I am 48 I have been in church practically my whole life. My parents did not go to church but believed in God. I've been filled with so many different things Telling me what a Christian is I got to the point that I was confused about My walk with God, I have the biggest fear ,the most crippling fear that I will end up in hell. I cry a lot over this and I beg God not to send me to hell. And I don't want to be afraid anymore. I feel like I have suffered my whole life. Wondering whether I was really saved or not whether I was on the right path or not, this question has plagued me My whole wife, the fear is literally crippling.
3 things that completely changed my life: 1. I stopped thinking about the past... 2. l read the book: Your Life Your Game by keezano 3. I started believing in God.
I fell in to depression I thought I lost my salvation and started to go to sexual sin but steal went to church hoping i can go back and told my pastor at the time he just prayed for me cause was addicted then I had a supernatural experience and got set free and lost the desire to my sexual sin thank you lord. This was I few years ago. Well before COVID
I have been battling this very question for a few months now. And asked the Lord for the truth of it. Then i saw this today. I'm so glad Pastor you did do this podcast. God Bless
So grateful for your study on this concept. I was a true believer, but I walked away from the faith and completely denied, not only the blood of our savior, but that we had been created by a loving God. By the grace of God, I was called back to the truth, and I have been warning Christians against unconditional security.
I have a similar story , falling into sin by listening to the enemy , It seems that the palm of God is truly open nothing can separate us from God but constant willfull rejection A point that I almost was at and I feared the Lord but he showed me mercy and has made a way in my heart to live Holy and righteous and when I fall short to understand the grace of God in Christ not to abuse it
@@WilliamsPinch if it were not for the grace of Eternal Security and the faithfulness of God to His promises, how would you have come back to the faith? Did you come back on your own? Or did Jesus come and get you?
As a kid I went to church with my mom. We believed in Jesus. Circumstances in our life led us to blame God, we stopped going to church and ultimately “walked away” even started getting into other practices. We also resented Christians. I was lost for about 7 years. A slave to alcohol and wanted to die. I yelled out to God, angrily to save me, I still blamed Him for my consequences from my own disobedience. But He started to peruse me. Finally I went back to church. I prayed with the people there, professed my faith again, and was baptized. God removed the obsession of alcohol and promiscuity. I no longer resented Him or christians and I started to read the Bible again and to learn about Him. I prayed for years for the rest of my family. I began to feel that they would never come back. But then one by one they all came back to the lord. My mom, two sisters and my aunt. Because we were His before, He came after us as His lost sheep. And He brought us back to Himself. We are not perfect still but His grace and sacrifice is perfect, and we are in the process of being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
As a believer, I have used the doctrine of OSAS to continue to dabble in sin. Sin enslaves. We are not saved by nor kept by works, or having our good deeds outweigh the bad. But if you continue in sin, eventually you won't care and then It is too late.
In the Holy Bible, look up words & phrases such as "abide," "stand fast," "persevere," "endure," "be faithful," "remain steadfast," "endure to the end," "continue," "hold fast," etc. When you do, you quickly see that OSAS is not biblical. However, one cannot "lose" salvation. Rather, one chooses to "forfeit" her/his salvation.
Agreed, OSAS is not Biblical. I’ll add I want to be careful not to sound harsh and not loving. I comment against OSAS for what I think the same reasons others comment against it and that is a believer could become complacent or reluctant or better to say comfortable with living in sin and that act , we are told, (the act of living in sin as a believer) will bar you from an inheritance, the inheritance of the Kingdom of God.
It is Biblical. Every believer will be kept to the end, because of 1 Peter 1:5, John 6, and 1 Corinthians 1:8. Yet still, it is practically important to endure in the closer, more immediate scale of life as we strive against sin and cling to the Lord from week to week.
You can't choose to "forfeit" your salvation. That is not biblical. You are obviously confused. If we believe in Christ, we know that we have eternal life right now! You don't earn salvation at the end of your physical life because you did whatever behavior or performance until the end. 1 John 5 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
From what i learned, let's say a dad gives a gift to a child, and that child accepts that gift, but later, that child would leave that gift behind broken and abandoned. We have the option to keep our gift or even abandon it. Good point on the free will and also the "erase" part. That really opened up my eyes and fed me spiritually. Thank you, Beveres, and thank you, Lord, for this beautiful family.
Amen Truly glad you explained this topic… that’s definitely how you keep a healthy fear of the Lord. I completely agree things that shouldn’t be hard to talk about the body sometimes finds ways to make it hard to talk about… I’ve learned a lot from you and your ministry i am also a pastor… Love your heart and thankful God has anointed you to lead and teach many 🙏
God sent me a dream showing me a mass of millions of people online and told me they didn’t have assurance of salvation. Once they received the word they all lit up and became full of joy and it spread like a fire 🔥 of celebration
The understanding of the difference between my "soul" and "Spirit" and the revelation of the finished work of Calvary to not only allow me to receive a new nature but to sever me...by faith truly sever me from the old .....This enabled me to tap in to the power I needed to stand....... I do know that as believers we have a choice but if a believer Identifies as being both a sinner and a saint at the same time it short circuits the power available.....
Thank you for this presentation. I've heard teachings to the contrary but they never made sense to me after reading some of the scriptures you've referenced. Thank you, again.
