@@nickdelia3880 seen them twice back when this song was hot shit and honestly it depended on the venue, i seen them play a decent sized gig and they were okay, not overly energetic but certainly were enjoyable, but the best i seen them was play in a wee bar, packed, with people moshing, stagediving and half the band joining in too, that was a set to remember
Crazy to see how much people love this band now. You can find earlier videos of these guys performing their hearts out and the crowd just standing and watching them. Now everyone in the crowd knows every word to everyone of their songs.
Take to the skies came out in 2006, thats 8 years my man. Plus sorry youre not a winner goes back even further than that! But yeah, more than enough time to get your shit straight.
security: okay rou....rou we get it you said hi to the fans now back to the stage okay everyone move hes still going, just let him idgaf and hes getting closer rou please stahp youre in the band go be with your band
Yeah, they're a great band live but they always play this song sloppily (not always in the right tempo, failed transitions). Some things never change haha.
Doesnt matter when you're there, if you've ever been to a shikari concert youll know that you get lost in the atmosphere and sheer energy that they bring to the set.
Ciian Thornhiil I saw them live 5 times, have been disappointed every time with this song in particular. Don't get me wrong, they're an awesome live band and I loved every concert. But the changes in pace and overall feel of the song doesn't do it for me
dno about this switch up of sorry youre not tbh. fkn original original still gets me the album version is tidy though. original original is like the old hip hop cassette
Where the strings are taught between the tuners and the nut (think thats the right lingo) you can pluck or strum them and they make a veeery high noise - and with a lot of distortion and only plucking the higher two i think, you'll get that noise! its quite easy, but sounds great when used right!
Agustin Torres you know you may be right... sorry about that! i'm not too sure then! ... erm... hm!... gonna quickly see if i can replicate this with me guitar
George Bricher Hahaha, I don't have mine on me right now so i can't experiment and try that out myself. I know you're right about the strumming in between the nut and pegs cause MUSE's Matt Belamy does it in one of their songs and I've replicated it but it didnt look like that here
He usually does it by playing the bit between the end of the neck and the tuners, if you play it through an amp and hit them quite hard it should sound similar
Scratch card glory or waist low pleasure? Black eyes, nose bleeds, don't look back now My white abode, do you remember? My white abode, but it's such a thrill just to find out... yeah, maybe times have changed. I was last there in 2010: Blink, Paramore, Limp Bizkit, Weezer, Cyprus Hill; all pretty solid live acts. Yet the crowd was piss boring, and that was just the saturday. The average age was 16-18, the majority wearing Jack Wills hoodies and scared to get muddy. I've been to Download and TITP three times and five times respectively and i just think it's got nothing on them. The Line-up is consistently superb yet just doesnt have the crowd to match.
the year is 2058. Enter Shikari headline reading for the 34th time. The Camera man is still yet to capture the crowd doing the clap
hahahahaha very true
Let the record show that in 2022, there was a clap captured. But during a Pendulum set, and the second clap as opposed to the one in the intro.
Was about to come and comment about that. That man had one job😭
Wow what a great crowd, great vocalist and crowd interaction. How a concert should be
Not alive you gotta be kidding this is legit the worst performance I've ever seen live
@@nickdelia3880 then you’ve obviously never seen Sleeping with Sirens or Alesana live
Crazy to see how much people love this band now. You can find earlier videos of these guys performing their hearts out and the crowd just standing and watching them. Now everyone in the crowd knows every word to everyone of their songs.
Enter Shikari have the best live performances of any band I have ever seen. Always top quality.
Chris, please, sing more for us...
it's been 4 years and the camera man never learned to capture the shot of the crowd doing the clap. boo.
4 years? try 8.
I think 7 is more accurate, but yeah this goes back in the days :D
Take to the skies came out in 2006, thats 8 years my man. Plus sorry youre not a winner goes back even further than that! But yeah, more than enough time to get your shit straight.
Or shoot in HD cameras
Derk Ender they are HD cameras, its the BBC. Just the BBC haven't quite learned how to upload and export videos in HD yet.
0:53 gets me every time.
SAME
So..This is what Juan Mata does when not playing for Man United? Awsome
This comment is still hilarious in 2021 lol
OMG, goosebumps and tearing eyes, by seeing this perforance and ineraction
I NEED TO SEE SHIKARI AGAIN!!!!
After seeing then 3 times in the span of 2 years having such a long break is KILLING ME

I've now seen them for the 4th time on their mindsweep tour, THEY'RE FUCKING AMAZING
1) do you have a brother called Thomas by any chance
2) was the last garrison good live?
Naah I dont! why? the last garrison was insane! Rou was up on the balcony singing it from there!
I'm blessed to see these guys for the second time next week in South Africa.
I nearly died in this crowd
3:33 ahaha what a melt
The security guys: Oh this band again
BEST BAND IN THE WORLD. AND I'M SEEING THEM 4 DAYS LATER. WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE.
i adore the people going behind him to make sure he does fall over monkeying around, what enablers of fun :D
LOVE the live version's alternate ending
2009 still their best reading set. Chaos in the crowd and pits galore!
There seriously needs to be more songs like this this one is way better than the others I heard so far
1:40 xDDD that smile.
I love it & my name is Shikari (:
How many people have entered you though?
We have a winner!
Dylan Garner you effin' legend
Dylan Garner u da real mvp
Ummm idk kinda lost count after your mom ;p
About time Rou got a wireless mic!
He didn't for most of the set
security:

