This is my favourite of all videos you have made! Absolutely fascinating to see the process how you plan what to thrift and what to buy new. It shows you can totally get all the elements from the second hand market and build the current aesthetics. I am into this kind of ”elevated” thrifting too! And also, the thrift alternatives you found are much better quality and have better longevity in your wardrobe compared to the high street alternatives. (The proof is already there: they have lasted into the thrift stores!)
I am looking for some thrifted bermuda shorts. Because I am a little taller, I am hoping I can find some in the men section that are a little longer and dressy. Thanks for sharing
I don’t know if you know how to sew, but one idea is to get a pair of trousers (even thrifted) and covert them to Bermuda shorts. I’m relatively tall (5’9”) but I have longer legs, so a lot of off-the-rack shorts and skirts are shorter on me. I’ve done that a few times where I bought trousers in a style that I like and converted them to Bermuda shorts.
Me too! I got it as well! 😃 you know, prices started going up when there was a lot of talk about resellers profiting from thrift store prices, but at the same time, if you price your item at $5 it shouldn't matter who buys it, your price was your price... second, a reseller is spending much more than the average customer and helping to move stock from the store, but many didn't see it that way, and then, pricing it away from resellers turned everyone away... I think they call it "cutting your nose off to spite your face" what do you think? There is a general mood in society that hates when people find unconventional ways to get ahead, even if it doesn't affect them one way or another... quite bizarre...
@@modelimage too each it own. I would rather shop at thrift store for myself. It's the thrill and bargain for me. How every people make money is own them. I will be going to Goodwill on Tuesday with the Lord's help.

... now the Resellers are finding great items at Goodwill Bins... items that did not sell in the Goodwill Stores, because they were over-priced. 🤔😉