Thank you, Pastor John & your son! Awesome teaching encouraging us to live in the reverential fear of our God, which is the beginning of wisdom! GOD bless you & yours amen
Mr. Bevere you are right for asking this question. Because many people are in hell, many Christians too, and they say "Lord, Lord, we have eaten and drunk in thy presence... And He shall say i know you not.. depart from me" Luke 13 v 24-28 "And hereby we know that we know him if we keep his commandments" 1 John 2 v 3-6. We need to repent for our sins, turn away from our sinful nature, live holy lives and pursue righteousness and live as Christ taught us to live. Always repenting everyday and every hour for our sins are many and His blood is the only thing that can save us. To answer: Christ is our salvation but also we must live holy lives because He will not dwell in us if we do not keep his word. 1 John 2 v 5
Thank you so much for sharing this teaching! It both shook me and blessed me tremendously. I want to know if/when I am going in the wrong direction. Thank you for loving correction.
I listen to this podcast because i believe that we, Christians can lose our salvation. Because the scriptures in the Bible said so. And i love to listen to other Christians and hear how they preach this topic. 😊 My husband and i had brought out this topics to Christians around us, they all disagree even though we show them many scriptures in the bible, and many did not have the interest to talk about it. 😢 May mercy and grace of the Lord be upon us, and let all of us to increase in the knowledge of him.
Agreed. Look up words & phrases such as "abide," "stand fast," "persevere," "endure," "be faithful," "remain steadfast," "endure to the end," "continue," "hold fast," etc. It is evident that one can freely choose to "forfeit" salvation.
This message is spot-on. I love the part of the message where it talks about where people use the example where God says He'll never leave you nor forsake you. All of the people who go and visit Hell and meet Jesus in their near-death experiences have said when you wind up in Hell, you inherently know it's because you sent yourself there. You chose to go there and it was not God that sent you there. No one is blaming God for sending them there because you inherently know in your spirit hardwired that you sent yourself there by sinning and that the price and cost of that sin is eternal damnation. Even those who were not raised in the church who were never taught about any of this are in Hell knowing that they sent themselves there. This is according to an unbelievable amount of testimonies of near-death experience survivors who have come back and shared this.
I am so glad you decided to do this episode. I needed to hear this. I was raised in the belief that ”once saved always saved” and for the first time, through your reading of scripture, I understand the TRUTH. This is something that needs to be preached from the mountain tops. I have always struggled with this. This teaching really underlines the importance of living in prayer and the word. Thank you again❤
Thank you so much Pastor Bevere, I have been a Christian for many years. I question this question myself. Thank you, thank you thank you. I appreciate you, Lisa and your family in all you offer to the world. Blessings
I doubted eternal security until I learned about the differences between the KJV and other bible versions. Other versions lead to lots of confusion about salvation. I believe the KJV, with verses read in context, clearly teaches eternal security.
Salvation belongs to the Lord. It's a gift. The moment I pick up my salvation, I'll lose shortly thereafter, l leave it in the Father's hands. Jesus said he who the father gives me I will by no means cast out, they are in my father's hand and mine, noting can remove them from it. Paul said he who began a good work in you will see it to completion until the day of Christ, if you believe in the finished work sealed by the Spirit , you are eternally secure.
Thank you so much for being courageous and still doing this teaching despite whatever blowback you could face. It was such a great video, and I will most definitely be sharing it with others. BIG blessings and squishy squeezes for and the family! 🙏🤗💖
Lol so then ultimately it all boils down to YOU and YOUR doing. How well you are doing in turning from YOUR sins. sounds like a self centered gospel you got there bud. How about CHRIST CHRIST CHRIST gospel? Its all about him. What are you going to tell christ when you meet him? i repented enough of my sins I turned from my sins I did good i , ME ME ME. all about me. How about faith in the redemption and mercy of christ that was poured out on the cross? if you read the book of romans chapter 3-4 its all about Christ rightouesness not your own rightouesness. and through faith you get clothed with HIS rightouesness, you see its all about him from the beginning to the end.
@@langw2461If you read Romans 6 it says to Christians several times not to use your body for an instrument of sin but for an instrument of righteousness. Jesus says to abide in His words, which I think is what believing in Him means. Doesn’t mean we’re not saved by grace and that God won’t forgive us when we ask but it means we have all the more reason to do works out of a glad heart. “Working together with Christ, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain.” 2 Corinthians 6:1
WOW, I have had the exact thing happen more than once. I was praying for my neighbour one time, who I barely knew. I immediately heard His voice say "She will never turn to me, do not pray for her". I've had it happen once or twice.
From a church the teaches always saved. To encounter with the Holy Spirit, a revelation of baptism to now asking this question for a few years wrestling with scripture and God leaning towards you can lose it. I had a thought awhile ago God is faithful but man isn't. That why we called to keep the faith. We have a choice to walk away and deny Jesus after accepting him. Thanks for this because it's adding more scripture to wrestle with and I believe God will lead me to truth!! Amen!
Funny you said that "done with you" before my encounter with the Holy Spirit I was sitting crying out to God after church hurt. "If this is the example of who you are I want nothing to do with you, but if not I need you to show me who you are!" He showed up!!!!
