Cyberpunk is one of those songs that just really reminds me how much I love music. Like I'm listening to it and I'm suddenly driving in a futuristic city URGH I LOVE IT SO MUCH
This is easily my favourite ATEEZ album, it's so cohesive and all the songs work together to continue the plot of their storyline. I love that they explored futuristic and grungier sounds that we've never heard them do before. The Ring is my favorite b side they've ever done
SAY IT WITH ME Y'ALL ALBUM OF THE YEAR FRRR the way they told the story sooo well not only through lyrics but also through sound , they outdid themselves all of it from the vocals and rap to how the tracklist flows made the listening experience really unique.

Also, mingi is such an underrated lyricist! like, he writes the most amazing lines and hidden worldplays. the nest part is that he knows how to match those lyrics to the song and his voice! Also, they're actually going to perform NEW WORLD in the concert 😭☹

This album was everything ! I was so excited to see you do a review. Yeosang starting Sector 1 was phenomenal, Also in Sector 1 the 2nd chorus Seonghwa is harmonizing with Wooyoung. Seonghwa was on top. Whoever made this color coded lyric video did it backwards lol
Haven't started but am 100% ready for Caitlin to lose her mind! Thanks so much for this! I feel like sometimes people are too quick to say an album they love is AOTY, but honestly, for me this is 100% it. The way the songs tie together, the way each song is amazing, the way the songs are different but all fit the same theme, there's nothing like it. Like you said this is the best ATEEZ and I'm excited for what's to come next! And also this is one of the few ATEEZ albums that I had on loop for weeks and never got tired of it. It's amazing. Edit: Caitlin's inability to utter a single word during "The Ring" sums up my reaction to that song. I should not like that song, it's totally not my alley, but ATEEZ just make it work man. Beyond amazing.
the "open your eyes" has been a thing since wave/illusion era !! i think its at the end of illusion (yk like the end teasers they do) where you hear hongjoong whisper "open you eyes"
The only thing I don't like about this album is that Propaganda is only an intro. I fell in love with it during the trailer. I wanted a full song. This album is so good I want to stand on a street corner with a sign telling everyone to listen to it. You are so right about finding their sound. Jongho always sounds great, but this style of vocal is perfect for him.
The moment I heard The Ring, I knew that it was gonna be my favorite song on the album. It really hit me with the instrumentals during the chorus and then Jongho with "I'm not okay" 🎶 Boy, stop! Genuinely a no skip album for me. Other groups I stan definitely have a few songs i skip when listening thru albums but only because each song is wayyy to different to one another so its jarring to play them back to back. With Ateez and some other groups, the track list is really cohesive.
when this first came out, idk what thoughts i had before but all of them were bulldozed aside, i felt so much pride n utter shock towards ateez. my guys have a KNACK for outdoing themselves time n time again. vocally they were not fucking playing w anybody, the technique they chose for this album brought me to tears. i was literally you, when u flew on ur bed, but throughout the entire album. one aspect of them i always loved was their theatrics, in sound & in personality; this album completely embodied that. this is pure art and a movie score all wrapped into one. i will never not be passionate/protective about ateez bc they show in every single way that they were destined to do this. the storytelling in this...the STORYTELLING. shoutout 2 everybody @ kq for sharing n putting together this beautiful album. All I could think was “wtf just happened?” and a series of omg’s and holy sh*t’s lol I completely agree with you on this being their best album, because of its cohesiveness both in lyrics and in sound, without being repetitive. It’s just masterfully done. Also, I feel like this is such a cinematic album. I could see a whole movie playing in my heart song after song. KQ, I need that movie for real asap! I love love love this album. Because it's telling a story. And due to that, i loved New World so so much because it felt so hopeful and beautiful, seeing a new world after all that fighting. I dunno how else they are going to develop their story after this, and i cannot wait to join their pirate ride. Thanks for sharing your reaction and for appreciating their album. Okay so, I too LOVE the fever series. It's so comforting to me in so many ways. But with this new series it really feels more gritty and aggressive. It makes me feel strong and like I can stand up for myself and other who need help. Fever series comforted me, but The World series empowers me

