This is why I love rec room. I just like the chaotic rec centres, the random players who always make me laugh somehow and most importantly have good time with everyone

Things I wish I knew BEFORE starting Rec Room, building relationships, having a best friend, make your own game, do not go to PVP's, toxic as a snake, feeling like you're in the environment, create memories from the past. Bottom line, I love Rec Room, I play it everyday, and I can thank my brother for giving me this game. 5:35 hahahahaha my new head! I had no friends at all before joining Rec Room, now I have a best friend, gained more subscribers on my channel and more followers on my Instagram.
Those friends u meet ARE real friends and usually more accessible. Met most of my friends in MMOs in the 2000’s. I even met my rl husband in a game. Been married 10 yrs now. He became a firefighter n we have 2 kids hahah Did a search to see what Rec room was abt for my 12 yr old. Can’t seem to find one directed at the parents as far as keeping ur kids safe n all… BUT this was a good intro at least and ur voice is so charming/calming 💛 👍
My tips for keeping kids safe on rec room - Check in with them often, put them on a junior account if they're under 13 (it's the rules, they can't talk to other people though), have a chat with them about street smarts (basically same as anywhere on the internet. Don't trust people, don't let people ask you for personal information, etc) It's a great game and the bad people are few and far between, but one must be aware that like anywhere on the internet, sketchy people do exist unfortunately. i just started playing rec room a few weeks ago. i have really bad social anxiety. so far ive not been able to say anything in voice chat. even typing is scary for me. i had like 3 panic attacks in a row while trying to talk to someone.. it makes me sad that i cant make friends as easily as others.. but i will keep trying!

paintball is the absolute WORST for me because i move around the map actually getting kills instead of camping with the sniper (in team battle ofc) and people get mad because they're bad at close range with a sniper and dont keep their pistol, which you need to do if you're using a sniper as a primary like me

In 2020 I was playing a game with my friends when we finished I forgot to favorite it 1 year later I forgot the name then I remembered that I didn't favorite the game and I really wanted to play it again.

Well, isnt that a good thing? A skilled guy is helping you and is probably good at it. Sure, you won't get as high of a rank if you don't step up your game, and you might run into a few of his arrows, but you don't lose points for that, he does, so it's no big deal. Otherwise, just go solo or with people you know.
I honestly wish i knew that people in the recenter would harass others. I like hanging out there since its a cool area, but i will always have to run away from someone shouting my user (especially during the whole valentines stuff)

Try looking for things with smaller room capacity, like MazeRacers, some of the horror maps (itchaptertwostory is a good one) and those farm simulators (TheMiniFarm). Lesser known maps like that already have less toxic people, I find. If you find someone who seems decent, definitely friend them right away. I met some of my best friends in random maps, but also by commenting on their TH-cam channels as so many fun people make Rec Room content!
Honestly toxic people are funny to fight in paintball cause once some guy was be toxic and I killed him so many times with a grenade he actually told me to kill myself and blocked me
The thing I wish I new was to be careful hoo you became friends with cause I made friends with people that were cool at first but then like a couple months later they became toxic and Brott down some stress in my life and now I wish I was never friends with them ever before.I blocked them and unfriended them. So if your ever in that sich trust me you will feel better unfriending them. Ps another tip that will save your life is to keep as much stress out of your life as possible trust me it helps a lot
