A little fun fact about MLS that they didn't touch on too much in this is the Wooden Spoon. It's a fan-made trophy given in jest to the last-placed team each season. (Currently held by FC Cincinnati, ironically, from the 2019 season. It was not awarded after last season.) After 2017, it was given the official name of the Anthony Precourt Memorial Wooden Spoon. It is named after the, undoubtedly, most hated man in American soccer, owner of Austin FC and former owner of Columbus Crew from whom the team had to be saved.

The Columbus Crew are one of the MLS's original teams. They played their first few seasons in Ohio Stadium, which seats 105,000+ people, but never came close to filling the stadium. I wonder if they might now.
As a Columbus native and crew fan we don’t see Cincinnati as a rivalry since it was forced by the mls there is more of a rivalry between the crew and Toronto fc or Chicago than Cincinnati since they can’t leave last place on the tables
Soccer has been so popular in the Seattle area since the 70s . Since that time they have stolen 2 teams from Seattle. milwaukee stole the Baseball Team Pilots to become the brewers and then oklahoma city stole the Seattle SuperSonic NBA team. Seattle drafted Durant not ok. Sued to get baseball back now we have Hockey so let the NBA crawl back.
I'm very happy for them that they didn't have to move. That's the worst. Good on that fan base for keeping them there through sheer force of will. I follow the Premier League and the Championship League (and the last few World Cup matches every time), but I haven't really given much shrift till now for American soccer, mostly because I started following English leagues when I was living there for a short time in college (Toon Army, Arsenal, and Chelsea, in that order, and I despise Man Utd). I can see the attraction now, and since I live directly between Portland and Seattle, I suppose I'll have to go ahead and start supporting the Sounders. They have a pretty big following around here. I love Portland as a city, but I just can't support the Timbers. Can't bring myself to do it. Besides, I don't support the local football team, I cannot stand the Seahawks because there's an old leftover rivalry with my football team & theirs that goes back to the 60s. I really feel for those Columbus Crew folks that they almost had to move, my football team has been moved three times now, but you know you are a real fan when you follow them through thick and thin (even when it's been thin for a very long time now) through multiple cities. So there's that.
My man! You should react to the eastern conference final where Crew beat FCC after being down 0-2 last week. We’re hosting the cup to win it all tomorrow against LA!!
Fun fact: in Ohio it's been illegal to move a team if the team benefits from local or state tax dollars unless you give local potential owners buy the team or the city approves since 1995.
MLS still has a way to go. But it's growing quick. Also I'm a die hard Crew fan. It was such an emotional rollercoaster when they said we were moving the team because of a scumbag owner. When news came that it was staying my mom and I literally cried.
I mean TBF our player took a pretty decent shot forward but their keeper had it covered. But we also made it happen by taking the chances. "You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take", so hoof it forward and make magic happen haha.

THEN they even rallied to save the club’s name from being changed to the more boring and generic “Columbus FC” and they stopped that as well
So they’ve got their same beloved club with the same name AND an awesome-looking new badge as well
Crew, Borussia Dortmund, and Watford fans should all form an international supporters alliance lol ⬛️🟨
Oh no, it was gonna be Columbus SC, double worse. Laughing stock shit. And in the process, we actually got the SC dropped too, back to classic good old "Columbus Crew", no SC bullshit anymore.
I love when I see the Crew in unexpected places. Thank you so much!!!

Every day I post about matches, debuts, birthdays and special events that happened on that particular day. I also have a website but it isn't the easiest to navigate through (I only know so much).

Sacramento Kings fans saved our team from leaving back in 2013. It’s an amazing feeling being able to save your team.
My MLS team lacks a rival. And that kinda sucks. St. Louis is getting a team soon though, I guess they'll probably be our rival.
The Columbus Crew are one of the MLS's original teams. They played their first few seasons in Ohio Stadium, which seats 105,000+ people, but never came close to filling the stadium. I wonder if they might now.
Probably could fill the lower bowl at least but I'm glad they got a new stadium downtown
A good channel to react to for American soccer/football is 11 yanks he breaks down pretty much every national team game and roster
Thanks for the heads up bro, I’ll put a couple of his videos on my list
As an FC Cincinnati fan thank you for not showing the next game
But, the second game was much better...😊
Its interesting that Ledesma sounds like such a Dutch name, but he sounds like he's from Argentina or Uruguay.
He's from Argentina.
@@ericb790 Yeah, I looked it up afterwards. You can tell by his accent.
Good stuff, Kabir.
Thanks mate!
My man! You should react to the eastern conference final where Crew beat FCC after being down 0-2 last week. We’re hosting the cup to win it all tomorrow against LA!!
Ethan Horvath got signed by Nottingham Forrest!!!!!!!!
Love the Crew! Columbus rocks, Cincatucky blows!
Darbh? I always thought it meant another name for Bowler hat. Please explain. Inquiring minds want to know
U should watch a video on the austin fc fans we’re insane✅ they call us Los verdes loco for a reason
columbus barely hung on to keep a team. Cincinnati managed to grossly outdraw columbus
Massive as always. Big ups from Ohio
You should watch Montreal Impact vs Toronto FC rivalries
You should react to "Roll Tide War Eagle"
Onto the list it goes!
@@kabirconsiders you may have to split it into a 2-part series because it's roughly about an 1hr long
Fun fact: in Ohio it's been illegal to move a team if the team benefits from local or state tax dollars unless you give local potential owners buy the team or the city approves since 1995.
Assume that became a thing after Model took the Browns from us?
Yup.
Crew for Life!
U should review the mls 2020 final
Go Crew! We were not going to give up our team without a fight.
The Lady is The Real Deal 😊
MLS still has a way to go. But it's growing quick. Also I'm a die hard Crew fan. It was such an emotional rollercoaster when they said we were moving the team because of a scumbag owner. When news came that it was staying my mom and I literally cried.
I’m still laughing that Cincinnati gave us a goal!!😂😂😂 lmao….it was a own goal!!😂I’m the most recent game they played Cincinnati scored a own goal
I mean TBF our player took a pretty decent shot forward but their keeper had it covered. But we also made it happen by taking the chances. "You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take", so hoof it forward and make magic happen haha.
And let me introduce : Austin FC the devil itself welcome to hell !
please watch the video about The Crew opening up their new stadium 2 weeks ago.
If you go to Cincinnati you can get a ticket in the bailey witch was all the people with the drums of like 20 usd if that
My respect for Kabir if he does this 📈📈📈
I can’t wait for the sporting kc vs stl city sc derby starting in 2023💪💪
Hopefully it becomes one of the best in MLS!
Cincinnati has a beautiful new soccer stadium.. They will be amazing to watch for years to come.. I'm not a fan personally I'm just a Soccer/Futbol fan and enjoy watching the game when 💩 politics aren't being thrown in our face
Do Toronto fc v Montreal impact
Atleast the rivalry isn’t called that Holy Matromony is between one man and women another sign from Cincinnati to Columbus
