The Land-Slide video is the best on the U-Tube channel. Bring it on,lol. U made it easy 4 a 62 yr old intermediate guitar player that is retired, thanks
You are a great instructor. Watched this because I have played this song for years, and wanted to see if I missed anything. Strumming on the and of 1 has fixed what I have always felt was sketchy.
@@LaurenBateman Hi Miss Lauren. Noticed that I and several others got messages to direct message you right away,we won something. Just checking to see if this is you. I've seen this on a couple other sites and it's turned out to be a scam on other people's sites. 🙏🎸❤️
OK second time this has happened... listening to radio today and heard Learning to Fly and decided to learn it. Then see Lauren has JUST put up a lesson 😃
Nice tutorial! I like the power chord version. I don’t think TP uses a F barre chord when playing live. Looks like he uses the Fmaj7 and down strums most of song.
A regular C-chord is much easier to play after an open F-chord n learning 2 fly. Hate bar chords, lol. Don’t get me wrong, love ur videos. Please make more like Land-Slide. People love it when I play it. I never finger-picked before and I appreciate u getting me started. God-Bless.
If you use Fadd9, Cadd5, Am7, and G, your pinky finger can stay on the 3rd fret of the high E string the whole time. And there's no barre chord. Fadd9 -- pinky on 3rd fret high-E; ring on 3rd fret D; middle on 2nd fret G; index on 1st fret B (no barre, yay!!) Cadd5 -- normal C chord, just add pinky to 3rd fret high-E string (you only have to move ring and middle fingers to get here from Fadd9) Am7 -- normal Am chord, just add pinky to 3rd fret high-E string (you only have to move ring finger to get here from Cadd5) G -- normal 3-finger G with pinky on 3rd fret high-E (you only have to move ring and middle fingers, and take off index, to get here from Am7) Hopefully this will help someone who hates barre chords as much as I do. LOL!
Hi Lauren, ah Tom Petty a legend. Iv'e had guitars kicking around for yrs. Mostly self taugh & I need to get that "click" to put it together. Anyway iv'e cased the electrics & dusted off the old accoustic & ordered some new string's tonight . Oh & subbed , greetings from Scotland 🏴👍
Oh sorry , I meant teacher / student seminar. Not "Stalker" want's to know where you'll be . That'd just be super creepy. No was wondering if your gonna be teaching when your here 👍👍🏴
since i am about to get the OK to begin playing again after my extensive front and back neck surgeries, the first thing I want to dois move from my acoustic, 6 and 12, strngs yo a hollow body. its been 8 months!!!!!!!!!!! what is that gretch I see hanging? likely a semi, but look brautiful. and what is YOUR fav 500.00 hollow or semi hollow body guitar.
Please do a lesson on Phil Collins "do you remember" The picking sequence is very beautiful yet simple I just cant figure what basic cords to use and pick
Love ya L.B,however, on the C chord after the F chord I think it sounds better to down strum, just saying. I think ur best video was Stevie Nix,people loves it when I play ur version, thank you.

Could. I didn't watch any live versions.
This is one I had to try with you. Fun how it still sounds like the song when I mess up the order I play the chords.
Ha ha. I kept doing that when I recorded this.
Thanks for a great song!
