Yeah, I pretty much agree. But I’m sure that one day they’re gonna wake up some monster in an old house; vampire perhaps, and they’re gonna get killed to bits
Agreed they been to a lot of places that I can only dream of seeing in real life. They might have something attache itself to them in the future. Should have holy water with them to keep them safe.
I love the way you two take time to show us all you see, when you find these antiques in a situation that is going to let them fall and get broken, can you move them please,so they don't fall ,or get knocked off by falling wallpaper, or fireplaces collapsing. It breaks my heart seeing so much of our past rotting away, gone forever.
Sam and Jess you guys are the best urban explorers, you travel around the world to bring us extraordinary castles, homes, chateaus it’s so amazing, love your cinematography and music and Sam you have the perfect narrative voice. Thank you both for bringing us along with you and showing the beauty in which we would never see 🫶🏼❤️🔥🤘🏼
Looked lovely from outside fairy tale inside would have been amazing in its day the rooms have some lovely shaped windows and and the decor would have looked splendid thank you guys lovely episode
Cinderella castle. It’s beautiful. All those ancient log burners scattered everywhere. I do hope some one can restore it one day soon before it’s too late. Once the foundations are threatened it’s over! Wonderful explore. You two have become so knowledgable and your language reflects that.
That pattern you see in the fireplace and chairs is: The fleur-de-lis, also spelled fleur-de-lys, is a lily that is used as a decorative design or symbol. The fleur-de-lis has been used in the heraldry of numerous European nations, but is particularly associated with France, notably during its monarchical period.
That was so out standing, brilliant video and so jealous of you all going to Castle ruins my favorite, loved all of this so thank you Sam n jess for sharing it, stay well 🙏👏👏👏❤️🇬🇧
Les petites fleurs sur le contour de la cheminée et sur les chaises, représentent le lys de la famille Royal de France. Je suis française et cela me brise le coeur de voir tout notre patrimoine disparaître . Merci de nous partagez tous ça
The first stove is an old cook stove in the chateau and the second one is a heating stove. The cook stove is a very nice one especially for it's day of time. I'm wishing I could have one in today's time!! Some of the best meals I've ever had came from an old cook stove. My great aunt knew exactly how much wood each compartment needed to cook what she was cooking on and how much to use for the oven. Sweet memories of days gone by.
I've said it before, but it's criminal that the French government does not change centuries old inheritance laws that cause their own cultural heritage to fall into this state. Thanks Jess and Sam for showing us what's left of a bygone era.
DEAREST SAMANDJESSEXPLORE , HELLO . THESE ONCE ALIVE AND WEALTHY PEOPLE HAVE LIVED IN LUXURY OF MATERIAL GOODS , UNFORTUNATELY , MANY OF THEIR " MODERN DAY DESCENDANTS , " COULDN'T AFFORD THE MAINTENANCE OF THESE HOMES , SO THEY SIMPLY JUST ABANDONED THEM , AND LEFT TO DECAY . POSSIBLY THEY WERE TOO POOR TO AFFORD LIVING THERE . POSSIBLY SOME HAVE NO FURTHER RELATIVES , SOME WERE TOO GREEDY AND SELFISH TO GIVE TO THEIR DESCENDANTS , AND SOME WERE SIMPLY CLUELESS OF WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THESE MATERIAL GOODS , SOME COULD CARE LESS ABOUT ALL THESE RICHES .
@@hollynauss6359 Since Napoleonic times, all children inherit property equally. No legal wrangling can override this. ALL must agree to sell a property. If only one child says no, the property cannot be sold, and often the children cannot afford to pay the taxes, let alone maintain the house.
Thank you Sam & Jess y'all are so cute and sweet I literally hold my breath watching these!! I was a bit late today. Y'all be safe 🙏🏻🥰💯 P.S. Thank you Jess for not saying that bad word 😁
It saddens me that you do not spend a little more time filming the wonderful furniture and antique cabinets. The Armoire with mirrors. You simply pass them by and I would really enjoying looking closer at them...
Beautiful. The basement was so strange. It looked ancient. The whole house was different than others. An we got a cool bonus of the castle on the mountain. Thanks
Love this place! Thanks for the explore. This could almost be redone inside and live on. The innards are going to crumble long before the outside walls, I think. Beautiful chateau and location. Stay cool! 🌸
Such a spectacular castle! So much could have been done if it.was caught in time and before it got.to.this.point. If it were me exoring this castle I may well have gotten lost! You both are so.experienved at this now and can seem to not have NY problems with this . THANK YOU FOR Sharing this exploration with us.
Wow, tat is indeed a beautiful place. Shame it is deteriorating.. I bet it was extraordinary back in the days. Thanks so much for sharing your explorers with us all. 🥰
It's interesting that you can walk around the whole of the ground floor from the stairs and end up where you started.. The symbol is a fleur de lis. Look it up.
Wow!!!!!! I wish someone would have taken it upon themselves to keep this place in tip top shape. It is so pretty. the doors and the windows are gorgeous. the winding staircase if they could only talk and tell tales of the past. thank you for sharing this. lean on God
I agree, creepy.. my heart was pounding, I felt sick. Not a good feeling about this Chateaux, tell tale signs and symbols everywhere. Everything in me was screaming get out of there..
