Quick team building guide for tiering: -have your team prepared in advance. Try to mr1 the 4* but mr5 the 3* -use a unit scorer (limited VS cards with unit tag with special score up) OR colorfes exclusive cards as leaders (if they give a base of 50%) -upgrade your decorations in the unit/character/ attribute, it makes a noticeable difference in team talent -touch grass
@funplayer05.1 depending on what rank your going for, unless its t100, it wouldn't make much of a difference. Afteral, unit scorers just give higher score bonus, which would give more event points
personally i choose team leaders based on trust ranks. 4 example rn im using shizuku as my leader because she has a trust rank with tsukasa, airi and mafuyu, which means i get more trust ranks and every time i level one up i get more prizes ‼️‼️‼️
Gotta see that Tiering guide, I got T80 in Light up that fire, but I had no idea what I was doing. Just played an unhealthy amount and made a team with the highest event bonus possible.
That’s honestly insane, what’s your total playtime? 😂😂 I’ll be trying t100 on Stellar Song (Ichika) for which I’ve been preparing for months with focus for that event specific (leveling only cool plants, L/N unit decor, L/N character decor etc.)
alrighttt ill try to provide general tips: 1. the most comprehensive tiering guide is ai0's "how to tier" you can find it in the r8ss tiering-filling-guides channel !! (ill reiterate some of their points but most of my tips are different im pretty sure) 2. plan and predict how many event points ull need. you can do this by looking at events with similar rosters/popularity of characters/event type. for example, if you plan to tier on hectic cafe rec (cheerful carnival airi focus), you can look at retie friendship (another airi focus not that long ago) and pandemonium (most recent cheerful carnival) and make an educated guess on how many event points you need p.s. if the event ure planning for is decently far from that character's last event focus, you may want to add extra 1-5 mil event points (depends on what tier ur going for, im using t100 as the base) in ur estimate because event point inflation is very real and very scary. for example, kanade's 4th focus event is in december and her 3rd focus event was in march so you might want to tack on an extra 2-4 mil points (heck, maybe even more since its n25) on your goal to account for a growing player base and more competition 3. calculate how much time and resources ull need. the easiest way to do this is through sekai.best's calculator but if you want more flexibility or if you hate yourself, you can always do the math yourself like i did. you only need basic multiplication and percentage skills as well as knowing your percentage = rate*base. this gives you an idea of how may hours you need to pour into this as well as how many crystals/energy drinks you need to save (or money u have to spend if u like whaling) 4. prepare your team and be ready for the most disgusting gacha results (if ur pulling). like the comment above, level up plant type decorations and character decorations (group decorations too if ur tiering for a unit focus). if the event ur tiering for is after 3rd anni, you can rateup any 4* in the dream pick colorfes 3rd anni gacha. you can do this for the event characters who are not in the event gacha and you do not have any 3*/4*s of. example: if ur tiering for shizuku4, you can rateup meiko from airi3 or minori and/or len from step by step. also, since ure not guaranteed to get all the gacha cards, always remember to take that into consideration when doing your calculations by doing multiple scenarios where you get 0, 1, 2, or all event cards just in case 😉 5. make a schedule if ur tiering for high ranks. since u already know how much time you need, just divide that time up between the days of the event depending on the schedule of the other things in your life. generally, ull play more during the weekends and less during weekdays for obvious reasons. 6. join a tiering server. tiering solo is a nightmare if ure doing a cc (cheerful carnival) because of the disbands. even for marathons, the ppl ure playing with might be super sick of hitorinbo envy or lost and found and disband. plus, you can always ask ppl on servers for tips, get actual fillers to join you, make friends, and ur guaranteed to play the exact same song! over and over and over again for multiple hours.... 7. should you play hitorinbo envy (ebi) or lost and found (lnf)? depends. generally, id say that t300 and above you should do ebi and t400 and below you can do lnf. if its a n25, akito, toya, rui, or tsukasa focus though, t500 might require you to do ebi. it is VERY dependent on ur situation though. if ure very stingy on your crystals, id say lnf on hard is better since it is the most energy efficient song to do as it gives the most event points. ebi on expert is the most time efficient song since its the shortest one but also the least energy efficient one. for higher tiers, its more about ur event points per hour so ebi is generally better. its also better if u have a very packed schedule and dont have as much time to play pjsk. basically, lnf is better for ur crystal count, ebi is better for ur time. if ur out of both crystals and time, good fuckin luck. anyways that was a LOT sorry. i hope this helps somehow tho lol
As an addendum, in the japanese server unitless VS cards grant 25% instead of 15%. This change will come to the english server next year, around late June.

