Time Slider - digital clock

- A digital clock that uses sliding frames to conceal certain segments of the digits.
Every minute, the frames move in a synchronized manner to display the current time.
The clock is powered by a microprocessor that controls eight small stepper motors. A battery-backed real-time clock (RTC) module keeps track of the time.
(And no, it's not nearly as loud in reality. I failed to adjust the sound level when I tried to use noise reduction to eliminate the background noise from the recording.)

That's a really nice time/art piece! Well done 👍🏻Some humble ideas for version 2: Personally I would like it to be silent, and it would be great if all digits finish at the same time when multiple are changing. 💪🏻🇸🇪
Perfect clock. Engineering art at it's finest. Wonderful sound and movement.
Oh my gosh is channel come back!!
This appeals to both tech freaks & others! Having no idea about its mechanism at work, but Fun! Sheer fun!
This skill I'd love to learn.
Your ideas are unique.
I would be happy about a Lego watch next.
Love it! A work of art.
Awesome design - I'm going to make this, and then I'm going to try and build a solar powered version which would go outside. Just a few modifications needed - remove the plastic digits, create a "shield" to stop light shining through the grids on the "outside" , add some solar cells and a small battery, sit it in the sun , and let the sun project the time onto the ground, wall, or whatever. Not sure how long it will last in the rain etc, though.
if this is serious the please please make a video update about it--this sounds amazing
I'm serious, but there are other projects ahead of it in the pipeline :-)@@joshward7009
Wow that looks really cool.
Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
Awesome idea! Added to the long list of projects 😆
Really impressive builds, all of them! :-D
Beautiful design and asthetic! I'm curious...does the digit arrive at the time or does it start moving at the minute ?
This is so cool!
This is the coolest thing ever!
Nice design 👍
great work
Splendid!
great craft :D
Amazing !
Thanks making a guide!
You can make a video on how to make a Time Slider - digital clock...thnks
love this!
would it be possible to use silent stepper motors like what is used in 3D printers, which now-a-days are very silent?
wonderful!!
Wonderful
Wow 👌 amazing ❤ it
Impossibly cool!
👍 Excellent
this is sick! is it as loud as it seems in the video? i wonder if it's possible to dampen the motor sound enough to use it 24/7 in a home?
Ideas like this are mostly just about the idea.
@@lionpeter6368 that's why i was wondering if it was "possible" to dampen the sound enough
loud and takes too long to update. otherwise its lovely and great work!
that wont get annoying quickly
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I counted 9 seconds to change numbers, so up to 15% of the time I can't read the time from this clock, lol.
Get an analogue or digital clock instead 🙃
Do you sell it?
