Pretty sweet deal Pstreet. I would buy the replacement section for the window seal. It is a very common area for rust so you can buy just the bottom lip of the window seal. Those rivets are not stock, someone has been in there. Looks like your replacement panel is in good shape so you can use the whole thing expect for the top window lip. I would work on seperating the replacement panel from the vent section. Then I would move onto the bottom section of the inner nose. You will probably have to buy the whole bottom replacement inner panel. That is a very common rust area and it looks like someone has already tried to fix it. Good luck buddy. I will have to do the same job one day.
@@SanDiego_VDubLife Thanks man, I am separating the skin from the inner structure now. It's a big job. My lower windshield frame is rough, I may try to patch it up or I may order a piece.....Not sure. I hope you don t have to do this to yours. I already have the lower inner structure, bought it new. 👍💪
I have an oscillating cutter (similar to plaster cast cutter) for my spot welds. Metal cutting blades get dull quick. You may need a few. I understand budget restrictions....
Gizmo is sooooo cute. Hello PStreet, you are definitely helping me to create a game plan for my bus. Ty this nose job is right up your alley. I know you’ll do a great job. The way you started pulling back the layers and creating a plan is the way to go. This work isn’t easy. 👍🤓
Looks like you may need a new windscreen rubber as well? Me personally I'd drill out the spot welds along the windscreen & put it all on in one piece! Either way I know you will get it done!! 👍
@@jarnosaarinen4583 Thanks Jason, yes the windshield is quite cloudy on the bottom, too bad because it has no cracks or chips. Definitely all new rubbers ! One step at a time