I didn't truly fear God either until my chest was over whelmed with anxiety and fear and I quoted scriptures that I thought secured me even though I kept rebelling against God giving into the anxiety and the depression. I believe that your secure in the hands of God until you deliberately reject him I've experienced it after falling away and coming back so many times
What a wonderful video thank you God for sending me this. This was the topic I had poor sleep over and terror with throughout my days. I was always grappling with it and terrified of. I especially like that part at the end where it was acknowledged that someone who is OSAS can be saved same as the other one. Thanks guys
I’m not sure but what about the parable of the seed and soil. It says one seed grows cause it was in good soil however the other 3 didn’t. I’m specifically talking about the one where it says but don’t quote me that one will grow but eventually will be choked out by thorns. Basically saying people will follow Jesus but eventually going back their old ways. Which I guess could say lose your salvation since it wasn’t good soil. I’m not sure. Ready for the video to get more understanding. I just thank god for him allowing yall to reach people so we can be planted in good soil.
AMEN praise the lord Jesus for that healthy holy loving fear! It keeps me on the narrow path, I never want to be apart from Jesus ever again. I was the 1 out of 99 . Thank you Jesus for saving me and redeeming me!!
Thankyou for discussing sound doctrine. I felt the same way about Salvation after reading the gospels by myself and under the Holy Spirit’s guidance. “Those who endure till the end will be saved” Jesus repeatedly said this and it was the bottomline for me. Thankyou for your obedience to the Lord❤
My basic answer would be: do we have free will? When you marry is it possible to divorce? Then yes, you can step away from your salvation if you lose your mind on sin.
How can you “unbelieve” once you have believed that Jesus is the son of God who died to pay the penalty for our sin. Who rose again and is seated at the right hand of the Father. How do you stop believing the truth?
Just a thought from someone who lives from online marketing: what if you include the patron and sponsorship section in your live video? I think it would make a much bigger impact.
Don’t ever condemn yourself because of something someone tried to explain. Never lose faith in Jesus Christ and never turn your back on him and you will be saved! it is literally that simple. God bless!
Jesus i pray so hard for those addicts who died either thru OD or some other tragic way while actively in sin and bondage....only you know the hearts of every person and you are more gracious and wonderful then any of us can imagine.
This is so good. Please thoroughly explain sin. Maybe there’s another video. But I just had my daughter defend her son saying he isn’t bad (as in doesn’t drink, smoke, etc) yet he doesn’t like to OBEY parental instructions.
Just let the Bible speak... Matt 8:10-12 - outsider has faith, sons of the kingdom will be cast out Matthew 10:22 - only those who endure to the end will be saved Matt 10:28 - fear Him who can destroy body and soul. (Why? If we're already saved?) Matthew 13:20-21 “falls away” from what? Paul says they fall away from grace (Gal 5:4) Matthew 21:43 kingdom of God is taken away from those who already have it Matthew 24:13 - only those who endure to the end will be saved Matthew 24:45-51 faithful servant falls away and cast into hell Mark 13:20 Had the Lord not cut short the days, all who were saved would be led astray and/or not able to endure Luke 8:13 - believes for awhile, but falls away John 3:16 - Greek - keeps on obeying. Believe is better translated obey John 3:36 - not believing (or "rejects" in some translations) is more accurately translated disobey. And it's in present tense, which means it's an ongoing action. You must continue in obedience to be saved. John 5:24 - Greek tense is keeps listening and continuing to trust will continue to have eternal life John 6:36 - verb tense is present, not aorist. He who “keeps on coming” will not be cast out John 8:51 - why doesn't Jesus say "faith" instead of obedience? John 10:27-29 - Greek tense means to keep on hearing, keep on knowing them, keep on following John 15:6 “cuts off” same as Romans 11:17ff where branches are broken off or Heb 6:7-8 where thorny land is cursed/burned John 15:6 says those who were once connected to Christ are now dead branches and are cast away to be burned. Romans 2 - whole chapter deals with being judged according to our works (esp. v. 1-14) Romans 8:12-17 “if” “fall back” “provided we” (all conditional terms) Romans 11:17-23 olive branches cut off and/or grafted in - former believer can be grafted in again if repents again Romans 13:11 - salvation is not yet come 1 Cor 8:11 - weaker brother can perish - perish is the same root word as John 3:16 1 Cor 9:27 - Paul can be disqualified 1 Cor 10:1-13 (v. 4 says they had Christ, v. 12 says they can fall) 1 Cor 11:32 - Christians disciplined by God so they won't be condemned with the world 1 Corinthians 15:1-2 “if” - “believed in vain” means was once a believer, but didn't hold to the teaching after initially believing. Gal 5:4 - severed from Christ, fallen from grace - Paul speaking to brothers (Gal 4:28, 31) who turn to law for justification, and turn away from grace Galatians 5:19-21: Why does Paul tell Galatian Christians that works of the flesh, if they are repeatedly practiced, will prevent them from entering the Kingdom of God? Ephesians 5:3-7: Why does Paul warn Ephesian Christians that immoral, impure, and greedy people have no inheritance in the kingdom of God or of Christ? Why does he warn them of this right after telling them not to be immoral, impure, and greedy themselves? Phil 1:6 - began - complete: it's a process, and people leave the process quite often Col 1:22-23 “if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel” 1 Thess 3:5-8 Paul says his labor would have been in vain if the Tempter had led them astray. Commends them for standing fast. Helmet is the hope of salvation to come, not a completed salvation. 2 Thess 2:3 - will be a falling away (apostasy in NASB) 1 Timothy 3:13 - Assurance doesn't come from acknowledgement, but from serving (good works done in faith)! 