Because northern Thailand took the brunt of typhoon Yagi. Many rivers converged in northern Thailand and flooded several regions. And all rivers lead to the sea. Also Thailand is just feet above sea level. Easy to flood w large river running directly thru Bangkok. I was waiting for it.

I’ve seen on TH-cam Bangkok Thailand will be all underwater in 30 years but you could be wrong if it ever will happen as you never know.