I dont hage enough resources to mastery 5 all my 3☆ 😭 and mastery 5 2☆ give more bonus (even if its only 1%) (also a good way to unlock second side stories by maxxing the levels during an event) But i gotta change that up now thanks for the guide 👍👍
Good luck to both of you! I’m full skipping the event as I will be attempting t100 on Our Constellation of Song (Stellar song en translation istg what went wrong)
Thanks so much for this video! It's my first time building an event team, and I have a 200% bonus team thanks to you! I also put my healer as the leader since it's a cheerful carnival. 👌
This is a really great and detailed guide! What I do with my team building is this: if it's an event I'm tiering on, I will do anything to get a high event bonus team. If it's a normal N25 event. I try my best, but don't really push it. If it's anything else... yeah, stick with whatever the game picks for me (unless I need a specific card for any reason) and just farm XD. I do this mainly because I don't have that many resources (considering I've played for almost a year by now), and heavy N25 favoritism.
This is so useful!! I vaguely understood how to build teams already, but this really clarifies things for me! I love that you do present it with clear structure, it makes it way easier to follow Also I look forward to the future tiering guide!

Off topic question, but will you being doing the monthly review of events/reruns? I alway look forward to those once so I have an idea of what's to come and I can prepare early :D And as always ty for the very helpful guides! This was super helpful thank you so much! I have three questions, though: 1. Should I be using 5 bonus energy or 10? 2. Is skilling up my cards worth it? 3. How do I know who my sub leader should be or is that not important?
1: Optimal is 2 Most people use 3 for efficiency as you only lose a minor amount of And 5 is if you're short on time 10 should basically only be used in emergencies where you won't be able to play within the next 5 hours 100% garantueed 2: Definetly! Use wish pieces for 1* and 2* cards, save up silver and gold scores for your 3* cards. Once you have levelled up all of those skills, you can start aiming for skill level 1 on 4*. Skill levels give you more talent, a bunch of character rank points, and better skills in live rooms ❤️ 3: If possible, you should always aim to level up a Kizuna Rank/Trust rank. If that's your favourite pair of characters or trying to get rewards from all ranks, first is up to you 😀
This video was a lot of help cuz recently I have started to play pjsk more constantly and still new to all the stuff in the game. Also if anyone knows what are the must buy stuff from event exchange cuz I don’t know much about that ei I just buy the cards, gems, bonus energy and the wish pieces after that I’m not sure what to prioritise getting
My Arc Ender video does talk in depth about what you should buy from the Arc Ender event shops and a lot of that translates to the normal Exchange shops so you can watch that video if you want help!!!
id love to see your tiering guide! there are a lot of details im sure that casual players like me are missing out on. i'm following most of this advice already, but there were still a few things i had no idea about like the difference in who the leader is. also, ive always played the game solo, that might be the reason why ive struggled to tier before. thanks for the advice!
Genuinely such a helpful video, I had no clue about some of the things you mentioned until I watched this!! Thank you ^^ Alsoalso!! I was trying to think of things for your community post but I’m so out of ideas! A profile tour video would be good, but like maybe talking about your experience with the game and maybe some of your favorite events could work as well??? Idk it’s hard to come up with ideas for a special video (ᵕ-ᴗ-)
A great guide! I just got into pjsk within the last couple months and i got hooked fast. Thing is cos ive only been doing it for a relatively short amount of time i noticed for my recent and future events (ive been checking the wiki) i mostly only have 2 star cards with maybe one 3 or 4 star card with the attribute leading to teams of 4 2 stars and one actual good card. I am wondering if its worth keeping it like that or swapping some of the 2 stars for same character with wrong attribute or right attribute but wrong member? Thank you so much Ive been watching your last couple before you pull vids and i'll likely keep watching as long as this hyperfixation lasts!
