In modern day society, we can be influenced to believe that we have to fit into a certain mold, to be what we want to be. Nothing could be further from the truth. Doing so, would actually take us far away from who we truly are, as a human being and the capacity we can have as a trial lawyer.
At the Gerry Spence Method, this is who we are and what we are about. Our program is built for each student to discover and most importantly, embrace who they are, at their core. This is the most powerful asset they could ever possess and with it, as Joey Low says, "then you need to commit, you need to love, you need to be passionate about you, and when you learn how to do that in your way, and in your style, and in your voice......you'll change the world."
There is only one program for trial attorneys looking to better themselves within every facet of their life. There is only one Thunderhead Ranch.

To be powerful in court you have to connect with others in a genuine way. This will only happen, effortlessly, after you have also committed to learning what is beautiful about everyone of them can be found in you as well. Until you accept your gifts and your warts you are not available to see and accept anyone else. Until you do there will be no genuine connection. There will just be you trying to be interesting and entertaining. This will not change minds or perceptions. It will only allow you to hide inside of yourself.

@@gerryspencemethod I am aware he founded the program and am delighted to hear he is still active. I shall take this moment to also thank the friends of Gerry Spence. When I was in law school, a tax law professor of mine would occasionally make the comment "it's not my money" to alleviate the stress of representation. It seems Spence encourages a different "I'll act as if it's my money" approach that values overt compassion. Both can have it's proper purpose at times, but I align with Spence in regards to general disposition.
I do not believe we were created in vain to live heedless hedonistic lifestyles. Lawyers should advocate for truth and justice. I believe that Spence and his followers understand that the best way to help advocates for truth and justice is to cultivate the lawyer's spiritual character. In this regard, I shall reiterate that this is a united effort among friends who may not know each other. My name is Wassim Malas and I am your friend.

As Gerry would say, and anyone driving off of Thunderhead Ranch will continually be reminded, "It all begins with you." We are as much a personal development program as we are a professional development program.