I truly do believe this is their best album. Like you said, everything is cohesive from beginning to end, there is also a recurrent theme of water/rain/wave which I love negl. I have chills every single time I listen to this album. There is just so much emotions in the way they sing? I don't know how to explain it but it's like, even listening to the songs without having the lyrics in front of me, I'm like HOLY SH- you know? Also, Take me home used to be my favorite bsides but Cyberpunk definitely claimed that title since. I swear Cyberpunk now owns my soul LOL
Eden-ery deserves some kind of award for this - it’s genuinely one of the best conceptual albums ever (kpop or not). The album has a distinctive sound, cohesive storyline that progresses from the first song to last with recurring themes and lyrics. Not to mention how each song is a banger but with such deep meanings behind it and outstanding performances to boot.
this has been THE ONLY reaction i've seen of the ring that matches my exact one when i listened to it for the first time. the shock, the speechlessness, the blatant mindbreak at the masterpiece. yes yes yes. when you got back, in silence, just to listen to the bridge again- I FELT THAT. when this album first dropped i felt like i had no one to talk to about it, and it made me so frustrated. i still think, despite everything, the ring is still slept on but like. it's one of my favourite songs of ALL TIME, not only for kpop, but for every single genre of music i listen to. the ring is SO perfect i have no words to describe it, so your reaction is filling me up with joy because your expressions and body language are speaking to me right now. thank you from the bottom of my heart
What a lovely reaction! I thoroughly enjoyed it! This is by far my favorite Ateez album and that's saying a lot for me because I never believed they would be able to top their EP: Fin album. I have loved every single album they have put out but this one blew all of the others out of the water and truly left me speechless. The first time I listened to it all the way through I was at a loss for words and had to just sit and process. It was like my mind could not comprehend if what I had just heard was even real. It's been over a month now and I still listen to this album daily on loop. I have said this before but I think it bears repeating. Ateez has one of the best music producing teams in kpop bar nobody and I mean nobody. No one is making the kind of music that they are making. What I love most about them is that they are risk takers. They are not afraid to experiment and go in a totally unexpected direction. It's like they have this mentality that they are just not going to play it safe musically. As a fan, I have learned to tell myself not to put expectations or boundaries around what I think their musical direction will be or what I want it to be because Ateez will NEVER do what's expected. They have always surprised me in the best possible way and this album really reminded me of why I love them so much. Like you said, it's an absolute masterpiece from top to bottom! I've been with these guys from practically the beginning of their journey and to watch them grow as young men and as artists has been a privilege and true delight. They really outdid themselves on this album and I couldn't be prouder!

Girl, you're breaking my heart lol I was so lucky to finally see them this year and I wanted to go to their Atlanta concert later this year but the date is not a good time with my job and the prices are...a lot more lol. I so badly just want to buy you a ticket and plane tickets or something because it's so worth it and I want everyone to experience their concert at least once.

Idk if anybody else like me literally burst out laughing & clapping by the time it reached the last line, cos the song was ridiculously good. Felt like I'm watching a top-notch thriller, epic movie except tt im staring into blank space. Couldn't even look at the screen for the ccl. I imagine how apt it'd be for a movie-like Halloween MV. This album, perfection! How will they top this? But I'm 100% sure they will.
Your whole reaction was my same reaction as well when I first listened to the album. I was shocked beyond words. The way every song just kept outdoing the next had me going crazy! Like of course Ateez has made incredible albums in the past, but not quite on a level like this before. Like you said this is their most cohesive album to date that tells a story perfectly from beginning to end. The World Ep 1: Movement does it perfectly with all the b-sides sounding distinctive from each other. Something about movement album just makes me feel things, I cannot express how Ateez’s music is so powerful. Another thing I noticed is how Ateez are utilizing their vocals differently in this album than we’ve ever heard before. Some members like Seonghwa stood out for his deeper toned voice that we don’t usually hear. We heard more vocal ranges from San, Wooyoung, and Yunho. The harmonies were just off the charts which I think made the album sound even more epic altogether. By far this is Ateez’s best album lyric wise, instrumental wise, bside wise, vocally wise, and storyline wise. I will never be able to stop praising this album. I definitely think Ateez just made the best album in their career so far.

