This is great! U2 was the first band I was a fan of, U2 is a symbol of my childhood, and now that I am in my tennage years, Paramore puts the soundtrack to my life. Finding this is pure gold, It's not bad at all, I won't say it's better or worst than the original, it's just different. Paramore interpretated this song at their very own style.
Pretty much perfect. She sings it with skill right? The tone is right, the lyrics spoken clearly. So what if the original is better? She worked hard on this. And god damn she did good.
My humble opinion, U2's version doesn't hold a candle to this. My daughter dug Paramore up online about 15 years ago. Gave me goosebumps then and still does, but I'm not a huge fan of U2
It's slathered in autotune so unfortunately you can't hear her skill, can't hear her unique style, you can't hear any different interpretation that she can bring to the song, or her real voice because it has been processed through a computer. It's a shame because Hayley is a very talented singer. I never blame the singers no matter how big they are. I always blame the producers and the major record companies. Whoever produced this track have butchered Hayley's unique expressive interpretive of this song. It's robbed her as well as us as listeners. Hayley doesn't need autotune. 😢
Sunday Bloody Sunday is such an amazing song i feel like this is a good cover and i like how they make it almost like its a character who is beaten down and is losing hope the real version by u2 is really a call to action at least thats what it represents to me I personally like the version with anger and rage if you want to see a good combination of both go look up U2 Sunday Bloody Sunday live rattle and hum
You know, I really like both versions of this song. I dig Hayley Williams' voice so hard, and this song is freaking amazing. I'm quite happy this version exists, if only to compliment the original.
Though I will say, that it's a shame Hayley never decides to take it that extra mile. Her vocal range is totally capable of hitting this song with a stronger punch, and I think she could've done that while maintaining the melancholy and regretful tone.
Why does a cover of a song have to be exactly the same style of the original? It's just another interpretation from another artist and I personally like both versions for different reasons
Yeah, it's about the attacks in Northern Ireland. It was a terrible time, and terrifying for everyone. This version is my favourite, but I will never see it as a love song. To me, seeing it as a love song isn't a possible thing to do, and a little bit offensive. People died during that time
@@rays6693 or dont! practice, study and then practice a little more, talent doesn't grow on your mom's belly, it comes with your hard work! with Hayley isn't different hahaha
I like both versions, but the original just encapsulates the energy and distress of the actual event that this song is based on -- that is why I prefer the original.
Yes, really, well it depends on what you like, if you like rock more than U2, if you like the slow version than Paramore... I prefer rock, it's original
The first one I've heard was a man voice version, more emotional, still better than the original. but it brings me here and I love Paramore vers too! if u might know which band also cover this song, pls tell me..
I cant find this on iTunes, does anybody know if it is on an album or another way i could find it ? thanks ! and thanks for the upload this song is beautiful
I like both versions. However, it's a sad song and U2 sings it with a very happy tune.. their happy tune doesn't really match the sad lyrics to me. While she sings with a more emotional tune. Just my opinion of course.
***** Wow you really can not accept opinions. :p Hayley has a lot of emotion when singing it, maybe too much? I don't think so though. I just find U2 a little too happy sounding. My opinion. Respect it and I'll respect yours.
KatNicole The song isnt meant to be sad, it was to try to bring hope to the people of my country after foreign soldiers opened fire on a crowd of innocent civil rights protestors. They did by rule of the crown. Tiocfaidh ár lá a chara.

I love the original from u2, but paramores version has something that can bring a tear to my eye
its hailey's voice, its just beautiful
Wolfy Kaname very well said brother
Wolfy Kaname I agree but I think it's the effort she puts into this song that just makes it beautiful
