"Choose Me" is always one of the favorite song played by the Maids at their live concerts. It's always a joyful experience when you hear it. Now I'm going to give you another suggestion of a Band-Maid song to listen to. It's not your typical Band-Maid rock banger. The song is "Influencer", the official music video. It really show their musical versatility.
If you like a taste of the jam in your rock blues try reacting to BAND-MAID's WHY WHY WHY (live on-line video). It's fun and MISA's bass is amazing, in my opinion. P.S. Thank you for all your reactions you've done for this wonderful group.
Akane all the time. Killing it here right up front on this one. But all the time in every song doing amazing work on the skins. Always pushing to see how she can change it up from verse to verse. Never stale. Can you imagine playing drums in a group as skilled and innovative as BandMaid? Can you imagine making up one half of a rhythm section with MISA??? It's been decades for me since I've heard a band this meticulous in crafting songs, both intricate and catchy. You both did a beautiful job of reacting today! Thank you!
It was during a COVID shutdown, I was sitting on the couch bored as fck, I put on the movie Kate and when it got to the nightclub scene with B-M playing this song, that was it, all over red rover. Once I reattached my jaw to my head I began googling all things B-M and just became more and more awed and addicted, that was a few years ago now and since not a day has gone past without the Maids in it. What a fcken Po 👍🍻
Thanks for the reaction guys! So many great BAND-MAID songs to choose from: Try: MANNERS from now on Don’t you tell ME DICE SHAMBLES WARNING Secret Mako Lips (this one has a very pleasant surprise) More BAND-MAID please!
I saw someone comment once that they’d leave another rock band’s shows, and they’d want to destroy things and flip over cars, but when they left a Band-Maid show, they felt like they could solve world hunger. They have a particular uplifting energy that’s reinvigorated a lot of jaded people’s love of rock music. It’s fun again.
Band-Maid played "Choose Me" in the Netflix movie "KATE" ! They also played the song "Blooming" during the car chase scene I Please check out the "Blooming" MV it's one of Band-Maids best songs=) Thanks
You guys have seriously not scratch the surface. The catalog is so deep with such great songs if you only did one a month it would take you 10 years. And they have so many great songs that just don't have official music videos
After “Thrill,” this was the second song that I heard from them. I still hadn’t been hooked, but was interested enough in their musicianship and creative songwriting to check out more. I’m an old blues rock musician; it takes a lot for me to be overly excited about anything new. “From Now On” was third and it was game over for me. Sold! May I kindly and respectfully recommend you consider a dedicated Band Maid playlist? They have over 130 songs over the past 11 years and seven studio albums. My playlist has over 60 songs. Most artists run out of gas after 3 or 4 decent songs. Band Maid puts that many hits on every EP. A few top tier songs in your future? “Freedom” LIVE “Blooming” OMV “DICE” OMV “Onset” LIVE “Moratorium” LIVE This doesn’t even scratch the surface
There's a live version of this from the Nov 23 Yokohama Arena show that was edited together from 24 fan cams (recording allowed for one song), this song live was a hoot. It's on the Ohrenje YT channel. It will surprise you.
"Choose Me" -- a song featured in the Netflix original movie "KATE" and the HBO Max series Peacemaker as BAND MAID, has so many great RnR chops, it's kinda unbelievable. From Saiki's old-school phrasing, cadence and a super soulful vocal at the end; MISA's driving bass, her special riff after Kanami's brilliant, rocking main solo (complete with harmonic pinch), and her pulls at the end of the song that really funks it up with Akane's drumming; to Kanami's original composition, off-beat octave stretches during the verses, and her addition of a second uncomplicated yet super tasty solo; to Akane's unique snare & tom flurry that launches the choruses; and to Miku's octave-down, in & out vocal backup and lyrics... all makes "Choose Me" a throwback rocker that surprised me when I first heard it - and I'll bet most anyone - that they would come up with this western-style, rock 'n roll classic. Of course, after years later, it's not surprising at all coming from this important band of geniuses who are, along with The Warning band, almost single-handedly bringing back the joy of rock. Here's a great live MV of "Choose Me" that's not quite as punchy do to the mix, but still good: th-cam.com/video/HcqitbXgigU/w-d-xo.html Thx, Lee Jaay & Stan!
Always enjoy your reactions! I noticed you have quite a lot of reactions to The Warning, The relevance to BAND-MAID, you might be asking?... The Warning are opening for BAND-MAID in Japan in June, and will then play two sold-out shows there as headliners.
Bass and drum are underrated? Misa (bass) is most popular lady and said that she is a top rank bassist. Akane (drums) was asked by Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) to take a photo of the two of them.
Legends indeed! The consistent musical excellence that they have maintained for over a decade now is really impressive. I suggest giving "the non-fiction days" a try. It's probably the best song they have that they didn't write themselves. It used to be their show closer back in the day. It's a real banger. 😁 th-cam.com/video/ItYN-ri1NPs/w-d-xo.html
Anyone who takes the time to actively listen to the drums will be rewarded for their attention. She refuses to play the same thing for more than a few bars. She plays a small kit, and I think it forces her to be more creative than drummers with like 20 cymbals and toms and stuff.
Japanese Interviewer: Since all five girls are cute, each of them has a different character. Those who want to see idols perform can also enjoy (each character individually). MIKU: NO! Not just for one of them, all of them together! Japanese Interviewer: Kuruppo, you are a pretty good tactician. Clever! You thought of it. You really formed the band you wanted, right? MIKU: It's a Miracle! SAIKI: That's right! This was taken from Part 2 of the TV interview - th-cam.com/video/YzWETTu-4iE/w-d-xo.html Part 1 is here - th-cam.com/video/R4PofsQYwn4/w-d-xo.html
Drummers are the bands 'metronome'. The drummer's job is to 'drive the bus' taking the band forward, together. Like a conductor for an orchestra. There has to be one master 'clock' or it'll be a confused mess.

Band maid music is like a cup of coffee to start my day
I'm starting my day with coffee and Band-Maid as I type this.

This is my all time faveourite! Thanks guys!
Never have to much Bandmaid, and Saiki + black dress = 🔥🔥🔥❤
Band Maid has moved to the next level. World domination next for the Maids.
Definitely Blooming next. My #1 Band-Maid song.

YES, Saiki's outfits do something to me, too! 😍
เพลงโคตรดี
Akane is literally one of the best drummers around and yet often she gets overlooked because of Kanami and Misa. That Trifecta is 🔥though
Anyone who takes the time to actively listen to the drums will be rewarded for their attention. She refuses to play the same thing for more than a few bars. She plays a small kit, and I think it forces her to be more creative than drummers with like 20 cymbals and toms and stuff.
Please do some early BAND-MAID
Yeah yeah! “The non-fiction days!”
Song ปล่อย Silly Fools 🔥🔥🤟👊

Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" aka: MISA MISA MISA - Bass
