Mrs Maisel Accounting

I have been working in accounting now for about a year, ever since the pandemic collapsed my industry. I'll admit that I don't have a background in it, but so far Shirley Maisel's approach to accounting sounds exactly normal. As far as I'm concerned, this is just how accounting is done.
This video was made as part of a commentary lecture series, to be used in a larger context on finances and therefore falls under Fair Use.

My mom did their accounting for years and never let my brother do it despite working in finance so when they got audited they paid THOUSANDS of dollars. I should’ve get bad but I just laughed because my mother was just like this and anytime she brought up being smart with money I just remind her about the audit and when she asks when I’ll let that go i tell her when she stops thinking she knows about things she obviously doesn’t.