I can't choose between the two- all I know is both songs mean the world to me. I kept checking back every so often because I knew you would get to this eventually and that it would be worth it. I was right. You are such a positive person and you can tell you genuinely love what you do- as a multi who is constantly on your channel, I really appreciate the open and honest reactions. Shine bright, Starlight. We'll be here to support your channel in whatever you do. I deadass had to have gotten one of the absolute last tickets in Chicago that wasn't resale or 'platinum'. I had pre-sale codes both days and it let me through the queue pretty quick but was blocking my access because I was on wifi to get to actually select a ticket. I NEVER call people but I called AXS twice a d was told they couldn't help me until the sale opened for the general public (despite having valid codes for both presales) sales. Called general sale day to order but had the site up more for the countdown since it wouldn't let me do anything the other days. By some absolute miracle, while the lady on the phone was logging into a bazillion systems, I just took a chance with ordering online and literally VIP2 and a single seat were the only things showing as available. Tried for the seat but it said someone got it before me so I tried the VIP section not thinking I had a chance and after the second or third time, it went through. THEN the lady on the phone said she had finally gotten access. 🙄 if I hadn't taken that chance with the website... I thought nothing could have been worse than trying to get tickets with the MyMusicTaste fiasco for the last tour. Somehow AXS made me miss Ticketmaster. And I understand that there's a lot going on in Chicago around that time of the year so other, bigger venues might not have been available, but the other venues literally have almost double the capacity and still got 2 shows. That was a little frustrating, especially because there isn't anything else close enough that I could travel too, even if I wanted to. Fingers crossed you might be able to get a ticket from resale when they lower prices closer to the show. I really would love for you to be able to see them.

This and the fever part 1 album is just everything to me, not 1 song isnt perfection holy smokes. Also for side songs, there are some bsides from the japan albums like you said: Better, Blue summer, still here, white love. Some other side songs from their drama: Malo, Diamond, Amen, Constellation-Shax version, Your sign, Like when we first met, Trouble maker, Summer taste. and recently they made an Ost called Lets get together, Jongho has several Ost's which are posted on their yt channel, 2 are on spotify called A fairy tale of youth, One late night in 1994. I completely agree with you on this being their best album, because of its cohesiveness both in lyrics and in sound, without being repetitive. It’s just masterfully done. Also, I feel like this is such a cinematic album. I could see a whole movie playing in my heart song after song. KQ, I need that movie for real asap! I love love love this album. Because it's telling a story. And due to that, i loved New World so so much because it felt so hopeful and beautiful, seeing a new world after all that fighting. I dunno how else they are going to develop their story after this, and i cannot wait to join their pirate ride. Thanks for sharing your reaction and for appreciating their album. Okay so, I too LOVE the fever series. It's so comforting to me in so many ways. But with this new series it really feels more gritty and aggressive. It makes me feel strong and like I can stand up for myself and other who need help. Fever series comforted me, but The World series empowers me

I truly do believe this is their best album. Like you said, everything is cohesive from beginning to end, there is also a recurrent theme of water/rain/wave which I love negl. I have chills every single time I listen to this album. There is just so much emotions in the way they sing? I don't know how to explain it but it's like, even listening to the songs without having the lyrics in front of me, I'm like HOLY SH- you know? Also, Take me home used to be my favorite bsides but Cyberpunk definitely claimed that title since. I swear Cyberpunk now owns my soul LOL
Eden-ery deserves some kind of award for this - it’s genuinely one of the best conceptual albums ever (kpop or not). The album has a distinctive sound, cohesive storyline that progresses from the first song to last with recurring themes and lyrics. Not to mention how each song is a banger but with such deep meanings behind it and outstanding performances to boot.

this has been THE ONLY reaction i've seen of the ring that matches my exact one when i listened to it for the first time. the shock, the speechlessness, the blatant mindbreak at the masterpiece. yes yes yes. when you got back, in silence, just to listen to the bridge again- I FELT THAT. when this album first dropped i felt like i had no one to talk to about it, and it made me so frustrated. i still think, despite everything, the ring is still slept on but like. it's one of my favourite songs of ALL TIME, not only for kpop, but for every single genre of music i listen to. the ring is SO perfect i have no words to describe it, so your reaction is filling me up with joy because your expressions and body language are speaking to me right now. thank you from the bottom of my heart