Great question! Using the conversion I did during the video you can calculate if the 3*/4* would be more powerful than the 2*! So do some counting (or if you are impatient like me) Try it out! Do one or two songs with the team of 2*, see what tokens you get, and then try the team with 3*. If there is a big difference you can pick the best team, if there is barley any difference you can pick the strongest team in my opinion! Keep playing! Good cards will come your way and the longer you play the easier the game gets (at least event grinding wise lol the rythm game I cannot help you with haha)
@@MoreMoreSekai I dont fully understand a lot of the math outside of higher talent is best and i currently do not have any 5 master 3 or 4 stars. thankfully for this event the decision was easy as i actually missing Mafuyu and i need her for the event missions. I tested it too and i think it was better/ similar. could be wrong though but may likely make up for it when all the cards are leveled up. Thankyou for taking the time to respond! im sure i'll eventually get enough cards (although not rn as i have recently decided to start saving for future events) as ive been really enjoying the game and really like that i can plan ahead for events!
There are many “normal” teams for playing and idk which one u want to know so ill just list em down rn • heal team - this team is only useful for solo, because during multiplayer only your leader’s skill wil activate. For a heal team, you would want to use cards with the skill “350+ life and 80% score”at skill lvl 1. or the best option aka birthday cards which skill gives “700+ life and 80% score” at skill lvl 1 • AP team - again, only useful for solo - use cards with the skill “all GREATS or worse will turn into PERFECTS for 5s and 80% score bst” at skill lvl 1 • Strongest team - good if u want superstar ig idk - click the “recommended” button and click auto, then it will set to ur team with the highest amt of talent you can get
I might be very late on this vid and want to ask somethng about it because I think Im missing something out on the video. What are the diff between the yellow stars and those colorful stars, and what is the 1 ribbon rarity. What are their requirements and how to obtain them? Also what are mastery ranks and how to obtain em?
Yellow star: Untrained Rainbow stars: Trained Trained is when you unlock the final levels for 3 and 4 stars. So 40 to 50 for 3* and 50 to 60 for four stars. You unlock this with Miricale gems in the training menu Ribbon is Birthday/Anniversary cards. You get these from the birthday and anniversary gachas for the character who runs during their birthday week. Mastery ranks can be trained from the training menu that can be found from the main menu under the option "characters." Mastery rank should be the third option on the left. To upgrade these you need Wish pieces, a hard to gather resource
Permanent/Marathon events are events with normal gameplay (you pick songs in coop lives) Cheerful Carnivals are the events where you have to pick a team But more easily, cheerful Carnivals (limited events) start on the final day of the month and run to around the 8th - 10th. Permanent event are the other two events
wait i didnt know that healer is actually better in front for cheerful carnival, i just slap the strongest event bonus card i have for every event lol, but is it still better even though my healer is 3* and other cards are 4*?
I mean, it depends If you play safe and play songs, you know you can often make only minor mistakes on you don't need a healer at all Especially considering this event has 2/3 focus cards being healers, which means a lot of people will heal you in cheerful carnival rooms But if you are playing songs you often go to 0 on you should at least consider it
From the main menu/over World Press, the "Characters" tab Then you press the "training" option On your left side should now be 4 different tabs Mastery should be the third one From here, you can increase the mastery rank by picking whichever character you wanna upgrade
Late on this but I have a question, How do you choose which 3* cards to rank up first to m5? I have 5k+ of wish pieces and since I have a lot of cards, it’s overwhelming to pick which ones to rank up. Currently, on EN is an Akito focus event. I have one Toya 3* and the rest are 4*, should I rank this card first? - Or should I instead rank up four 3* for the next event which is Leo/need as that team build isn’t the best.
