  • Our first perennial shipment of the season arrived! It is always fun to see the baby plants and know that within a few short weeks they will be putting on a lot of growth and be ready to ship to your door.

    I really appreciate GC going all in on the eco pots this year. Yes they are more brittle, but I’d rather that than a single use plastic pot that will still be here long after I’m gone! I also appreciate you not going with a lightweight moss type planting medium, I’ve had more plants arrive waterlogged and dead with that, vs the soil GC uses. I’m counting the days for zone 10 to ship, your videos help me stay sane through these short wet days of winter. 😊

    I cloned this lavender Christmas tree that I had purchased at a grocery store, and although I was able to make quite a few successful babies, I was a little disappointed when I found out that the lavender did not flower. Even so, I have some beautiful landscape specimens in my garden thanks to my experiment.

    Heidi, I am new to your channel but I know you from probably Janey. This was really fun to see the process from plug to eventual sale. I’ve seen it from a different supplier but yours was much more detailed. Thanks to all the hard workers on your team for making these plants available to all of us. Especially here in North TX. We get some PW at certain garden centers, but not nearly enough. Will order soon!

    Quite an operation! Would it be safer to have the workers wearing face masks to prevent inhalation of potting soil particles?

    • @gardencrossings
      @gardencrossings  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      They have the option. They do not want to wear masks.

    Do these plants need to be hardened off by us before planting in our garden since they've been living in the green house?

    • @gardencrossings
      @gardencrossings  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It depends on where you live. If you are a warmer climate I would say yes. If you are a cooler climate, no they will have been harden off by the time they ship.
