5% risk and the money is great. Nice way to send convoys and actually not have to worry about them.

What do you mean? Once you take a mission, it should be active. You'll be 'in it'. Unless it's a collect quest.

Land Convoy Upgrade, under special items. Need Lance level 1, and Lumbers level 2 (I think). Check part 1 of the guide. I think I cover it there.

some missions you need to go farther in the story. just finish up story mode and they should be popping up.