At this point I have every 3* at M5, but in the beginning I did the characters I liked the most, to make them stronger through character ranks Of course looking if they are useful for an upcoming event is super valuable if you don't really care for which card you rank up when it comes to characters, but I think you should pick the characters you like the best first so the game is enjoyable (this can also be minmaxing as some people find that fun ❤)
Because the scorer skill grants more points (as name implies) and only the first characters core skill is calculated for Co-op rooms but all characters pitch in to create the full range of your Co-op skill. It's hard to explain without pulling out a lot of math and numbers
pretty sure it’s coming in late August on EN first two were SEKAI Happy New Year! (mostly VS focsued) and 2nd Year Cherry blossom event (I forgot the name)
@@Aname-l- yeah okay I was wondering if she was counting the first new year event even though it was mixed, I know about the one coming up on en, I'm actually gonna be tiering on it lmao
Well, if you have enough "Wish Jewels" to unlock EVERY Hair style that is.....each 4* card requires Mastery 2 to unlock one specific hairstyle. (I won't suggest 2000 wish pieces, since they are more useful in 3* mastery rank, and/or raising skill levels for 1-2*'s) Also, one character could only get ONE hairstyle, so it really depends how the hairstyle match with your other costumes anyways....
Like Limited said, it kinda heavily depends on if you can afford it and want the hairstyles go for it! Those 4* will be super strong in future events when you need them. But I would suggest not getting Hairstyles you don't like. After all the wish pieces can be saved for Permanent 4*, future lims, or 3* cards
Quick team building guide for tiering:
-have your team prepared in advance. Try to mr1 the 4* but mr5 the 3*
-use a unit scorer (limited VS cards with unit tag with special score up) OR colorfes exclusive cards as leaders (if they give a base of 50%)
-upgrade your decorations in the unit/character/ attribute, it makes a noticeable difference in team talent
-touch grass
Good guide but the last point might be hard 😔
Perfectly summarised
The last point is unclear, though, and I grew stuck to my computer chair
I do not have a unit scorer after 10 months and tiering for lb in just under 3 weeks, am I cooked? 😂😂
@funplayer05.1 depending on what rank your going for, unless its t100, it wouldn't make much of a difference. Afteral, unit scorers just give higher score bonus, which would give more event points

2: Definetly! Use wish pieces for 1* and 2* cards, save up silver and gold scores for your 3* cards. Once you have levelled up all of those skills, you can start aiming for skill level 1 on 4*. Skill levels give you more talent, a bunch of character rank points, and better skills in live rooms ❤️
3: If possible, you should always aim to level up a Kizuna Rank/Trust rank. If that's your favourite pair of characters or trying to get rewards from all ranks, first is up to you 😀
thanks 👍
9.0K wow close too 1,000 subscribers u can do it !
@@MoreMoreSekai OH oki thanky!
id love to see your tiering guide! there are a lot of details im sure that casual players like me are missing out on.
i'm following most of this advice already, but there were still a few things i had no idea about like the difference in who the leader is. also, ive always played the game solo, that might be the reason why ive struggled to tier before.
thanks for the advice!
we got pjsk meta before gta 6
Genuinely such a helpful video, I had no clue about some of the things you mentioned until I watched this!! Thank you ^^
Alsoalso!! I was trying to think of things for your community post but I’m so out of ideas! A profile tour video would be good, but like maybe talking about your experience with the game and maybe some of your favorite events could work as well??? Idk it’s hard to come up with ideas for a special video (ᵕ-ᴗ-)
I have seen a lot of people wanting to see an account tour, so i am def looking into how I would structure one as soon as possible!
Omg TY
PLEASE DO NORMAL TEAM BUILDING ABOUT HOW THE "HEALERS?" WORK AND HOW TO MAKE A GOOD TEAM JUST FOR NORMAL PLAYING
There are many “normal” teams for playing and idk which one u want to know so ill just list em down rn
• heal team
- this team is only useful for solo, because during multiplayer only your leader’s skill wil activate. For a heal team, you would want to use cards with the skill “350+ life and 80% score”at skill lvl 1. or the best option aka birthday cards which skill gives “700+ life and 80% score” at skill lvl 1
• AP team
- again, only useful for solo
- use cards with the skill “all GREATS or worse will turn into PERFECTS for 5s and 80% score bst” at skill lvl 1
• Strongest team
- good if u want superstar ig idk
- click the “recommended” button and click auto, then it will set to ur team with the highest amt of talent you can get
The way i grind forevent is put my daily bonus energy in a auto play anddo other stuff because im too lazy to actually grind
i have NO materials at all, for leveling cards nor for leveling decorations and everything. and i dunno what do i do to fix this...
