- Here is a tutorial of a cool mode on the Pixel 8 called Action Pan!
Personally, I think that Google Pixel 8's Action Pan mode is the perfect way to capture the world in motion!
So let’s see how Pixel 8’s Action Pan mode compares to iPhone 15 Live Photos and Long Exposure Mode while taking photos.

@@PatsonTekThe battery life on Pixel 8 has been largely improved imo. I can reach 6-7 hrs of SOT easily, which is nice considering its compact size. However, when it comes to gaming, the battery certainly drains pretty fast.
I have BOTH, the Pixel 8 pro and iPhone 13 pro max! I love both. I'm not concerned about getting the 14 or 15 iPhones because I don't feel it's worth my time, energy, or money being concerned about them lol.

@@thechesswiki5480If you still didn't buy it, I don't recommend it. I'm using 6a. The signal reception is bad. I get mad sometimes when it just drops signal for both of my mobile networks. That too happens at desperate times for me. If you have wifi, it will work fine. I still like it as a good phone. I like the camera and the os. At least for me, it is not as reliable as my previous phones. Those were cheap Chinese phones. If you can spend more, it is better to go for 7a or 8a, or S23 FE. Hope this helps.

You have to switch to portrait mode on the iphone 15 and then capture the moving object to get the same result

Its not about what phone you have. Its about how you use it. What you guys dont know about the iphone is that you can acheive the same results when you point at the subject/car,train, etc and slide the shutter button to the left and you are shooting multiple shots. From there go to your photo library and from there choose the photo of your like.

I've been a big fan of OnePlus, I had an eye on them since their first phone, I bought the 5 shortly after release and upgraded to a 7T Pro after that, OnePlus never fails to impress with their hardware, it's always top of the line and you felt it when using the phone, the thing that made me switch to my Pixel 8 Pro was one thing tho: Software.
OnePlus seems to forget that they released this phone after 2-3 years, yes you might have support for 4 years but they have such a slow release when you finally get your update Android has already moved to next major version. And even if you get an update you got to be careful and see if it even properly works. The last half year or so my 7TP was running a custom rom (yaap), because OnePlus had abandoned the phone completely and their android 12 build was so broken I'd rather go back to the old days of unlocking the bootloader and putting on a custom rom than to deal with the bad update they put out.
Also I hate that they moved away from clean, close to stock android, makes the phone feel more like a midrange Chinese phone with they "skin" they have on top of their android.
Apple is already a "Dinosaur" in this fast moving development.
You see, there is a mode called "Pro" in the camera app of every smartphone.

While Pixel phones have the better camera the long exposure feature on iPhone is totally different from the action pan on pixel. pixel already has another feature called the long exposure which is for totally different photos

Photography isn’t really too big a deal for me so I go for iphone. They prob hv the 2nd or 3rd best camera on a good flagship phone so it gets the job done. Google phones kind of lack power and have a pretty weak gpu and stuff so I don’t rly like it, I prefer the s24 ultra and overall iphone 15 pm ❤
You can do the same thing and better using the burst mode.option , pixel action pan is just software trickery and it doesn't always work . Iphone let's you do it manually and with enough skill you'll be able to achieve an action pan every shot

With video boost it's on par I would say, but honestly, i hardly record video so I put more value on picture quality in my photos and the Pixel renders some amazing colors in its still pics.. @@razan3304

Did some research on both these phones for a while. Ended up going for Galaxy S24. Turned out to be just the perfect device for me!

You can do that on any phone with pro mode.
Just use long exposure pan along the moving object trying to keep it at the same position in your composition.
It will be messy though compared to the pixel because it applies algorithms to take care of shakes and misalignment

Similar to a comparison with a S23U in 30x or 100x zoom but no exposure compensation used on iPhone so it looks like a white blob.
The camera is good, but the processor Tensor (Samsung) is not. Battery life when using mobile data is poor.

Long exposure is different from action pan, pixels have a dedicated mode for action pan where it does what the iphone did while clicking the pic and not separately. Do a comparison on those two , these are different modes all together
The key to this technique with any camera is to FOLLOW THE SUBJECT during the exposure. Something obviously not done with the iPhone. The Pixel may have a great camera, but dishonest comparisons like this won’t help sell it.
Both photos were taken identically on iPhone and the pixel. I show more examples in the full video comparison with the screen recordings and everything, there’s no dishonest comparisons over here

I own a Google Pixel 8 Pro and i have had a great camera experience with it I love the size of the Google pixel 8. But I prefer the camera on the pro a little better I believe that Samsung is improving with their camera and the iPhone camera is mediocre at best but that's just my opinion😂