1 Timothy 4:1 Spirit says they will be those who abandon the faith. They must have faith already in order to abandon it. 1 Tim 5:11-15 Believing young widows can let their worldly desires draw them away from Christ and abandon their former faith 1 Tim 5:15 Some young widows have already strayed after Satan “abandoned their former faith” Previous verse says they are drawn away from Christ. v.15 says they strayed after Satan. Strayed from what? Must have faith already to stray in his direction. 1 Tim 6:20-21 - guard the deposit (of the Holy Spirit), some did not and wandered from the faith 2 Timothy 2:11-13 disown Him - law of the day was to disown disobedient sons. See Irenaeus, Book IV 2 Tim 4:7-8 “kept the faith” see also Rev 2:10-11 2 Tim 4:10 Hebrews 2:1-3 - can drift away, if neglect salvation, you will not escape. God doesn't send people to hell; they choose to go Hebrews 3:1-19 - holy brothers if they hold fast (v.6) and don't change from a believing heart to an unbelieving heart (v.12) “if' in verses 6 and 14. 18-19 - Unbelief and disobedience are tied together as are belief and obedience in other passages. Hebrews 4:6 and 11 - those who received the gospel failed to enter His rest because of disobedience. Hebrews 5:9 - Jesus saves those who obey Him Hebrews 6:4-12 - is said to be controversial. Why? “impossible” (v.4) applies to those who are still living in grave sin, bearing “thorns and thistles” (v.8). They “are crucifying” not “was.” Has nothing to do with impossibility of “was” repentant sinner returning. Rom 11:24 says former believer can be grafted back in. Clearly stated again in 10:26-29, trample underfoot the Son of God, 10:32- “enlightened” is same as saved in context of passage. “Tasted” means saved as evidenced in 1 Peter 2:2-3. Hebrews 8:9 - They did not continue in the covenant so God disregarded them. Hebrews 9:28 - Christ is bringing salvation later. It is not here yet. Hebrews 10 - see paragraph below for explanation Hebrews 10:14 - Christ perfects those who are being sanctified (implying that if you no longer are being sanctified, no dice) Hebrews 10:26-29 if we (Paul is speaking to believers - "sanctified" in v. 29 is also a believer) keep on sinning, no sacrifice for sins if believer continues in known sin, also clearly stated in another way in 38-39 - ‘righteous one’ is destroyed for shrinking back (see “shrinking” in 1 John 2:28) James 5: 19-20 brethren “wanders away” friend saves him from death 1 Peter 4:18 - why is it hard for righteous "to be" saved? Answer? We must endure. It is difficult. 1 Peter 5:8-9 - Devil seeks Christians to devour and they must resist him. 2 Peter 1:9-11 - Must live a godly life to confirm calling, and gain entrance to kingdom. Speaking to believers in v 9 2 Peter 2 - False prophets who were believers, still living among believers, and leading other believers astray. “bought them” (v.1) “feast with you” (v13 and 18) believers didn't feast w unbelievers or knowingly learn from them, escaped the world, but “again entangled” (20), knew it, but turned back (21), returned from washing (symbol of baptism) (22) If you read the context of this chapter, it is definitely saying you can leave the faith. 2 Peter 3:17 - carried away by sin and fall from your secure position or lose your stability 1 John 2:24-25 “if” 1 John 2:28 - shrinking in shame at His appearing (compare with shrinking back in Heb 10:38-39) 2 John 1 v.8-9 (clearly speaking to believers) Jude 5 - saved, but then destroyed those who did not believe Jude 12 “twice dead?” only born again can die twice Rev 2:10-11 be faithful 910752 Rev 3:3 Christ comes against those who do not keep His word Rev 3:5, 3:11-12, 3:21 - the one who conquers (overcomes) Rev 22:19 - God will take away their share in the tree of life
I walked away in 2019, fell into sin, alcoholism, I came back to Christ in January of this year and now I’m more on fire for Christ than I ever was before. Am I saved? Or did my fall in 2019 nullify where I’m currently at? 🥺
Yes your back under grace, the Holy Spirit has convicted you and you responded with repentance and humility and obedience. So good for you. But in my opinion, no one is “saved” as a status. You must hold firmly to your salvation. We need to be saved over and over. We’ll finally and fully be saved when either we meet the lord after death or he returns and finds us faithful
The Bible says the righteous will fall but will get back up! You had fallen, but the Holy Spirit has helped you come back in relationship with your Father. Stay close to Him, that is all you have to do, because if you are close you will only desire Him nothing else that replaces Him. You will also see He will fight your battles and take care of the rest!
I agree with you 100% there is going to be alot of shocked Christians. Another thing is if you continue sinning without conviction that's a tell tale sign that the holy spirit is no longer living in you. Have an open mind and take in what Mr. Bevere is saying. His book awe of God, i highly recommend it will help grow you in relationship and understanding. God bless you brothers and sisters.
He never leaves you. Its that you stop listening and his voice is no longer heard and its a whisper. If you repent and come back to him. You will hear his voice once again, but then again if the Holy Spirit is no longer heard than likely you wont repent.
John Calvin taught the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints. In this doctrine, salvation was 100% by the grace of God, awakening a dead sinner, and the person had to live a consistent, holy life to have assurance of salvation. But once that doctrine was combined, during the Post-Modern era, with a Wesleyan-Arminian view of free-will, that a person could simply make a decision for Christ (rather than God-initiated regeneration)-that is where we got the OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) doctrine of today. If you study modern adherents of Reformed (Calvinistic) doctrine today like John Piper and Paul Washer, for example, they definitely don't hold to OSAS, but rather an eternal security of the believer that is accompanied by faithful trust in Christ and living an obedient, holy life.