Hi Sam and Jesse, Truly enjoyed your video from start to end💖👏👏👏 Your delivery of carrying out this video gives time enough to seek everything,(not for taxidermy) And you know back then, didn’t have stores way out that far or should say markets so they fetched and made, and ordered what ever came along to supply and furnish these beautiful older homes.Love the woodwork everywhere, even had the sleeping cabinets for the servants.Thank you both for your beautiful video 🙏💖💝✅
What a beautiful place, especially from the outside, almost magical looking. Inside yes has decayed over the long period of time, but wasn’t so chaotic as some, I could actually imagine people living here. I have to echo the feelings of others in the comments, you are my favourite urban explorers with your own unique, beautiful style. We love you guys. Then your work with Karl on his videos is just awesome, what a great team 💜🧡❤️
I enjoy your videos because you focus on the architecture, floor plans and don’t give too much narrative of stuff laying about ... you lead us from room to room and open all the doors and give us full views of the rooms
Yes. It looks ready to move in.. I would clean up cob webs & sweep & never leave 😉 at 1st glance I thought that was the coolest chest I had ever seen lol stove. Haha! Wall paper & needle work. Increadible! The basement... 👻 Awesome!!! I can imagine what it looked like back when it was a Happening Home ❤ the treasure & secrets inside are Wondrous to me. I hope you all, Dark Arts go back to show its still Happinin!!! Doors windows & ceiling. Beautiful! My Dad is an Auctioneer & Mama has a Anique store so when I see all the treasures... Well it blows my mind. If only they could talk 😃 like I've said before We love how you two love birds go thru and romanticize these Beautiful places then Dark Arts go thru & show they are not as abandoned as they appear.. At 16:53 ish couple Orbs on the right side of Jess ?!? 😉👻👍 I've never seen a safe like that or the vent on the side of the fire place... 1st for me😃 If I lived there I would write books about fairy tales 😉 because I would be in one❤ Thank you for sharing with us 😃❤✌ Happy Safe Travels.... We miss you High Times Expore 👋 😃
Very unusual place, the rooms seemed small considering the size of the building. Can't believe how many doors there were! Despite the age and decay, everything still seemed quite solid except for the wallpaper and some ceiling areas. Thanks for this unique explore!
The symbol you see on everything is the fluer de lis. It’s used in France a lot and is used in heraldry but is not necessarily part of that families’ heraldry. It is still popular in decor.
It's just beautiful, the basement was awfully small, but there was that new brick wall down there hmm.... Jess, that design is a traditional theme in France it's Le fleur de Lis " flower of the valley " it signifies perfection, light and life. The legends vary on how it became a part of France's history. It's just terrible how so many of these places fall to ruin, great video as always. Thank you! Love from NY.
It being none haunted paranormal, I thought I was going to be bored, wrong, I found you guys to be very fun and informative, no wonder Sam has you on Dark Arts so much, he has good people on but you guys always draw me because your always honest and straight about. In the US my paranormal favs talk of what they see and hear their cameras and devices don't, and it often irritates the investigators.
Really cool. Understand that despite your feeling about the taxidermy. It's scientific curiosity regales wether s sport or scientist collected. For we are no better than the animals that kill as well. You are curious explorers and have scientific curiosity too Bravo cool tour. Wow brought out the philosophy....the decay is fantastic!!.🐟
The toilet set in the wooden platform (right at the start) was probably one of the earliest toilet models. It isn't based on the siphon but a metal cup. Next time you see one maybe you should take a peek at the bottom of the bowl? I don't think that was a modern fixture and could be over 100 years old.
Jess, You mention that there are what are called Fleur Di Lis in the fireplaces and on the chairs, etc. It is a French symbol that means Lily Flower. It also represents The Virgin Mary in religion. That is what I have heard through the years anyway. I love your videos guys, truly well done!
The symbol is a Fleur de Lis, a Lily or Flower. Used a lot as a repetitive pattern or singly. 'Traditionally, it has been used to represent French royalty, and in that sense it is said to signify perfection, light, and life.' Wasn't one of the French Kings known as the Sun King?
Please, can someone tell me the name and composer of the musical piece that is playing at the very beginning of this video? I know I've heard it before but can't quite place it. It is so beautiful and haunting!
Even though I'm in a wheelchair you allows me to visit astonishing places revert day! Thank you so much!
SamandJess are the best couple in there field. There work is awesome 👌 👏 👍 😍 💖 😎

I thought the fleur-de-lys was part of the House of Bourbon's coat of arms.
Hi thank you it's beautiful 😍 💗 ✨ 💓 💛 💕 xxxxx

Thank you Sam & Jess y'all are so cute and sweet I literally hold my breath watching these!! I was a bit late today. Y'all be safe 🙏🏻🥰💯 P.S. Thank you Jess for not saying that bad word 😁
Sam you should go into narration. Your voice sounds so cool when u narrate these homes.
It saddens me that you do not spend a little more time filming the wonderful furniture and antique cabinets. The Armoire with mirrors. You simply pass them by and I would really enjoying looking closer at them...
