      Think about a guys it should be mentally impossible to interpret someone else's thoughts or intentions just to unveil those two said person in real time it is impossible right? Why do we look at magicians like they're just really good at what they do they're not necessarily practicing these things guys it's it's a lot more complicated the greatest musicians that ever lived doing performances that are impossible physically and both mentally are not 100% human this should be obvious by now considering that how the f*** does that person know what your card is. Notice how he says make sure you say it over in your head over and over and over he's telepathic probably has reptilian DNA and is able to interpret thoughts.

    Being a card magician myself, I knew how a few of these worked, even Crazy Man’s Handcuffs, even though that’s with rubber bands. Does it mean I didn’t enjoy watching him? Of course not. Magic is only about 5-10% the secret. The rest is in the story and performance. For me, it’s enjoyable to see someone else’s routine on an effect (e.g. The Linking Rings or an Ambitious Card routine) and seeing new ways to do what is in essence the same performance. There are even some routines I’ve seen that, even knowing exactly what is going on, still fool me a little because the moves and slights are so smooth. I personally think knowing the secret can help someone appreciate the art of the performance more.

    • @SamuelMoerbe

    I love spotting sleight of hand tricks. I saw how he did several of these, but the really impressive part to me is to be able to perform these 100% accurately almost 100% of the time. There's no room for error in these or else you give away the trick, and that's why I love these guys.

    • @JonWayes
      @JonWayes 5 ปีที่แล้ว +45

      Raccido
      Conversely, having an alternate ending should you mess up/be caught. Even better, having a back up to your alternate ending.
      I’ve done this numerous times. However, when someone feels “big”/“cool” for catching you out, play into their ego before performing your alternate ending and regaining control of the situation.
      Fun stuff 🙂

    • @mydavegabicycle
      @mydavegabicycle 5 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      As Jon Wayes said, magicians sometimes screw up. The idea is to plan for contingencies. The spectator has no idea how the movie ends, so to speak, and those who are quick on their feet can quickly write a new one, or have an alternate ready. This is called an "out". The reality of performing for real people live is they're unpredictable.
      With that said, sometimes even better magic happens and gets invented because of quick thinking and if it was improvised, it's new to the performer too. Everyone wins in those moments.
      The trick there is the spectator has no idea that they just saw something brand new or not originally intended.

      @@teeroux imho card tricks that rely heavily on logic and mathematics can be interesting and thought-provoking, but dirtier performance-based tricks can result in more magical outcomes. Being a magician is about taking advantage of our limited human perception and attention to distort and elevate reality. The exact methods used aren't as important as the impact those methods have.

    If you believe in magic, don't bother to choose
    If it's an indie film or the youtube blues
    Just go and see
    It'll start with a smile
    that goes a way for a while
    But comes back again when you fit export movie!
    Your fingers start tapping
    And you can't seem to find
    How you got there
    So just blow your mind
    If you believe in magic
    Come along with me
    We'll edit until morning, just you and me
    and maybe, if the effects aren't right
    I'll meet ya tomorrow
    so late at night
    We'll do some edits' baby then you'll see
    all the magic's in the moment of the new movie, yeah
    Do you belive in editing magic? Yeah.
    Believe in the edits in a young mans soul
    believe in the edits that make the video roll
    Ohhhh, talkin' bout edits
    Do you believe like I believe?

    Knowing how the tricks are done makes many of them even more impressive. I know what card moves he must have made for those tricks, but the fact that even watching for them I can't see him do them is a testament to his incredible skill.

    That rubberband trick with wren was incredible talent with slide of hand. It's so precise and quick, I love it.

    I'm looking for the switch at 5:10, this is insane

    • @thedopepope

      The only explanation I can think of is he has the 2 cards in his hand at 5:10 (the 5 and Sams card) and drops the 5 when he taps it onto the top of the deck briefly before he hands Sam his original card back.

      It's not a switch, it's a different technique, but I'm not going to spoil it to you unless you really want me to.

    This guy has some sick ass finger speed, i cannot for the life of me see where he changes fingers for the rubber band trick

    • @MauranKilom
      @MauranKilom 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I found it pretty easy to spot/figure out when replaying the video in both cases, but it's certainly way too fast to notice on the first try (mainly because you can easily narrow it down both backward and forward when replaying).

      ***** i genuinely can't see the moment the rubber band switches fingers, i know exactly when it is but i cannot for the life of me see the bands moving.

      The funny thing is, we know how he do it, but yet we can't see it. That's when you know the guy is good

      I watched it in slow motion.... it's hilarious to watch and still not see what's going on entirely.
      You can clearly see when the band changes sides (earlier than when the 'magic' is supposed to happen), but how the heck does it hop back onto his finger?

    I use to practice magic tricks and showed them to my friends and teachers at school. Some of the tricks he did are the ones I use to do. I stopped practicing eventually but I do still love to watch magicians perform even if I know how many are done.

    7:05 watch closely. you can see when it happens. The last time he pulls back, he lets the band go of one finger, then catches it again. Very fast.