Jesus only you can help me as single mother. I know you will Guide me. Lord as I struggle to make ends meet. Both of my sons are special needs and require much from me. It’s difficult to raise children alone. But with your help Lord JESUS I CAN not FAIL, continue to give me strength as I tirelessly struggle to provide the basic necessities for my children. It is your will.
When somebody asks me if they can lose their Salvation, I tell them what my pastor used to say, “Not if you keep it in a safe place”. As to say, we all have to work out our Salvation with fear and trembling, and ENDURE in the faith until the END. There are no exceptions. If you do not work out your Salvation, and if you are willfully disobedient to Christ, you are in SIN. What I don’t understand is someone who would taste such a beautiful Salvation and return to the world. What in hell would they want? Okay…what in the world?
2 Peter 2:21 This passage is not about Christians but is part of a broader section in 2 Peter 2 where the apostle Peter warns against false teachers and their destructive influence. These individuals once had some knowledge of "the way of righteousness" (the gospel and the teachings of Christ), but they deliberately turned away from it, returning to sinful behavior.
I GOT saved at 18 years old i came from a broken home but had a good Family i was so on fire for the Lord and tried so hard to live according tohow i was supose to but time again my hole life falli g back into certaain sins especially serving in military . Then geting Married with best of intentions and having a family . Well i lost that and just fell deeper into sin . Only to redirected my life to serving The lord and he Restoring me Just dont give up his LOVE is un comprehendable . WE HALF to be obedient and not take his Grace for granite
I fell away from the knowledge of Jesus into sin for about 9 years and I can assure you - I was miserable and I tried EVERYTHING to make myself happy and nothing worked.
This is excellent SOUND DOCTRINE. Critical for the purification and further faithfulness assurance of your salvation. The Lord is coming for His church, and SOON. Well done John & Aiden.
The most direct scripture I've seen on this is this. Revelation 22:19 (KJV) 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Almost my entire life I thought no one could ever lose salvation no matter what, about three or four years ago I had an insight which I won’t bother sharing right now, and I realized that though hard it may be, but it is actually possible and not because God desires it to be possible But it is possible to spiritually divorce from God and leave him, he’s never the one leaving us, but I do believe some who have been born of the spirit chose the separate from him. Jesus compares becoming a believer to being born a second time and the same vain just as people can commit suicide, likewise people can commit spiritual suicide.
O ne of the ways I’ve come to understand this is right now we are who have been called by the Lord and accepted His invitation to the Wedding feast though it hasn’t happened yet are in the Betrothal period to Christ. The Bride can break off the engagement even though Christ Remains Faithful to His Word. Great video my Brothers in Christ. Made me think 🤔 even more deeper about this one.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Better to err on the side of caution. Don't wander away from God and say that you don't believe, or that may become your "truth," and it's not going to be good. But if you still want to know God, and you want to come back, repentance is your best friend as it comes from the Holy Spirit.
Also…Calvin never invented “once saved always saved” That’s the ridiculous caricature of what he did teach. He taught Perseverance of the Saints which taught that those who are truly saved will or can never walk away from God.
I have seen personally majority of Christians believe they can still enter Heaven while living in sin. Scripture says a Believer's name can be blotted out of the Book of Life. Ezekiel 3:19-21 ,speaks about WARNING Unbelievers and Believers who continue walking in iniquity and they will die in their sin and the righteous acts which the righteous has done will not be remembered. We have to warn bc Jesus says their blood will be on our hands. We are to be watchmen for the Church giving warnings bc if you don't their blood will be on your hands.
As for those not deceived and who are not pulpit puppets understand this: Eve was tempted when Satan said, "you will surely not die" Satan says the same thing to those who are saved, "you will or can lose your salvation." It's the same lie of temptation to turn away from your faith and cause doubt! This lie and misinterpretation of what Paul says arose out of those like Judas who are not saved and those who only have a book are swept away by the lie! The Lord has charges against the shepherds who scatter his flock! So he himself goes out to his own! Another lie! Cain said, "whoever finds me will kill me." And he received a mark on his body! Those who are insincere also have a mark on them saying the exact same thing Cain did! "Who is like the beast, who can make war with him?" The word of God is a double edged sword! On one side are the permissions given to Satan - the law! On the other side are the instructions to God's own possession! This is made clear with the conversation with Satan in the book of Job and is seen all through scripture. And especially visible and plain to see in the book of Revelation. Keep yourself from idols! Understand this also. Upon Jesus came the fullness of God in bodily form as a dove. But upon the children a flame of fire SEPARATED and lit upon each of them! Jesus is the one who baptized with fire. We individually are like a smoldering wick and will not be united until Jesus comes and when he comes all these candles will be gathered together and united and the embers will become a flame that destroys the kingdom of the Antichrist! Keep yourself from idols!!!
Thank you John and son, important teaching presented clearly😊 However, it saddens me that we have to walk through 'the shop' first, before entering the gathering of the saints around His Word... can I suggest you position the shopping till after the message?
Have you ever struggled with doubts or fears about your salvation? How did you overcome them?
Declaring the truth from the Bible helped me a lot
@@Gloria-ht9sp Same. It's something we as Christians need to do more often!
Repenting and clinging to the precious promises of the Word of God.
