In this video, I discuss why I believe Baby Newton was going to have legends and lore puppets. This video took me a while to make so I hope you enjoyed!
According to 1 of the emails from Julie, she said that around that time, Legends and Lore stopped making puppets so she had Mark Burr call Dave to make the new puppets as well as upgrading the old characters. Dave's puppets were never made for the public, only the videos unless you count the Little Genius puppets from DMPCreative.
It would be interesting if Baby Newton and Baby Beethoven would’ve been released before late 2001 without having to make changes. 🤔 I think it would be pretty cool (if it happened like that). wouldn’t you say?
My idea is to release this: *Baby Beethoven* Released on July 24, 1999 *Baby Vivaldi* Released on August 18, 2001 *Baby Newton - Shapes in Motion* Released September 26, 2001 *Baby Newton - Numbers Nursery* Released October 2, 2001

Could you possibly do a video about Baby Galileo, Da Vinci, Wordsworth etc being made prior to Disney's acquisition? Or the same with Little Einsteins?
Great theories but I think another evidence is the see and spy shapes book that the characters that appear in the book may have been the og puppets for newton. I also didn’t understand the red scarf theory, could you please explain it?

I really liked it, but I have a few things to say about it… just because Julie didn’t reuse characters often, doesn’t mean she couldn’t, so the original Newton very well could’ve had the L&L dog, cow and horse. Also, the theory about Disney not having the rights to L&L puppets is interesting, and explains why we don’t see Bard at the end of the 2002 promo (and even why he might’ve been replaced with the gecko on the DVD cover) but earlier in the promo, the footage of the mother playing with a bard puppet is still intact. Plus, if Disney didn’t have the rights to the L&L puppets, they wouldn’t be allowed to rerelease Baby Shakespeare, Van Gogh, Santa, the Dolittles, and Mozart without making major changes, nor would they be allowed to have Vincent, Rudy, Pavlov or Jane on the covers of their respective videos.

Though the only reason Vivaldi appears without his scarf in the NA book is because all the cartoon animals were made to look more realistic. Bach, Misty mouse, and Bluebird were all turned brown to look more like real animals. And this was also the first time Pavlov was seen in his brown design that was used 2002 and onwards.
Yes I do. When I was a kid I liked collecting the Battery operated animals, the Dytoy slides, and the L&L puppets. Though I can't review them right now since they are in storage. I'm worried that they might not work since its been such a long time since I used them. I tried putting batteries in my old Pudgey piglets and Mr. Bacons since I found them and none of them worked. They aren't corroded or anything, they just won't move. However I put batteries in my Bacon Jrs ( Smaller version of Mr. Bacon that uses different battery type ) and they worked perfectly fine. So I think the problem is that the metal pieces that get the power from the batteries somehow corroded from oxygen exposure or something and are preventing the pigs from working. But anyway, toys I have from the videos include: Baby and Bongo elephant, all three Rikki Rooster variants, quack quack ducky, Baby Brontosaurus, Roly Poly Cow, Zoe Zebra, Wind up chicks, Peter Puppy, Scooter the German Sheppard, G.G. Giraffe, Clara cat ( A different version of pretty kitty from Shakespeare ), Joyful Puppy ( Though its a bootleg not made by Jamina or Charm ), Two Dotty Ladybugs ( Though I'm not sure where either of them are ), Mumbo Hippo, Waddle Quaddle Penguin, Two Playful Circus Seal sets, The great Dalmatian chase, Jumping Dolphins, Space Station Chase, Playful Penguins, Tin hopping parrot, Rabbit in a hat, and the Liquid motion Tumbler from LN. The reason I have so many rare toys is because I got most of them when they were still available from Charm, Kites Tails Toys, and other sites. I also have an old 2008 Charm Company catalog with never before seen images of some of the Battery Operated animals. I also have a big L&L puppet collection though I'm not going to spoil any of it since I plan to make a collection video. I also have tons of other toys that didn't appear in the videos that were made by Iwaya, Jamina, and Dytoy. One of my favorites has to be the Pony Pal. Its just like Zoe Zebra except its a pony and the tail functions differently. Though I think its broken unfortunately. That's all I have that I can think of right now.

I don't think anyone has been able to find this version yet but a very similar version to this one was released for the ABC set that came with the Letter M attached to it, two arms with hands, a tail, and a black nose that is sewn on instead of the fabric being folded to create one. The only difference between this one and the more common one appears to be the color and different ear pieces. This one was probably discontinued around the time Baby Shakespeare was being developed as the Murray Monkey in that video looks slightly different than the more traditional one seen in World Animals which might mean they were still tweaking the design.
