My issue with videos like this is that they often cast very negative aspersions on medical practitioners in other countries. It also gives the misguided impression that complications or even deaths do not happen in the US in the hands of Board Certified surgeons. It is for a patient to do their research. Every country has its own medical boards with whom medical practitioners can be verified. The reasons people travel for plastic surgery go way past cost. In my case it had to do with the desired outcome. The reality is places like DR and Colombia have carved out niches in creating a particular aesthetic that US doctors quite frankly do not deliver. So while I appreciate the timely call for people to be careful, to conduct proper research and to weigh all pros and cons of any cosmetic procedure, I would also love to see more respect for international medical practitioners. They aren't all quacks hustling for a dollar.

You have a strong point that there are some amazing doctors worldwide. Even Dr. Jones did some studying in Brazil, the Mecca of BBLs! We weren't throwing any hate or defamation to foreign doctors at all. Even if another country has its own board certification program, there still exists (like in America) plastic or cosmetic surgeons who have not gotten certified.

Completely true! The outcome is aesthetically pleasing in the D.R and Columbia. There are a lot of U.S Doctors who should be learning the techniques from foreign surgeons. The work in the u.s specifically for BBL’s and liposuction seems rushed and undone a lot.

Do your research ladies. Bad happens even in the best hands.

The truth of the matter is that quite often many of the home country surgeons are reluctant to even look at you should there be a complication. 😩

Thinking of getting some work done at Pitanguy Clinic in Brazil. Might you have any opinion about that facility? Plan a bit of an extended stay akin to a long needed vacation.

@@niptuckplasticsurgery my research says Pitanguy Clinic is one of the top in world, founded by Dr Ivo Pitanguy, Father of Plastic Surgery who pioneered many procedures and instruments used throughout the world. In other comments did you not mention you went to Brasil to study? Ivo started the Pitanguy plastic surgery residency in 1960. I am surprised you don't have any opinion on it.

He has poor grammar. Also, in the captions it kept coming up as “your “ when it should have been YOU’RE. Sorry-just a pet peeve of mine.