Simply surrendering the doubts to the Lord, the God of my salvation
I am 48 I have been in church practically my whole life. My parents did not go to church but believed in God. I've been filled with so many different things Telling me what a Christian is I got to the point that I was confused about My walk with God, I have the biggest fear ,the most crippling fear that I will end up in hell. I cry a lot over this and I beg God not to send me to hell. And I don't want to be afraid anymore. I feel like I have suffered my whole life. Wondering whether I was really saved or not whether I was on the right path or not, this question has plagued me My whole wife, the fear is literally crippling.
3 things that completely changed my life:
1. I stopped thinking about the past...
2. l read the book: Your Life Your Game by keezano
3. I started believing in God.
Great story🙌🏼
Awesome.
awesome book, God bless you
I fell in to depression I thought I lost my salvation and started to go to sexual sin but steal went to church hoping i can go back and told my pastor at the time he just prayed for me cause was addicted then I had a supernatural experience and got set free and lost the desire to my sexual sin thank you lord. This was I few years ago. Well before COVID
I have been battling this very question for a few months now. And asked the Lord for the truth of it. Then i saw this today. I'm so glad Pastor you did do this podcast. God Bless
It’s false. Once justified always justified. Hebrews 6 is clear. Only ONE REPENTANCE to salvation.
His teaching is wrong…. not the first time I have heard him teach on something that was wrong.
So grateful for your study on this concept. I was a true believer, but I walked away from the faith and completely denied, not only the blood of our savior, but that we had been created by a loving God. By the grace of God, I was called back to the truth, and I have been warning Christians against unconditional security.
I have a similar story , falling into sin by listening to the enemy , It seems that the palm of God is truly open nothing can separate us from God but constant willfull rejection
A point that I almost was at and I feared the Lord but he showed me mercy and has made a way in my heart to live Holy and righteous and when I fall short to understand the grace of God in Christ not to abuse it
Praise God!❤
@@WilliamsPinch if it were not for the grace of Eternal Security and the faithfulness of God to His promises, how would you have come back to the faith? Did you come back on your own? Or did Jesus come and get you?
@@WilliamsPinch you can’t repent twice to salvation. If you truly were saved and could have lost it it’s over.
@@davidchupp4460What about the parable of the prodigal son?
Thanks for the message. I have discussed the subject of "once saved always saved" and totally agree with what John Bevere teaches here.
Amen!
God bless you child of God.❤
As a believer, I have used the doctrine of OSAS to continue to dabble in sin. Sin enslaves. We are not saved by nor kept by works, or having our good deeds outweigh the bad. But if you continue in sin, eventually you won't care and then It is too late.
Not once saved always saved, if saved always saved.
I agree! Because if you have been brought back to life there ain't no way you can go back to that grave!!!
Even though one can " forfeit" their salvation, nonetheless...it is STILL A LOSS! Regardless of using the word "lose", to lose something is a LOSS!
You can't choose to "forfeit" your salvation. That is not biblical. You are obviously confused. If we believe in Christ, we know that we have eternal life right now! You don't earn salvation at the end of your physical life because you did whatever behavior or performance until the end.
1 John 5
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
@@GiftofGrace88 So who is Hebrews 6:4-6 referring to then?
Never apologise for speaking the truth, John. People need strong leaders. Don't fear man.
Since Salvation is gift from God, the only way to lose it is to give it back... 🙏
Thank you for being courageous always Pastor on speaking the word of God.
Amen Truly glad you explained this topic… that’s definitely how you keep a healthy fear of the Lord. I completely agree things that shouldn’t be hard to talk about the body sometimes finds ways to make it hard to talk about…
I’ve learned a lot from you and your ministry i am also a pastor… Love your heart and thankful God has anointed you to lead and teach many 🙏
God sent me a dream showing me a mass of millions of people online and told me they didn’t have assurance of salvation. Once they received the word they all lit up and became full of joy and it spread like a fire 🔥 of celebration
It changed my life. He also showed me the word “Acts” and “Galatians”
I've never seen this explained so well. Thank you for your obedience.
I absolutely LOVE hearing Arden’s thoughts and perspective.
Thank you for teaching on this subject. God bless you all.❤
God bless You - John Bevere.
Amen.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Such a needed teaching for the Church !!!
Great teaching!!
And He shall say i know you not.. depart from me" Luke 13 v 24-28
"And hereby we know that we know him if we keep his commandments" 1 John 2 v 3-6.
Thanks John Bevere and Arden for your boldness to teach God's word.
My husband and i had brought out this topics to Christians around us, they all disagree even though we show them many scriptures in the bible, and many did not have the interest to talk about it. 😢
May mercy and grace of the Lord be upon us, and let all of us to increase in the knowledge of him.
Agreed. Look up words & phrases such as "abide," "stand fast," "persevere," "endure," "be faithful," "remain steadfast," "endure to the end," "continue," "hold fast," etc. It is evident that one can freely choose to "forfeit" salvation.

John 10:48 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 🙏🏼
Finally a pastor willing to tell the TRUTH!!
Thank you so much for this breakdown of Salvation! Watching your podcast is definitely one of the best decisions I made this year🙏🏾
Thank you so much John & Arden 🙏🏾
All I can say is, "Lord, thank you for JB". I am super enriched by your insight into scripture.
1john says anyone who walks away was never really of us
been waiting for this one!!!
It’s actually false.
Amen brother.
I was struggling with this EXACT thought/question right before I noticed the premiere to this earlier. This really helped me 🙏🏼
Anyone that struggles with scrupulosity is all tore up right now after listening to this.
