Vancouver, and it’s pouring rain 🤷‍♀️
You have no idea how odd it feels to see a street scene without addicts. 🤔
Put the kettle on, I’m on my way ✈️

I was there from Vancouver Island for my son and family's wedding in late April. The weather was much better than I anticipated but..... We are spoiled on the West Coast. When I had left Qualicum Beach I had cut my grass about four times, pretty much everything was in bloom, really we were into early summer. In late April in Halifax, and in reality the rest of Canada it was still early spring, lakes were still frozen in Manitoba. We took the train from Halifax to Montreal and I saw patches of snow on the ground everywhere. The trees were just budding, with occasional trees with leaves. Where is this all going? We lucked out with the weather in Halifax. I visited one site to check out what the weather would be like in April in NS and in big letters it said: "don't visit in April." LOL I guess the weather changing on a dime is the norm in April there. About three weeks later after we returned, the weather turned in Halifax and it had cold and rainy extended weather. Don't get me wrong, I loved visiting Halifax, I had just forgotten how "behind" the rest of Canada is in terms of things blooming compared to coastal BC. As for the druggies, I did see some in Halifax but definitely not as dominant as in Vancouver, which has deteriorated badly. Victoria has druggies but not as numerous as in Vancouver. "Up Island" there is just a smattering in the towns. We stayed at the Lord Nelson, where the wedding was held so we were lucky to be central to downtown and the boardwalk.
