Thank you so much. I first read Space Below My Feet while learning to climb 40 years ago. It is one of my favorite books, and I've re-read it several times. My admiration for Gwen is huge, and seeing her happy and seeing her inspire you were gifts.
Not a climber, but have become fascinated to watch many 'good' films about climbing people. This is one really wonderful film about you both. Thanks and very well done!
Thank you for making such an amazing film and I wish you well in all your climbing and wherever life takes you. I had not heard of Gwen Moffat before watching this, I am a South Downs walker not a climber. Watching and listening to her, what a down to earth yet extremely courageous and inspiring lady she is. You must have loved the time you were able to spend with her.
I loved this Claire. I too went and found Gwen up in Penrith some 10 or more years ago and was surprised at how small she was. After reading her climbing exploits I was expecting an Amazonian woman! I’d also been on a mission to track down surviving members of the Rock & Ice and Gwen was able to throw light on this for me too. We won’t see their like again and I’m pleased she’s still with us 😊
I saw this at the Women’s climbing symposium, 2016 I think and it had a huge impact on me. I have just found it again, life is chucking me some curve balls at the moment and this beautiful film is giving me hope that I will be OK again.
What a film, and what a person Gwen is! I'm so happy to have found this after my local climbing gym shared it as their video of the week. Reckon I need to source some of Gwens books now 😀
Really good film, the footage of Left Unconquerable was extra enjoyable having just done my first lead of it this weekend. It was very stressful watching her in those last few moments before reaching the jug
"I don't miss them anymore then I miss climbing, ice climbing or climbing rock. I've had them; it's part of me. It's like the saying when you come to the end of your life, 'do you miss your life?' No, I had it. I mean, had it in the best sense. I've enjoyed it. I've had my moments and I don't miss them, because they're there, a part of me."
She was the first female BMG (british mountain guide) how is it disrespectful to state a fact??? Being a BMG is an actual title and gwen was the first woman to be one.
Great film loved it. ”I don’t miss mountains I had them.”

Gwen you are my rock, snow and ice star. Bold & inspirational.
Beautiful film, thank you.
What a wonderful film. Absolutely love it.
"The mountains don't change. People do...."
Tell that to the gendarme that fell off sgur nan gilean on skye.
Beautiful! Respect to Gwen and her fellow pioneers.
Claire and Jen thank you soo much for this amazing video about Gwen Moffat. Such wonderful woman!

Outstanding! Thank you
Something extremely powerful and moving about this film. It has, like all the people in it, a very good heart.
I read the "space" book many years before I became a climber.
Not my inspiration to climb but I did learn navigation because of her tales.
Such an incredible film. Well done Jen and co!
Love this, thank you for making it!
Absolutely Beautiful 💕

Lovely
incredible set of women
A bit disrespectful, calling him Britain's first female mountain guide.
