I'm planning on maybe going next year or the year after that. At the latest the year I graduate. It basically in my backyard as well so getting there won't be hard at all (2-3 hour drive). Also at 2:23 in the background on his phone dats @Majira Strawberry if I'm not mistaken
I think the thing that appeals to me most about furry fandom is the abandonement of adulthood. I mean that in the way that you're allowed to goof around like kids. Wanna hide under a table? Sure! Greet every new friend with a hug? Ok! It's like a complete escape from the outside world. (but I do want to clarify I don't mean "the abandonement of adulthood" as in "eliminating a required age of consent". That definitely stays)

Can you go for one day instead of the whole weekend to the Westin Harbour Castle today and not miss out on furry merchandise? Can you go for a day pass and not miss out on buying anything there? If you don't book your hotel room, can you still go shop around for furry stuff like soft foam, badges, drawings, and more bling?
This is the only Furcon in Canada that I know of, and it's still too far for me. I live in Nova Scotia, and for me to go to Ontario would cost way too much for me or my family, even just driving. So my dreams of going to FE will have to wait for who knows how long
There are several Canadian furcons (FE being the largest) in both the east and west coast. I don't think there's any in NS, however there are local furmeets you might be able to attend. Check out OMGWTFBBQ -- this is a local bbq furmeet.
