What I mean is that STAAD is only a software to help you out with the calculations. Nothing more. So the accuracy of the data / inputs you feed into this software determines the output / structural design you get out of this software.

You did pretty good job explaining the need for the software and how it works but you made a major mistake when you said " the knowledge of analysis can be skipped or it isn't a mandatory " this statement is completely wrong. An engineer who doesn't know the analysis process is same as someone who is guessing what would happen to the structure. Therefore, he/she shouldn't be designing any structure at all. The software is just a tool without the knowledge of engineering is just useless.

M Gedi thank you for your kind words. And yes, I completely agree with you that one must have the knowledge of analysis. That is why I reiterated on the concept of garbage in garbage out.
