Hate the rain messed you up, but sounds like it is I'm better shape than you thought!! That's the whole reason I decided against hay farming. Between my crazy work schedule, the weather and lack of help...I figured I better stay to row crops. Little man seems to really enjoy that!! Loved seeing him ride !! Thank you for bringing us along!! The tedder did a really nice job on the hay. Those "Toy Tractors" are a real handy size for the tedder & rake work. Keep up the good work there. Take care.

@@stinsonfarms6724 That's what I call the John Deere 4600 that I have here. It was great when I did more hay work years ago. I could load it & the bar rake on my trailer then go wherever I needed to.
I have found for our area that we chase the mower with the tedder. As soon as I finish cutting the hay I'm out tedding it. What I cut today (Monday) and tedded I could bale come Wednesday. We used to wait till the next day but found we can cut a day of drying out by doing it this way. I will run though Tuesday morning one more time and let it set. No help till Thursday so we will bale it then. Good luck. I hate it when those pop up rain showers pop up.
I've never tried tedding the same day. Always cut one day ted the next and if I was rolling I'd roll the 3rd day, if square baling I'd bale the 4th day. I'll give it a try. Thanks.
The rollers krip and kinds mash it all together and only the top of the wind row will dry till you ted. Teding fluffs it up and spreads it out there for more surface area to dry and air though out the hay. Good luck.

New Holland did well! We tried tedding with our TC 45DA, and it didn't like our thick hay :)