This is by far my favorite Ateez album and that's saying a lot for me because I never believed they would be able to top their EP: Fin album. I have loved every single album they have put out but this one blew all of the others out of the water and truly left me speechless.
The first time I listened to it all the way through I was at a loss for words and had to just sit and process. It was like my mind could not comprehend if what I had just heard was even real. It's been over a month now and I still listen to this album daily on loop.
I have said this before but I think it bears repeating. Ateez has one of the best music producing teams in kpop bar nobody and I mean nobody. No one is making the kind of music that they are making. What I love most about them is that they are risk takers. They are not afraid to experiment and go in a totally unexpected direction. It's like they have this mentality that they are just not going to play it safe musically.
As a fan, I have learned to tell myself not to put expectations or boundaries around what I think their musical direction will be or what I want it to be because Ateez will NEVER do what's expected. They have always surprised me in the best possible way and this album really reminded me of why I love them so much. Like you said, it's an absolute masterpiece from top to bottom!
I've been with these guys from practically the beginning of their journey and to watch them grow as young men and as artists has been a privilege and true delight. They really outdid themselves on this album and I couldn't be prouder!

Haven't watched this reaction till the end but I gotta say ur reaction during The Ring, dats literally me. Jaw dropped, goosebumps raised thruout. Idk if anybody else like me literally burst out laughing & clapping by the time it reached the last line, cos the song was ridiculously good. Felt like I'm watching a top-notch thriller, epic movie except tt im staring into blank space. Couldn't even look at the screen for the ccl. I imagine how apt it'd be for a movie-like Halloween MV.

Your whole reaction was my same reaction as well when I first listened to the album. I was shocked beyond words. The way every song just kept outdoing the next had me going crazy! Like of course Ateez has made incredible albums in the past, but not quite on a level like this before. Like you said this is their most cohesive album to date that tells a story perfectly from beginning to end. The World Ep 1: Movement does it perfectly with all the b-sides sounding distinctive from each other. Something about movement album just makes me feel things, I cannot express how Ateez’s music is so powerful. Another thing I noticed is how Ateez are utilizing their vocals differently in this album than we’ve ever heard before. Some members like Seonghwa stood out for his deeper toned voice that we don’t usually hear. We heard more vocal ranges from San, Wooyoung, and Yunho. The harmonies were just off the charts which I think made the album sound even more epic altogether. By far this is Ateez’s best album lyric wise, instrumental wise, bside wise, vocally wise, and storyline wise. I will never be able to stop praising this album. I definitely think Ateez just made the best album in their career so far.

Edit: all I'mma say about the album, cuz trust me, i could leave a novel... I have always said nothing will beat Answer to be at the top of my list but Cyberpunk instantly because a tie. I can't choose between the two- all I know is both songs mean the world to me. I instantly felt giddy like a kid at Disneyland the first time I heard it and I have only loved it more and more, the more I listened to it.

I deadass had to have gotten one of the absolute last tickets in Chicago that wasn't resale or 'platinum'. I had pre-sale codes both days and it let me through the queue pretty quick but was blocking my access because I was on wifi to get to actually select a ticket. I NEVER call people but I called AXS twice a d was told they couldn't help me until the sale opened for the general public (despite having valid codes for both presales) sales. Called general sale day to order but had the site up more for the countdown since it wouldn't let me do anything the other days. By some absolute miracle, while the lady on the phone was logging into a bazillion systems, I just took a chance with ordering online and literally VIP2 and a single seat were the only things showing as available. Tried for the seat but it said someone got it before me so I tried the VIP section not thinking I had a chance and after the second or third time, it went through. THEN the lady on the phone said she had finally gotten access. 🙄 if I hadn't taken that chance with the website...
I thought nothing could have been worse than trying to get tickets with the MyMusicTaste fiasco for the last tour. Somehow AXS made me miss Ticketmaster. And I understand that there's a lot going on in Chicago around that time of the year so other, bigger venues might not have been available, but the other venues literally have almost double the capacity and still got 2 shows. That was a little frustrating, especially because there isn't anything else close enough that I could travel too, even if I wanted to. Fingers crossed you might be able to get a ticket from resale when they lower prices closer to the show. I really would love for you to be able to see them.
When I tell you how in love I am with this album, I’m so new to Ateez and the fact I’m already labelling this album as one of the best albums EVER.
