- The very first day in Ba Be Lake and the beauty of this place surprised me every minute. I learned a lot about another faction of Vietnamese cuisine. I tried some new herbs and spices that I have never tried before. I learned how to make the famous dish from the Northeast mountain, which is Pork leg braised with wild Shiitake mushroom and Mac Mat. The dish took about 3 hours to be fully cooked, but it was worth the wait. Being able to share this fantastic dish and the incredible scenery is an unforgettable experience.
