It's wonderful that your friend assisted you in moving. When I was young, I too moved a lot. However, my friends weren't as helpful as yours, I never got any help. If I were to move now, it would be a nightmare, because I have way too much stuff.

I too have a family that is never ready on time. I also have to tell them little porky pies and give them a time to be ready to leave that is about 45 mins earlier than needed, as I often arrive to pick them up and they answer the door with wet hair or half their makeup done and the one time that they were all still in bed! seriously! You have a lot to move but wait until you have to move a whole house of furniture as well as your cloths and other bits! I have moved 10 times during 10 years I’m staying in the uk. My hard learnt lesson is throw half of the stuffs away when you’re moving… and throw stuffs away every month. If I don’t use them for more than a year, they’re good to go.

You move a lot! By my mid-20s I was living in a succession of Victorian townhouses, usually leased for a year (sometimes two). There were always 3 bedrooms and 3 guys. Stable though, because one of the two was my best friend (3 years) and then of course the lover (though he eventually insisted we ditch a third roommate - he hated competition of ANY kind). But because the houses were like 1600 sqft, we were way past boxes even at 22 - full dining room set, living room, etc. Even so, we always moved ourselves (rented a truck). Last time I did half and half - actually hired movers, but next time: professionals all the way - things have grown into a 4 bedroom house, I mean come on. So spot on with Vietnamese time, my god!

I was living with a partner for several years, we bought a condo, moved in, and then we broke up a few months later - I moved out, but then after four months I moved back in (he could not afford to live by himself there) so we would sell the condo, but that did not work, so i moved out again. All together, I moved 4 times in one year ! But, the fourth move on my own was to a small apartment near the beach in Santa Monica, CA which I loved very much.
How did you collect so much stuff for a single person. But anyways, all the best for the new accommodation and hopefully you saty here for long. ❤❤❤😊😊😊
