Bro i thought also like u that the clock spring has short circuit but i found that the short circuit is part of the mechanism with the two pins that leads to the airbag it comes from the source socket it has bridge

Bro, I had a short circuit on the clock spring soldering in this vodeo. It must be no short circuit in the airbag connector. It gives an error.

i don't understand what you did.. how it fixed the short by grinding part of the ribbon. you did not explain anything.

I was found a short circuit before starting the video recording so as not to waste your time. then just cut it.

You just wasted my time because I did not know what you did and had to wait for answer. :-) ALL information is important. Did you solder over the grinding tabs to reconnect the wires to the broken pieces. You didn't show that either. Why would you not think that all of that was important when you did not even speak what you did without showing it? We are not psychic women who claim to reads men's minds. :-)

Let's figure it out. Do you have a short circuit problem? It is necessary to do by find out counting mistakes of air bag. Did you open the spring cover?

He made sure there's no solder or conductive material between the 2 cables ( both completing the circuit to the single wire at the yellow plug..which is not good, a bit of a butcher, re-soldering these 2 would be cleaner , as moisture might get in the cut ribbon and eventually corrode the airbag connection ),

Hi. I have a civic. Old clock spring shows the airbag light on so i got a new one. Now the new one fits perfect and airbag is solved but horn and paddle shits arent working. When i go back to old one both works just airbag light comes on. All wires are same what could be the issue? Please help.

I can offer three options to solve your problem.
      1. Look for differences. Something differently wires.
      2. Also you can try to fix the old spring. The cable often have unused wires. Find it and use for air bags contacts. But most often damaged cable continues to break down later. Especially in winter.
      3. You can get a new cable from the cover and insert into the old cover. Sometimes it helps to improve contact in connectors.

Сергей Thanks. I opened both the clock springs. Everything is same. Only the old clock spring has 2 wires green and black in plugs whereas new one has 4 wires green black white yellow. I saw that old clock spring is fine just the airbag cable has snapped. I will try removing the white and yellow wire and try again with the new clock spring. You have any idea what white and yellow wires would be for, they all 4 are connected to 2 pin airbag ribbon and not others.

Maybe you have a photo? It is difficult to understand on what exactly you're talking about colored wires.

Сергей I got it working. I opened the clock spring and saw the connecting wires in the steering wheel. The wire plug on the front of the steering is straight and plug from behind the steering on the clock spring is upside down. So i carefully saw the connections and set the cables in the clock spring accordingly. Earlier the horn and paddle shift wires in the clock spring were upside down due to which the signal wasnt passing through. Set it properly and got it done. I almost opened and fiddled 5 to 6 times with steering clock spring gosh but got it working.

Сергей I bought this clock spring from china for 14$. Somehow they are exactly built but inside wires were assembled wrong.