Play the game is the best way to get materials, just keep on playing!
I might be very late on this vid and want to ask somethng about it because I think Im missing something out on the video. What are the diff between the yellow stars and those colorful stars, and what is the 1 ribbon rarity. What are their requirements and how to obtain them? Also what are mastery ranks and how to obtain em?
Yellow star: Untrained
Rainbow stars: Trained
Trained is when you unlock the final levels for 3 and 4 stars. So 40 to 50 for 3* and 50 to 60 for four stars. You unlock this with Miricale gems in the training menu
Ribbon is Birthday/Anniversary cards.
This could be the most stupid question ever, but, How do I know if an event is Permanent or Cheerful?
Permanent/Marathon events are events with normal gameplay (you pick songs in coop lives)
Cheerful Carnivals are the events where you have to pick a team
But more easily, cheerful Carnivals (limited events) start on the final day of the month and run to around the 8th - 10th. Permanent event are the other two events
"Will there be any banner of 3000 paid crystals in July?"
Because of the current situation, I can not say for certain, but we think it will be a happiness package
wait i didnt know that healer is actually better in front for cheerful carnival, i just slap the strongest event bonus card i have for every event lol, but is it still better even though my healer is 3* and other cards are 4*?
I mean, it depends
If you play safe and play songs, you know you can often make only minor mistakes on you don't need a healer at all
Especially considering this event has 2/3 focus cards being healers, which means a lot of people will heal you in cheerful carnival rooms
But if you are playing songs you often go to 0 on you should at least consider it
@@MoreMoreSekaialrr thanks for answering
How to upgrade your mastery rank where to find it that’s the only problem I can’t find :(
From the main menu/over World Press, the "Characters" tab
Then you press the "training" option
On your left side should now be 4 different tabs
Mastery should be the third one
From here, you can increase the mastery rank by picking whichever character you wanna upgrade

At this point I have every 3* at M5, but in the beginning I did the characters I liked the most, to make them stronger through character ranks
Of course looking if they are useful for an upcoming event is super valuable if you don't really care for which card you rank up when it comes to characters, but I think you should pick the characters you like the best first so the game is enjoyable (this can also be minmaxing as some people find that fun ❤)
THANKS!!! this was very much needed (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
4:25 btw this doesnt applies to jp, they're equal to the unit vs now
Yeah, but since this is a global guide I didn't wanna make it too confusing
Why does putting a score up card as leader give you more points?
Because the scorer skill grants more points (as name implies) and only the first characters core skill is calculated for Co-op rooms but all characters pitch in to create the full range of your Co-op skill. It's hard to explain without pulling out a lot of math and numbers
Wait when was there a third VS focus event?
pretty sure it’s coming in late August on EN
first two were SEKAI Happy New Year! (mostly VS focsued) and 2nd Year Cherry blossom event (I forgot the name)
@@Aname-l- yeah okay I was wondering if she was counting the first new year event even though it was mixed, I know about the one coming up on en, I'm actually gonna be tiering on it lmao
@@ArteArt39 the video on it is gonna be so short 🫠
good luck tiering!
@@Aname-l- there'll be like 5 minutes of complaining, as there should. 4 cards with 50% bonus is ridiculous 🤣and all 4-stars too
@@miyakofuyamacant believe im gonna have to use a one star since i have dont have enough vs cards that match the attribute for the event 😬😬
2:37 11:15 Junko is that you?

Sorry for out of topic, but.., should i unlock every hairstyle character?
Well, if you have enough "Wish Jewels" to unlock EVERY Hair style that is.....each 4* card requires Mastery 2 to unlock one specific hairstyle. (I won't suggest 2000 wish pieces, since they are more useful in 3* mastery rank, and/or raising skill levels for 1-2*'s)
Also, one character could only get ONE hairstyle, so it really depends how the hairstyle match with your other costumes anyways....
Is it fine if I just let the game make my team by pressing the recommended button?
I mean, if you want to, but the game doesn't consider talent and such as much.
I just need more coins they are so hard to get tf
Yeah coins are just an endless grind
So happy to see my favourite project sekai guide channel growing 🥹♥️♥️
