You can reduce the number of components to 2 conveyers, 8 adapters, 2 boxes, 6 fish traps by chaining them as follows: Box+adapter (food input) - > input conveyor (same settings) - > 1st fish trap+adapter - > 2nd fish trap+adapter - >.... 6th fish trap+adapter - > output conveyor (same settings) - > box+adapter (fish box)

Can also place the traps "indoors" by building foundations under water.
