A few years back I met a guy that built a 3.0 d4d 1kd motor into his cruizer that thing ran like crazy , he still said he couldn't understand why they would fit the v8 when the 3.0d4d did such a great job Congratulations on your cruizer looks nice
Very nice review. I love the fact that you did not through the kitchen sink at it with mods and they way you explain why you fitted it. Great point on the bull bar. I agree with you. Well done.
We welcome the 2.8 but I'll never miss out of that V8 sound when you're almost knee deep in much but the V8 pushes through. Secondly, that engine is the most wanted.
Thanks for the review, my million rand question is, hows the real life fuel economy going? Ive got a old Landcruiser 4500EFI and am thinking of upgrading to this new model due to claimed fuel economy saving. Great video thanks for sharing.
Oh, absolutely, because we all know a 4-cylinder engine is the crown jewel of automotive engineering, right? More a triumph of marketing genius than a feat of engineering. And then there’s the V8-such a shame, really. It's so underutilized, you'd think it was hibernating. Just toss in a modest $1,500 to $2,000 for a V8 tune-up, and voilà-you've unleashed a behemoth, effortlessly doubling the buzz and brawn of those quaint 4-cylinders. Let's be honest, waxing poetic about these engines should be reserved for those who've not only theorized about internal combustion but have also got their knuckles scraped from actual work under the hood, and know how to handle more than just video game driving simulations. Don’t get swept up in the hype. If you desire something that doesn't practically sign its own death certificate the second the warranty expires and craves genuine power, the V8 isn't just a choice-it's the decree. But, if the soothing purr of a 4-cylinder is what tickles your fancy, by all means, indulge. After all, we live in a world where choices abound. No slight intended towards the urbanites, but my allegiance lies firmly with the undeniable principles of physics and solid engineering, not the fleeting charms of sales pitches and marketing sleights of hand.
@@iMediadvd way more comfortable than standard leafs, the initial bump sensitivity is much softer, but part of this is also having the compression very low on the shock absorber.
Hi ! Nice review. This parabolic arb leaf spring load capacity is how many kg ? No need air bag ? I bought my new lc78 troopy and want to install parabolic but seller say it,s only +50 kg need install with air bag
Why would it ride stiffer than the v8 if the motor is 50kg lighter? This part I didn’t understand. I personally own a DC LC79 V8 . Love it. I want to test drive this new version but I’m not really impressed with the aesthetics tbh. I also own a FJ45 1965 . This new LC79 headlights and grill reminds me of that car. The new look gives me the impression that Toyota has run out of imagination and new ideas. The only thing I love with the new model is the automatic transmission. Otherwise not impressed
Hello from Australia 🇦🇺 Very nice ..The boys Downunder are buying these by the dozens …Thank you regarding OME
Our pleasure!

Thanks for watching! I will aim to make more content like this.
Great build and review thanks!
My dream vehicle at the moment.
Practical for my family and work.
One day will come 🇿🇦💪🏼
Does it come with ISOFIX?
LOOKS SOOOO MUCH BETTER WITH THE ORIGINAL HEAD LIGHTS

very cool Cruiser , and great review on the mods. Look forward to seeing more videos on this vehicle.
Excellent review, as usual from you Ren!
Love what you have done with the bar and suspension! 👍
Hello from Papua New Guinea. I like your build and so I am planning to build mine exactly like yours coz I love it..
Very well explained. To-the-point video!
Thanks bro I really enjoy your video with your family too lovely
Really stunning!
Nice review 👌. Wish the 78 came in the 2.8. Would seriously consider changing.

The ball bar doesn’t look like it fits properly. The top loop takes up 1/5 of the headlight.
Very nice review Ren! Do you still have a functional top gear with 33's?
Thanks buddy. Yes 6th gear works great with the extra weight and 33’s. It locks up well and sits at around 2000rpm with decent torque on a flat road.
The base models (in Australia) come with 225/95R16 tyres, which are ~33" anyway, so they are built to take 33" tyres.
Hi Ren ,what is your consumption per 100kms coming after mods?
Hi, unfortunately I do not have the vehicle anymore and didn’t track the consumption but I’m estimating around 12-13l/100km
@ thanks that’s sounds good considering the big tyres and so forth

Hi what is it like on corrugated roads with the parabolic springs?

Nice car. But i have to ask , how is the sound quality of the 2 speakers

Mashallah, you should go easy on your acceleration at least for the first 1000km,
Is it? . I will wait here for the WHY part. Thanking you in advance😊
Rear wheel spacers are illegal in Australia. Be interesting to see if they shorten the life of your rear wheel bearings.
Are they really?
Interesting that the Sth African models don't get the LED headlights, or the 'Retro' instrument cluster...
Also - the steering wheel doesn't have the volume/voice/dash controls that the Australian version gets. We get the Hilux steering wheel,
This is really disappointing 😢
What size tyres are you running
Hi ! Are you install PB007R leaf spring ?
👏👏
Good review👍
Thanks! 👍
Good luck with the adventures! I can help with the back pain. contact me.
Thank you! Will do!
