This is a companion video to my recent Flex Plates video. It was previously accessible but unlisted, and as a little experiment here I want to make it public for a while and see if TH-cam does anything with it.
This caused two problems on my printer. Not only did I have to adjust the bottom stop, but I also had to edit the G-code firmware because the end of print vertical travel was too much and it was crashing at the top.
I wanted to do that for my mars 3 but when I unscrew the build plate, the whole plate tilts slightly. when I put it back on it probably goes back into place at the right level, but I don't 100% trust it. flex plate is much better for me as the build plate never moves and I'll have to relevel less.
Elegoo if you are watching send this man a Mars 5 Ultra I'd love to see what a flex plate would be like on that machine. Thanks for the videos informative as always.

Quick, informative, only complaint is lack of bunni!

Spacers do be important
I just bought a 2nd build plate for my mars 3pro. 25 quid. I'd rather switch between plates than have to worry about 3rd party flex plates

I did this with my mars 4 and plan to do it with my Saturn 4. It gives me time to let the resin drain off the plate and continue to print

I've toyed with the idea of a flex plate and from my (admittidly limited) research, it seems WhamBam include longer bolts in the box?
This is just amazing
Can we use the wham bam system for the elegoo saturn 4 ultra?
Yes.
With or without a spacer? @@eeedoubleyou
I did this on my Saturn 2. Was very easy but needed new bolts.
Thanks, just watched your last video, magnet mod. Crazt how you did it, also I had no idea you had to add spacers. Love ur vids man
