"You will never know how much it has cost my generation , to preserve your freedom. I hope you make good use of it." Excellent words. It frightens me how much--or rather, how little--today's citizens regard the word "freedom". The Canadian government (via the CBC) actually put out a statement that included the words "The word freedom has become has become common among far right groups" or some such nonsense, as if freedom is ONLY important to them. How could someone regard the word "freedom" as a negative thing--yet I see this type of attitude more and more even here in America. Our own intelligence groups have added "Constitutionalists" to their list of extremists. It appears these videos about the Founding Fathers, and why they designed things the way they did, is sorely needed. Thank you.
Beginning equal is irrelevant. No one wants to live equal, but better. To whom much is given, much is required. Inequality is not evil, it is inevitable. Our responsibility as children of God is to Honor and Respect each other without fail, through every experience, however unequal.

For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.”* - Matthew 7:13-14

A new idea in the history of ideas... a political community based not on ethnicity, race or religion - but instead - its based on a set of ideas - - on a creed. Much of the work of the Constitutional Convention was mere window dressing to conceal it's real purpose, which was to establish a strong central government with legal authority to provide repayment of loans made to the Americans by British financiers, principally those who were also stockholders of the Bank of England. The new gov. was also commissioned to insist upon the repayment of mortgages to British lenders , which the post revolution courts notably led by George Wythe, a drafter of the Constitution, and called the father of our legal system, duly demanded from the deptors. On July 9, 1778, meeting in Philadelphia Congress had approved the Articles of Confederation (written by Alexander Hamilton a member of the chosen tribe) which then became the ruling body of law for the young Nation. These Articles established the principles of States' Rights, and effectively ruled out the possibility of a strong central gov., a federal power. If you want to know where our freedoms come from, study John Calvin and John Knox if you want to know where the constitution comes from. It's based on protestant calvanist resistance theology. Not philosophy
Not really. I can produce quotes from founders literally saying that they didn't want people to think what they were doing had supernatural origins and was based in reason. You need to produce explicit proof that the founders were directly influenced by resistance theology and I haven't really seen any evidence for that. But even if that were true resistance theory doesn't seem to be biblical and based on the actual character and message of Christ.
I'm not talking about vague notions of cultural influence either. There's people that say that Postmillenialist eschatology and theology influenced marxist thinking. There might be some truth there, these views might have entered culture, they are somewhat similar ways of viewing reality (things becoming better and better as reality progresses), but there isn't explicit evidence for such a claim, I doubt Marx was reading alot of theological works on Postmillenial eschatology as a direct influence on his ideas and nobody would claim his ideas were Christian. Same thing applies here.
Congress shall make no law abridging freedom of religion unless someone you know has violated laws made by congress. - even if it was years before you ever knew them.

Forgetting Martin Luther as well