I don’t know how people can’t see this for themselves. Almost every page of the bible you can see this in scriptures. It’s not hidden.
He who drinks will NEVER THIRST. Never means NEVER.
And if you fill your mouth yet spit it out? Or drink the water and then force yourself to vomit?
Really well done 👏🏻🙌🏻
It's real simple turn so you don't burn. Stay in the word and stop loving sin over Jesus .
That was not God saying that. Pray for her.
I need about 3 more video/podcast hours of this subject
Thank you for this!
Thank you John and Arden! Thank you Jesus!
Absolutely powerful!!!
Im excited for this one
Me too!

What a wonderful video thank you God for sending me this.
This was the topic I had poor sleep over and terror with throughout my days. I was always grappling with it and terrified of.
I especially like that part at the end where it was acknowledged that someone who is OSAS can be saved same as the other one. Thanks guys
Totally agree 👍🏻
Thank you Jesus for saving me and redeeming me!!
...a guy named Calvin came along and introduced "once saved always saved".😊
That's not biblical you can walk away from the anointing
Yeah, Calvin did. Not God. You can walk away from the faith.
Yes Same!!
❤ To God be the glory
My basic answer would be: do we have free will? When you marry is it possible to divorce? Then yes, you can step away from your salvation if you lose your mind on sin.
How can you “unbelieve” once you have believed that Jesus is the son of God who died to pay the penalty for our sin. Who rose again and is seated at the right hand of the Father. How do you stop believing the truth?
GREAT analogy!
Just a thought from someone who lives from online marketing: what if you include the patron and sponsorship section in your live video? I think it would make a much bigger impact.
Wow. Thank You Daddy for my King Jesus!!! It's all about relationship. The Priority.
This is impactful and very true
This teaching is why I left charismatic chaos denomination and came to the apostles teaching…
Just let the Bible speak...
Matt 8:10-12 - outsider has faith, sons of the kingdom will be cast out
Matthew 10:22 - only those who endure to the end will be saved
Matt 10:28 - fear Him who can destroy body and soul. (Why? If we're already saved?)
Matthew 13:20-21 “falls away” from what? Paul says they fall away from grace (Gal 5:4)
Matthew 21:43 kingdom of God is taken away from those who already have it
Matthew 24:13 - only those who endure to the end will be saved
Matthew 24:45-51 faithful servant falls away and cast into hell
Mark 13:20 Had the Lord not cut short the days, all who were saved would be led astray and/or not able to endure
Luke 8:13 - believes for awhile, but falls away
John 3:16 - Greek - keeps on obeying. Believe is better translated obey
John 3:36 - not believing (or "rejects" in some translations) is more accurately translated disobey. And it's in present tense, which means it's an ongoing action. You must continue in obedience to be saved.
John 5:24 - Greek tense is keeps listening and continuing to trust will continue to have eternal life
John 6:36 - verb tense is present, not aorist. He who “keeps on coming” will not be cast out
John 8:51 - why doesn't Jesus say "faith" instead of obedience?
John 10:27-29 - Greek tense means to keep on hearing, keep on knowing them, keep on following
John 15:6 “cuts off” same as Romans 11:17ff where branches are broken off or Heb 6:7-8 where thorny land is cursed/burned
John 15:6 says those who were once connected to Christ are now dead branches and are cast away to be burned.
Romans 2 - whole chapter deals with being judged according to our works (esp. v. 1-14)
Romans 8:12-17 “if” “fall back” “provided we” (all conditional terms)
Romans 11:17-23 olive branches cut off and/or grafted in - former believer can be grafted in again if repents again
Romans 13:11 - salvation is not yet come
1 Cor 8:11 - weaker brother can perish - perish is the same root word as John 3:16
1 Cor 9:27 - Paul can be disqualified
1 Cor 10:1-13 (v. 4 says they had Christ, v. 12 says they can fall)
1 Cor 11:32 - Christians disciplined by God so they won't be condemned with the world
1 Corinthians 15:1-2 “if” - “believed in vain” means was once a believer, but didn't hold to the teaching after initially believing.
Gal 5:4 - severed from Christ, fallen from grace - Paul speaking to brothers (Gal 4:28, 31) who turn to law for justification, and turn away from grace
Galatians 5:19-21: Why does Paul tell Galatian Christians that works of the flesh, if they are repeatedly practiced, will prevent them from entering the Kingdom of God?
Ephesians 5:3-7: Why does Paul warn Ephesian Christians that immoral, impure, and greedy people have no inheritance in the kingdom of God or of Christ? Why does he warn them of this right after telling them not to be immoral, impure, and greedy themselves?
Phil 1:6 - began - complete: it's a process, and people leave the process quite often
Col 1:22-23 “if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel”
1 Thess 3:5-8 Paul says his labor would have been in vain if the Tempter had led them astray. Commends them for standing fast. Helmet is the hope of salvation to come, not a completed salvation.
2 Thess 2:3 - will be a falling away (apostasy in NASB)
1 Timothy 3:13 - Assurance doesn't come from acknowledgement, but from serving (good works done in faith)!
1 Timothy 4:1 Spirit says they will be those who abandon the faith. They must have faith already in order to abandon it.
1 Tim 5:11-15 Believing young widows can let their worldly desires draw them away from Christ and abandon their former faith
1 Tim 5:15 Some young widows have already strayed after Satan “abandoned their former faith” Previous verse says they are drawn away from Christ. v.15 says they strayed after Satan. Strayed from what? Must have faith already to stray in his direction.
