I've met at least two Christians who began reading the Bible to prove Christianity to be untrue. Both ended up finding a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ and are strong Christians today!

I was born a Hindu, converted to Christianity & went to service 4 times/wk. I had to leave the church environment for a while so I started reading the Bible myself (rather than a preacher doing the reading for me). I read some good things, some ordinary things and tons of bad things that is in the Bible. It became clear to me that this book is not Devine work. I denounced that fake Christian’s god 54 years ago - no regrets whatsoever.

This is probably a strange thing to say but I am fairly into conservative politics and had become very interested in Vivek Ramaswamy (probably would have voted for him if he hadn't already dropped out). He is a 1st gen American from India and a Hindu. Its been really interesting to hear his experiences with Christianity and to hear him defend why Christians should vote for him. Anyway, last night I had a dream (and I don't dream often at all). Don't remember all of the specifics but he was under attack in my dream. All day I have had the urge to pray for him. That Jesus would rescue him from attack and that he would see the love of Jesus and realise that Jesus is the one who created him. Not sure if seeing this video about a "Hindu's" conversion to Christianity in my feed on same day is coincidence or not, but I appreciate this interview and urge people to pray for those who don't know Jesus.

historians consider the Goa Inquisition the most merciless and cruel ever developed. It was a machinery of death. A large number of Hindus were first converted and then persecuted from 1560 all the way to 1812!
Over that period of 252 years, any man, woman, or child living in Goa could be arrested and tortured for simply whispering a prayer or keeping a small idol at home. Many Hindus -- and some former Jews, as well -- languished in special Inquisitional prisons, some for four, five, or six years at a time

I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation! Christians are often blamed for being too pushy.
My only explanation is the fact that when you become a believer, you are filled with so much joy, that you want others to feel that same Joy!
You want to tell the story how the spirit entered your life and made you feel so complete and so full of happiness! You simply want to share the tremendous love and caring that has come into your life.
I can't apologize about it, I just want you to be filled with joy and happiness as well!

For me, periods of doubts have ultimately served to strengthen my faith, and oftentimes by causing me to reevaluate what I thought I knew, resulting in me discovering greater truths about Jesus. Nijay's problem is that his parents never sat down and explained to him the Hindu philosophy. There's a lot of depth & wisdom in Hinduism. It takes a good teacher or dedicated self-study of the core Hindu scriptures to understand its principles. Nijay is not unique in facing this problem. Most of our parents' generation was like his parents. They never explained the rationale behind Hindu customs to their children. The reason being that for a majority of them this knowledge was not passed on to them by their parents either. When you cannot reason or connect with something logically - then disillusionment follows. You've to realize that India suffered repeated invasions, fatal attacks on its culture, colonization, proselytization, persecution of its people to the point that they were made to look down upon their own faith/culture for 800-1000 years. It was tragic because the Indian culture was always respectful of all religions. This shakes the foundation of a civilization. Yet it survived, because Hinduism is so deep & profound. Hinduism is not a religion, where an External God is worshipped like the Abrahamic faiths. It is a path of Self-enquiry. It questions human existence. It teaches spirituality to look inwards and transcend the sorrow which results from material existence. Its goals are Equanimity, Compassion, and to discover the Divinity within you. For a mundane person this will not become clear, unless you take up a serious study of the Hindu principles. We are Blessed because of the Information age!!! Our generation is better situated. Now, all Hindu scriptures, their translations, commentaries are easily accessible to us. Whenever there is a question in our mind, the answer is one click away. After having read the Hindu texts myself, I for one can very confidently say that once you've studied the ancient wisdom of Hindu philosophy and start practicing it, the connection with the Supreme Consciousness is inevitable. One would never need to look outside or explore other faiths. I'm truly proud of my heritage.

