I went to a private music college that shut down in 2017 and all of my federal aid was forgiven and reimbursed to me, but I'm still paying my private loans
You received a Closed School Loan Discharge, which only covers federal loans. Wrt your private loans there is a Disability Discharge, which has stringent requirements to qualify, but that is a route. Also Biden's Department of Education has made some changes that should make discharge of student loans (including private ones) through bankruptcy more feasible. However, there is no guarantee for this either. Have you spoken to the Department of Education about options? Have you contacted the private loan division of CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau)? Also sign all the petitions that Student Debt Crisis Center creates to help folks get loan forgiveness.
