For me I think DJ Suv was the man, so many unreleased bangers from him. He had such a unique style and sound. Bill Riley was another too. Krust is the king of the sampler. Die never made a bad tune. There is a tune by Roni Size called Hornz but it was the unreleased better version. Bryan Gee always played it as his intro circa 99/00, Amazon 10 is a good example.
I agree people back then and the community would support one another more so than nowadays. They'd buy their music, go to see them at events, and support them and their careers in positive light. There certainly was a different culture back then. Skibadee also helped and celebrated many others artists and those coming up the ranks. He never denied up and coming MCs the chance to touch mic he always motivated them. It was such a special era!!
@@TakeMeBackPirateRadio yh man i was the only one out of all my friends back in the 90s that liked mcs and drum n bass five o, fearless, det, eks, herbzie, shabba, ect ect, mainly because i loved the bass putting car subs in my bedroom and causing the neighbours hassle them bangers was booming out my bedroom window every Friday night without fail, I got nothing but massive respect for dnb, Its really knocked me around and im not just saying that, Supporting mcs and drum n bass since i was 14 or 15, now 40 i still love it more jump up, but jungle aswell
