That's annoying. Hope it can be fixed? My SY35 was sent to me wrapped in a couple of plastic bags, so it's a miracle it wasn't in pieces by the time it showed up. One person's treasure is another person's junk!
Hey man, love your channel, so creative! I've been coming over several times to find some great sounding 80s synths (even if they are very limited), to snatch affordably for the day that I'll have enough time to make some music with them. I enjoy listening to your tasteful tracks, if at any time you feel like somebody should be drumming to some of your tracks on authentic 80s vintage e-drums let me know! ✌
Now that you have had some time with both of the SY vector models, how do you compare the two? Do you like one over the other? Are they different enough to justify having both?
I would say that the SY35 has the edge. It had some upgrades on the SY22, but also i found the presets more interesting and varied, with some cool vector possibilities. You could probably justify both if you only ever used the presets, but for your own custom patches the 35 on its own is all you'd need.
Totally timeless, above all the cinematic ending: Most likely in 100 years that could still work as a movie score. P. S.: It's me Minoxidil (If you remember). Recently I changed to my real name instead of permanently using a hair restorer's designation. 😂😂😂
Another excellent composition. Well done 👍🏻
Cheers Matt!
Awesome. Time to pull SY22 out of storage. Thank you for inspiration.
You're welcome! The vector joystick makes it worth rediscovering, I think. I only really scratched the surface here
Great, I have a Yamaha TQ-5 somewhere at home, the sound equivalent of the SY-22, you inspired me to try it after many years ;))
Enjoy!
Nice one!
Ta!
gnarly ! I tried to buy a DX-7 off of craigslist yesterday...but it was broken when I arrived.

Used to own one, thanks for sparking my memories. :)

Hey, cheers Ralf. Glad you've been enjoying the videos. Just checked out your channel - looks excellent! And that's a really great offer, thanks :)
You really put your soul into these old decks. I love it!
I enjoy starting with a fresh palette of sounds for each video. Thanks for watching :)
Super... Really impressive. As Always, also like your video presentation - cool and actually informative too.

Thanks! :D Welcome back!
Sounds like Skinny Puppy
What is that music?

I had an SY22, what a horrible MIDI implementation. Utter garbage, IMHO, although I produced several albums with that as a MIDI controller..
