One of the best if not the best closed back planars. And we all know some brands that just can't make a decent closed back planar, don't we , Hifiman? Glad to be able to try those for a couple of days, a clear improvement over the V1. More musical, smooth, velvet sound without losing details. Excellent headphone to take on a long trip. Glad to have you back, my friend!🤗
My condolences to your loss and congratulations on your review. I already have the Liric 2 and love them, very nice closed-backs to complement the 109pro. One question: some reviewers talk about the piercingness and sparkle around 15-18 kHz that make this headphone unpleasant. Do you notice it? This doesn’t bother me at all, nor does it bother my young daughter
@@Soundnews DX9 arrived today. Wow it's really more musical after k9 pro ESS (Fiio made great job to make it sound fun for ESS dac). Bass is really different in AKM vs ESS implementation. Dx9 relaxed presentation also get rid of "toilet hiss" in 4k region (metal guitars or drums) in my Arya SE. Also I like that Dx9 is slightly warm vs k9 pro ess. Looks outstanding. One con that i faced that remote is not working from the box, I have to check if it's battery fault (fixed there was not battery XD). Overall I am happy with that device.
Hi sandu hope you're having a great day have question does the enleum 23RM the small guy powers the susvara in the same level as a single ahb2? And do you recommend any other amp for a susvara between ~3k$.
Hi, 23RM can't drive the Suzy as well as a power amplifier like AHB2. However, 23RM has a much more natural tone & timbre compared to the AHB2 and even if dynamics aren't the best with the 23RM, I would still go with this one. With that out of the way, for ~3K the best Susvara amplifier/s would be a pair of Flux Lab Acoustics Mentor (check my video or written review) and if you want a single box solution, then Burson Soloist 3X GT 2023 with V7 Classic op-amps and SP-02 modules would be my choice.
Welcome back Sandu glad to have you back in the grind! We missed your videos
Sincere condolences Sandu and thanks for the review, nice to see you back! Still enjoying the 109Pro's :)
Losing close friends is the Worst feeling ever :( I'm glad you're still rocking the 109 PRO's, they're still amazing, so no need to upgrade.

like the magnetic earpads, but they looked to come off quite easily in your vid... can you please tell us your experience on that?
Thanks for your review.
Thinking to upgrade from k9 pro ess. What would you pick topping dx9 or fiio k19? Thanks in advance
Hi,
Out of these two, I would pick the DX9 which does more justice to music.

Those vs Empyrean I/II ?
Dan Clark E3 or Meze Liric 2?
As mentioned at the end of the video, I'll try the DCA E3 at the Munich High End Show in 2 weeks and will report back. Will see how that goes
No contest - E3.
My condolences, TH-cam and reviews gets very insignificant when something like that happens.
