Claus, thank you for the inspiring videos. Instead of focusing on just 1 specific technique for weeks or even months, I find quicker progress if you focus on 2 or 3 techniques at a time. For me, if I practice increasing my speed with alternate picking for example, I'll practice only that for a couple hours or days, then move on to something else for a couple hours or days. Then when I go back to alternate picking, I notice progress. Something happens when you focus immensely on something, take a break from it, then go back to it. Sometimes I think I make faster progress doing it that way than if I practice something continuously for several days or weeks. This way you can get really good at 2 or 3 things in a faster period than you get really good at 1 thing. I think you can apply the same principle to working out. Your muscles grow and get stronger during the periods of rest. That's why you don't work the same muscle group every day. The brain works the same way in my opinion. I'm curious what you think about that. Keep up the awesome videos. I have made more progress from your videos than from anything else!
Can I ask you a question? Are you British, Australian or else? I ask you this because I'm portuguese and I understand perfectly every word you say . Thanks for that and for your lessons.
you obviously spend time in the gym however I gotta call you out on the exercise comment. Push ups strengthen a lot or muscles than bench press. Your guitar classes on the other hand are top-notch 🤘
There's nobody on youtube like brother Claus
@lunernova69 What about Santa?
Claus Gilbert what a awsome player / teacher , lucky to have Santa bringing guitar gifts every day

I would like to say Thank You. Opened these '50 years at the guitar' eyes and mind.
Had the exact same experience relating the gym to the guitar. Pursuing one thing helps you pursue all kinds of other things. Life is funny like that.
Great lesson !! thanks .
Thank you for your motivation sir.
I’ve been working on triplets for, oh, a year. Definitely getting better but I’m not quite at 140 bpm yet. Getting there. It’s in sight finally
You'll do it.
As I've said already, Claus is my friend.
I really like it mucho!
Thank you.

Push ups are not better than bench
