So many classic ships gone now. I've been on many of them. 8 to be exact. Back in the day, these were the ships to sail on.

It was sad to see these ships get scrapped, some are even sadder than others. The fantasy class ships I’m sure would have been sold off to other companies. I feel a few of them had about 10 more years in them.
Ships like the Holiday, Tropicale, and Celebration, were pretty much going to be scrapped with in 5 years of 2020.
It’s a shame that cruise lines as well have moved to bigger ships, carnival, Royal Caribbean, NCL should really consider building some smaller ships to cater to the older and accessible cruising populations. I’m in my mid 20s and physically fit. I remember back in either 2012 on the Valor or 2014 on the Glory, an older couple said “this ship is so big! It takes forever to get to the buffet! You just walk for miles and miles” it had me thinking “imagine if this was the Oasis of the Seas”. The 50,000-70,000 ton ships keep disappearing.

The carnival ships were scrapped because Carnival got a order saying they had to make all ships wheelchair assessable for scrap the ones who aren't. They got some contractors in to see if the ships could become wheelchair assessable and unfortunately it couldn't.

Hi Captain Leo I found your video here and I have insider info on why the carnival ships in this video were scraped. You see carnival got this thing where they had to make their first ships that are still sailing wheel chair asscesable completely by the end of 2022. So Carnival got some contractors to see the ships of there was anyway to make it wheelchair assessable completely and unfortunately they couldn't so they had to scrap those ships. That's why Estacy is also retiring.

Hi Elizabeth, thank you for commenting, yeah the wheel chair problem may be a reason why these ships went out fast

Traditional cruising..gone. particularly sad at magellan and columns.
All those peoples memories of having a good time...seems a more manageable sized ship for people with mobility difficulties and more elderly cruisers is now only for affluent people.
