I am always entertained by your reactions. If you look at the credits for the MV, the creative director was Justin De Dios. Their stoic look was deliberate, it was what Justin wanted. Also, the videographer of their dance practice was Jay Roncesvalles, their choreographer; which explains why he knew where the camera should be in order to get the best angle of the dance. There is a VLOG on the making of the MV which gives details on how the MV came to be and also how long it took them to choreograph and plan for the MV shoot.

The concept is them performing a la synchronized swimming, and that’s why they are in a pool and they have deadpan expressions (synchronized swimmers have to hold their breaths and stuff underwater). Their choreographer Jay Roncesvalles (same guy who choreographed some of their dances like Gento) shot the dance rehearsal through a cam phone. There’s a BTS of this.