you said hi to the fans now back to the stage
okay everyone move hes still going, just let him idgaf
and hes getting closer
rou please stahp youre in the band go be with your band
Damn, this band is so good.
Anyone else noticed the bearded man at 1:05 poking Rou?
Zombie Energy its ryan dunn
+naadsk lmao no Ryan Dunn died in 2011
+Riley RIP Ryan Dunn
The extended part should be an actual track - So good
My favorite music ;) since very years. xD
Love this band. Kudos to the Jib op at 4:08
the guy in the front is going to forever be known as the guy who poked his belly lol
still love this song!
clap, clap, clap
Rou with a wireless mic? Shit what happend
Some vocalists want mosh pits
Some vocalists want walls of death
Rou?
Rou wants pyramids
Eu ainda amo vocês ❤️
Best album ever
Looks amazing...really wanna see you guys again!
That guy at the start in the grey jumper with the purple text on the left seems to zone out completely when the song begins hahaha
i love this band
Amazing lovies just amazing as always 💝
this concert was fucking mental
soo sick! Wish i couldve been there!
that breakdown damn...
Such a shame that they have never been able to nail this song live. One of the first songs I think of in terms of a better album than live version
Ciian Thornhiil That's exactly it ! One of the most energetic bands I've ever seen.
Ciian Thornhiil I saw them live 5 times, have been disappointed every time with this song in particular. Don't get me wrong, they're an awesome live band and I loved every concert. But the changes in pace and overall feel of the song doesn't do it for me
Ciian Thornhiil it looks like they are all enjoying it to me! i went to see shikari live and it was fantastic.
3:14 So Luigi goes to Reading in his spare time when theres no ghosts to hunt.
there best song!
0:58 hacktivst on the side
I met Ben walking through the Leeds fest arena section at like 1am. Really cool guy
Met all of Hacktivist 4 times in Plymouth, Reading and Exeter. Not too brag, they're all nice guys 😅
cant wait til their back in ireland, would be a mad gig to be at
Your dream came true , bought a ticket today haha!
I'm leaving cert this year :(
this is crazy ! :)
1st festival and 1st time seeing Shikari, fucking amazing
OMG How i never knew this! 🤤 Is not everyday
Phenomenal 😇😇😇
I'm on the left of the girl who has the yellow bandanna on at 3:28!!
3:32 is epic as fuck, i can't stop laughing
Was about to comment this
He's a badass
Never seen a crowd support a band like the uk supports enter shikari. It’s like hearing them scream at the Beatles half a century ago.
would totally freak out haha
holy shit this is such a perfect live performance, fuck.
love
wow what a terrible performance. at least we found out what happened to green shirt when he popped up at 3:10
dno about this switch up of sorry youre not tbh. fkn original original still gets me the album version is tidy though. original original is like the old hip hop cassette
Love this band.
Green Shirt guy @ 3:25 on the right side center.
Love that little semi hardcore beatdown reminds me of some late 80s NY hardcore before the techno kicks in
Anyone got the full video?
see you at download x
@pokcay That's the BBC for you.
3:33 feat Chewbacca
🤘❤2020
I got so excited when I heard that they'll be in warped tour.... but nah they didnt show up
11 years in the making...
the guy poking rou at 1:03 lmao
Where are the electro-intros for the old songs? :(
why can't i find any enter shikari 2015 reading videos >
+kim0mc They weren't there...
+walkinglettuce they were, but they did Shikari Soundsystem, not an actual set
Where was that?
+walkinglettuce in the actionaid tent, Saturday night
Swear that was 2014, cos they were playing european fests last year
So what exactly did the guitarist do to make the high pitched squeal at 3:32?
Where the strings are taught between the tuners and the nut (think thats the right lingo) you can pluck or strum them and they make a veeery high noise - and with a lot of distortion and only plucking the higher two i think, you'll get that noise! its quite easy, but sounds great when used right!
Oh, I know of that technique but it just looked like he plucked the higher two right by the 1st nd 2nd fret to me

Omg
What guitar is rory using? Is it a fender tele?
3:12 - Luigi

1:40 good guy Shikari
I had no idea Olly Murs took over as siger for Enter Shikari..
NHL 08 anyone?
3:31-3:34 ???
+Алексей Пузанов I think he hands the mic to someone in the crowd
bahahahaha I lost it at that part
Hahahahahhahahaha
0:54
Is it really necessary to have the barrier 50ft from the stage
sick af
Why'd they have to screw up the ending breakdown like that...
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
its epic here.
1:42 :D
Those mosh pits are deadly.. o.o
This song needs to be heavier... turn up the bass and guitars and turn down those keyboards
Why does the tempo drag so bad
Its not the same without the guy with the green shirt
3:10 you're welcome :)
"Ska vi lyfta knark?"
Why is BBC uploading Enter Shikari lmao? Isnt that like brittish news lol
BBC news is just one part of BBC, BBC a broadcasting corporation, they do music and other things aswell
that much security and the space between them and the audience is a complete joke... let them get close
sick
2014 and no HD
Leeds fest crowd were better tbf
Rou just sounds bored, though that's to be expected with a song this old.
Reading and Leeds is put on such a pedestal, yet the atmosphere fundamentally sucks year on year.
I was at Leeds, atmosphere was pretty fuckin' wild.
It was fucking great at Reading, too.
I've been to both and the atmosphere's been pretty fucking epic.
Have you ever been?

Wow that break down, Rou sounded awful..
