Haven't seen a single comment about it so I don't know if it's just me but I love the fact that you added subtitles to this video. Helps massively for non-English speakers.
The colour palate of those Dickens is fab! What a great present. Belated happy birthday. Funeral Nights sounds great. I hadn’t heard of it but am intrigued. I loved Zweig when I read one of his novellas and have meant to get back to him ever since. Thank you for the reminder.
Ah thank you! In this digital age I'm always trying to replicate that old feeling of going into a bookshop and picking up something purely based on the blurb, hence books like Funeral Nights making their way into my bag! I can't help but do a quick Storygraph check just to make sure I'm not totally wasting my money 🙃 but I try! I'll report back.
Really enjoyed watching each and every book in this haul! I’ve just moved to England and am building a new life in London and couldn't bring any of my books here with me. This was an inspiration as I’m also gonna have huge haul in near future! Thanks Jess!♥️
as a chicagoan and an indie bookstore crawler i let out a little "NOOOO" when you said you're not mentioning where you got each book (~8:03) 😭 hope you had a blast in my beautiful city and our beautiful bookstores
Ah I was so impressed by the bookstores! Some real variety which is nice. It's a great city! I've started a new thing where if I buy a book in a physical shop I'll write where I got it in the front. I love finding old receipts in used books so thought I'd make any future snoopers' lives easier 😅
Okay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the kislux book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
Hi Jess, I wanted to let you know I’m a watcher of your old content days of Topahop Hauls and Luxury hauling. I remembered you raving about the brand American Apparel’s Nail Lacquer formulated polis range how unique it was in wear and color range, and I just came to share that the brand is now under Los Angeles Apparel, and yes, the Nail Lacquer ranges are there with new shades! Great growth on your channel since then. *Your grunge styling and moody wardrobe is eternal in this app.*
I loved all the Nicola Griffiths novels I’ve picked up! Spirits abroad is a fantastic collection, I love Zen Cho. The podcast the bookstore had an episode about the book Ice actually! It seems really strange in an interesting way. I hope you enjoy all these reads Jess! And happy late birthday 💗🦀
Thank you Sunny!! I'm v glad to hear you've enjoyed Nicola Griffith before, I'm really looking forward to Hild. Also Spirits Abroad! I hope to get to it before the end of the year 🤞🏼
I kept hearing Marlon James rave about The Long Ships so I picked it up a few months ago and loved it so much I've read three non-fiction books about the Viking age since. And Woman Running in the Mountains is one of my all-time favorite novels.
Not a frequent commenter, but I have to say The Brothers K is an incredible book, an all time favorite. The descriptions you shared of Funeral Nights reminded me of David James Duncan's latest book Sun House, which I loved, so I need to check it out. Thanks for the great recs as always!
Have you read the wool trilogy? Or seen the tv adaptation of the series called Silo - I just finished the first book and interested to know your thoughts if you have read it 😊
Seeing a new sunbeams upload is like getting a new episode of your favorite show. Happy belated birthday and glad you had a good trip!
Ah thank you! ❤️

Ah I hope you find your feet in London soon ❤️ it can be a daunting city but of course I love it, too. And here's to a new mini-library!
What a fantastic haul!! So many books I want to add to my tbr.

I know it's still July, but are you doing volgtobers this year? I've missed them immensely 😢
Oh! Just in time for my night cuppa. Hello from Australia, Jess ❤
The player of games is one of the best from the culture series! You can read them out of order and player of games is a good starting point :))
Okay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the kislux book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
Ah so excited for this! Just in time for me to go bookshopping tomorrow 👀
I loved man with the compound eyes so much! Can’t wait to see what you make of it, no one else I know has read it ✨

soo happy to see an upload from my comfort youtuber
Hi Jess! Great taste! Are you going to make a video of your May and June books?
Yes it's coming soon! I filmed and edited the whole thing last week and then decided I needed to start again 🤪 hence the delay!
good to see you again :) what books do you recommend to be read in October Jess?
Perhaps I'll do a video on this of old faves and what I'm planning to read this year!
I HATED hild. would love to get your take!
did you go to unabridged in chicago?? i’ve visited a few times and was super impressed by their various collections and lgbt section!
I did! *Such* a good LGBT section, and I was pleasantly surprised by their spec fic too. All round a really nice atmosphere.
How current and boring @@sunbeamsjess
You look a lot like Sally Rooney in this video (a compliment, of course) ❤
Happy Birthday.
Hey Jesssss
It’s such a weird question but could you please tell me what gauge your septum ring is?? I love it 😭
Whish you posted more❤

I haven't! I'd really like to read Silo, though I'd be interested to know what you think of the next couple books as I've heard mixed things!
@@sunbeamsjess will let you know! I really like the first book but not sure how to feel about the next one being a prequel so we’ll see🤔
I could listen to you talk for days🩷
😍😍😍

Doesn't Zak work for yout? So really you just bought yourself that set...