1 Tim 6:20-21 - guard the deposit (of the Holy Spirit), some did not and wandered from the faith
2 Timothy 2:11-13 disown Him - law of the day was to disown disobedient sons. See Irenaeus, Book IV
2 Tim 4:7-8 “kept the faith” see also Rev 2:10-11
2 Tim 4:10
Hebrews 2:1-3 - can drift away, if neglect salvation, you will not escape. God doesn't send people to hell; they choose to go
Hebrews 3:1-19 - holy brothers if they hold fast (v.6) and don't change from a believing heart to an unbelieving heart (v.12) “if' in verses 6 and 14. 18-19 - Unbelief and disobedience are tied together as are belief and obedience in other passages.
Hebrews 4:6 and 11 - those who received the gospel failed to enter His rest because of disobedience.
Hebrews 5:9 - Jesus saves those who obey Him
Hebrews 6:4-12 - is said to be controversial.
Hebrews 10 - see paragraph below for explanation
Hebrews 10:14 - Christ perfects those who are being sanctified (implying that if you no longer are being sanctified, no dice)
Hebrews 10:26-29 if we (Paul is speaking to believers - "sanctified" in v. 29 is also a believer) keep on sinning, no sacrifice for sins if believer continues in known sin, also clearly stated in another way in 38-39 - ‘righteous one’ is destroyed for shrinking back (see “shrinking” in 1 John 2:28)
James 5: 19-20 brethren “wanders away” friend saves him from death
1 Peter 4:18 - why is it hard for righteous "to be" saved? Answer? We must endure. It is difficult.
1 Peter 5:8-9 - Devil seeks Christians to devour and they must resist him.
2 Peter 1:9-11 - Must live a godly life to confirm calling, and gain entrance to kingdom. Speaking to believers in v 9
2 Peter 2 - False prophets who were believers, still living among believers, and leading other believers astray.
2 Peter 3:17 - carried away by sin and fall from your secure position or lose your stability
1 John 2:24-25 “if”
1 John 2:28 - shrinking in shame at His appearing (compare with shrinking back in Heb 10:38-39)
2 John 1 v.8-9 (clearly speaking to believers)
Jude 5 - saved, but then destroyed those who did not believe
Jude 12 “twice dead?” only born again can die twice
Rev 2:10-11 be faithful 910752
Rev 3:3 Christ comes against those who do not keep His word
Rev 3:5, 3:11-12, 3:21 - the one who conquers (overcomes)
Rev 22:19 - God will take away their share in the tree of life
I walked away in 2019, fell into sin, alcoholism, I came back to Christ in January of this year and now I’m more on fire for Christ than I ever was before. Am I saved? Or did my fall in 2019 nullify where I’m currently at? 🥺
No way you because you repented. It’s as simple as that.
@@Brandonprays316false. You can only repent ONCE to Salvation. Hebrews is CRYSTAL CLEAR on THAT.
@ you don’t stay closer then being IN CHRIST BY FAITH. It’s not my action but being placed INTO CHRIST that keeps us saved.
AMEN yes I love the health holy fear of my lord!!
Thanks for sharing God's truth!! God bless you!!!
Once saved always saved.
Sister my heart goes out to you ! 😭 Much love
Those who re-dedicate their life to the Lord is like the prodigal son leaving and coming home.
So what does it mean to “work out your salvation with fear and trembling” ? Phil 2:13
Only to redirected my life to serving The lord and he Restoring me
Just dont give up his LOVE is un comprehendable . WE HALF to be obedient and not take his Grace for granite
Thanks.
Why would the question need to be asked if it was something seriously worth considering?
A sweet aroma.
Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that
Almost my entire life I thought no one could ever lose salvation no matter what, about three or four years ago I had an insight which I won’t bother sharing right now, and I realized that though hard it may be, but it is actually possible and not because God desires it to be possible But it is possible to spiritually divorce from God and leave him, he’s never the one leaving us, but I do believe some who have been born of the spirit chose the separate from him.
The East to the West statement ... Awesome... Biblical too.. west east always mentioned
Dead twice jezz.. I forgot about that one
Hanging me 😅 uhmmmmm
Seeking more after God doesn’t save you. It’s faith in his free gift of ETERNAL LIFE.
Also…Calvin never invented “once saved always saved”
That’s the ridiculous caricature of what he did teach.
He taught Perseverance of the Saints which taught that those who are truly saved will or can never walk away from God.
Absolutely
I have seen personally majority of Christians believe they can still enter Heaven while living in sin. Scripture says a Believer's name can be blotted out of the Book of Life. Ezekiel 3:19-21 ,speaks about WARNING Unbelievers and Believers who continue walking in iniquity and they will die in their sin and the righteous acts which the righteous has done will not be remembered. We have to warn bc Jesus says their blood will be on our hands. We are to be watchmen for the Church giving warnings bc if you don't their blood will be on your hands.
Dude you literally sin every day. Making you a hypocrite.
As for those not deceived and who are not pulpit puppets understand this:
Eve was tempted when Satan said, "you will surely not die"
Satan says the same thing to those who are saved, "you will or can lose your salvation."
It's the same lie of temptation to turn away from your faith and cause doubt!
"Who is like the beast, who can make war with him?"
The word of God is a double edged sword!
Thank you John and son, important teaching presented clearly😊
However, it saddens me that we have to walk through 'the shop' first, before entering the gathering of the saints around His Word... can I suggest you position the shopping till after the message?
