Dolch,
Jemand hat mir einige gute Informationen zu diesem Modell gegeben.
Ich werde es bald wieder auf meinem Hauptschreibtisch auseinanderbauen.

Smashing little Trix Croc looking forward to seeing it running on your layout 🚂👍.
Thanks Julian.👍🏻
Great lookikig loco Jim!!! I like Trix very much! Cheers Onno.
Thanks , I've always wanted this model, hopefully I can get it working again. 👍🏻
Thanks Onno.
Fascinating video Jim, thanks for sharing the information on the Trix Croc, Deryck
I love stuff like this. Taking a chance and it pays off. It’s a lovely model but at what you paid for it. I’d definitely be taking some thinners or ipa and a fair few cotton buds and toning it down a little.
At a guess I’d say one of the plastic gear ends has split. I’ve had to super glue a couple over the years.
Bugger missed out on that one would have bought it for our swiss layout
Best guess: powering through a transmission that is locked up with hardened grease. It either climbed out of the clips or ate the gear (Trix uses a mixture of brass and plastic)
@@ivovanzon164 good call thanks for watching 👍🏻jim
Wow, Jim... a classic and popular model. As you said, it does not look like it has been run, so I wonder how it went bad. Definitely looked like the motor was working fine and the wheels were going with some slippage. Hopefully, you have guess the right gear..
Yeah it's very odd, I think it's sliping split plastic gears which are trying to engage the brass worm gearing at both ends.
I will order some parts and completely disassemble at some point...
Thanks again.👍🏻
Noooooooo! Can't stop now Jim...it'll eat you up, got to get to the bottom of it...
Just need to select the correct parts if they are still available.
I had a Lima Loco act like this turns out it was missing all 3 drive gears and the retaining clip, the vibration from the motor alone made the loco move. Weight was gone too.