Exclusivity is the crux of abrahamic doctrines and none of the teachings in the so-called holy Books are practical or make sense - all childish 'my way or no way' rants, full of warnings of eternal hellfire for non-compliance and entry to Kingdom of heaven on taking exclusive membership!
Jesus and Muhammad followers - as per their religious Books have invaded, looted, subjugated, converted and destroyed hundreds of civilizations since the 2 millenia and now their offsprings talk about wisdom with the same ideology that tortured and killed their ancestors.
Jesus couldn't save himself, but can save all of humanity who praise him. Can it get more childish?
Jesus forgives his murderers, but gives eternal hell to those who refuse to believe him as ultimate saviour - so ridiculously hilarious and tragic at the same time as billions believe in this crap.

🌹Bhakti Yoga (Through devotion to any divine you love)
🌹Jnana Yoga(Thought intelligent like the Atheist)

Bob Roman's summary: Here is a summary and outline of the key points from the article:
    Summary:
The article is an interview with Nijay Gupta, a New Testament scholar who converted from Hinduism to Christianity as a teenager. Key points:
    - Nij grew up in a Hindu family in Ohio, but Hinduism was more cultural than devout for his family. As a kid, Nij struggled with feelings of not belonging and sadness.
    - In high school, Nij's older brother Neil converted to Christianity after being drawn to the love and community he saw in a local youth group. Neil invited Nij to attend the youth group too.
    - Nij quickly felt welcomed and loved by the Christian community. At a youth group retreat, he heard the gospel message of unconditional acceptance into God's family through Christ and felt he had found his place.
    - Telling his parents he was no longer Hindu was very difficult for Nij. It went against his family's culture to reject their heritage. His relationship with his parents was strained for some time.
    - As a new believer, Nij felt called to vocational ministry but ended up discovering a passion for scholarship. He now teaches at a seminary, helping prepare future pastors and ministers.
    - Nij continues to occasionally dialogue about faith with his father but he and his brother Neil remain the only Christians in the family. Nij has never regretted becoming a follower of Jesus.
    Outline:
    I. Nij's Hindu upbringing
    A. Parents immigrated from India
    B. Hinduism more cultural than devout for his family
    C. Struggled with loneliness and sadness as a child
II. Neil, Nij's brother, converts to Christianity
    A. Drawn to love/community of a youth group
    B. Invites Nij to attend the youth group
III. Nij converts after experiencing welcome and acceptance
    A. Youth group retreat - hears gospel message
    B. Finds place he belongs in God's family
IV. Difficulty telling parents he's no longer Hindu
    A. Rejecting family's heritage very hard in their culture
    B. Strained relationship for some time
    V. Becomes New Testament professor rather than pastor
    A. Discovers passion for scholarship in college
    B. Now helps prepare future ministers
VI. Remains committed believer decades later
    A. Occasional faith dialogues with father
    B. Only he and Neil are Christians in family

The problem with this young man like many second generation of Hindu families is inadequate understanding of Hinduism. All their parents ever taught to them was rituals without understanding the meaning behind . Their parents probably have no understanding of basics of Hinduism themselves and how they will explain to their children ? . This is the basic problem and would explain why Christianity with its simple concepts appear to be attractive. This young man has never been exposed to the literature and arts of India and seems to be very isolated. He probably was craving to be accepted by his peers and religion seems to be the best way to achieve this probably subconsciously and made him drift towards Christianity. He will hopefully one day will read about his own culture and religion and will realise how wonderful they are.

If u have an understanding capability of just grade one you better stick to Christianity. You arent on wrong path just a lower grade. All Abrahmic religions have a very simplistic explanations. The reason we Hindus dont believe in converting. ..you cannot just force someone into a higher grade. If they r ready to learn they will seek the answers themselves and climb up the grade to Sanatana Dharma. Hindus aren't believers but we seek and find out truth ourselves .

Pray for those who treat you badly. They are without understanding and in need of forgiveness. Follow the example of our saviour on the cross.

Profoundity in Hinduism or rather Sanatana Dharma makes Christianity seem like Grade one.
If u have an understanding capability of just grade one you better stick to Chistianity. You arent on wrong path just a lower grade. All other religions have a very simplistic explanations. We r not believers . We r seekers. The reason we Hindus dont believe in converting. ..you cannot just force someone into a higher grade. If they r ready to learn they will jump the grade to understand Sanatana Dharma. Else it's better you learn n do well in lower grades( Abrahmic religions)
