Story:
James is called by a vicar, who believes his student son has turned to black magic. James tells father and son the story of two Cambridge students in the time of Edward VI, who are accused if witchcraft and take desperate measures to protect themselves.

E.M.Forster wrote a short story in 1903 (I believe) called "The Machine Stops" which was so far ahead of its time that it makes "1984" look tame. Did the BBC ever put on a performance of this? I would love to hear it, if they did. Best Sci-Fi short story ever.
