The prob with the other English versions is that they depart from the textas receptus and use different manuscripts making it not God's word. Praise God he allowed his word to be translated and preserved in English in the king James.

I agree, he has one if the best voices to listen to. I used to sleep with a scripture playing throughout the night as I slept, even my children would listen as they slept. Unfortunately for my household it's been ruined ever since his channel changed with updates. There is an add every 3-7 minute's. It goes from the word of our Father in Heaven to random worldly filth in between.
I love listening to the Bible and I always look for it to be read by Alexander, the way you read brings out the truth the way God intended for it to be read. The way you read makes it come alive. God continue to bless you.
I've got a memory that precedes cassette tapes! As a grade school boy I would listen on vinyl whose speed was 16 2/3!!! Yet the size vinyl disc was that of a 45 RPM. What a voice! I play kjv all day everyday. Have been since I got saved 23 years ago. I am guilty of not reading like I should also though. You know when you stand before God you won’t be able to use the excuse that you had no time. We have time for everything else we want to do. Jobs, families, etc that we wouldn’t even have of God had not blessed us. All of us saying we don’t have time will be without excuse.

I am technically homeless.....Ive lived in a minivan for over four years now.....I listen to these as downloads every day and often through the night. The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. Totally totally awesome I would love to find it somehow to go to a dark screen to be able to start it Genesis and listen because you are amazing totally amazing you have such a gifted voice and I would love to find it to play it in dark screen mode if anybody can help me I would greatly appreciate it also I would ask anyone who prays to give a prayer for my brother who is going through lung cancer at the time right now because I know the hand of Christ is very powerful again if anybody can help me to find the dark screen for this I would be greatly indebted keep up the good work

I've been listening to this for years, in fact I used to listen to it as I slept. Figured why not fill my subconscious mind as I slept with nothing but the word of our Father in Heaven with no interruptions. Unfortunately I can no longer do this, which is a shame. There are adds every five minutes literally and it's very annoying. Random adds from buying food, to getting shots, even things supporting homosexuality etc. Thanks for the past reading's but I must find another TH-cam channel that reads the word without adds ever 3-7 minutes.
You can pay to block the ads. There are going to be adds in any video. It’s not his fault. Or you can read for yourself- and there won’t be distractions.

The KJV is the only Bible that has all the words as the other versions has been tampered with by the synagogue of Satan
The prob with the other English versions is that they depart from the textas receptus and use different manuscripts making it not God's word. Praise God he allowed his word to be translated and preserved in English in the king James.

I agree, he has one if the best voices to listen to. I used to sleep with a scripture playing throughout the night as I slept, even my children would listen as they slept. Unfortunately for my household it's been ruined ever since his channel changed with updates. There is an add every 3-7 minute's. It goes from the word of our Father in Heaven to random worldly filth in between.
I love listening to the Bible and I always look for it to be read by Alexander, the way you read brings out the truth the way God intended for it to be read. The way you read makes it come alive. God continue to bless you.

I've got a memory that precedes cassette tapes! As a grade school boy I would listen on vinyl whose speed was 16 2/3!!! Yet the size vinyl disc was that of a 45 RPM. What a voice! What a blessing, too, for the blind to hear this remarkable voice! Some have called Alexander Scourby, the greatest speaker of the English language.

NEW: Alexander Scourby reads the Apocrypha. Some have been critical of its publishing and those who are, can continue to hear the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation read by Alexander Scourby.
Historical Apocrypha facts. The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible at the end of the Old Testament and positioned between the Old and New Testament. It also contained maps and genealogies. The apocrypha was a part of the King James Bible for 274 years until being removed in the year 1885.
It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save some money on the publishing of the King James Bible.
The truth is the original 1611 King James Version contained the Deuterocanonical books. Just as these books the Protestants call the "Apocrypha" Books were in Martin Luther's Translation and all of the Earlier Protestant English Translations of the Bible which Predated the 1611 KJV. This should not come as a surprise when one considers that right inside the front cover the KJV says That it was:
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is TRUTH: John 17:17.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in TRUTH. John 4:24
When he, the Spirit of TRUTH, is come, he will guide you into all TRUTH. John 16:13

I play kjv all day everyday. Have been since I got saved 23 years ago. I am guilty of not reading like I should also though. You know when you stand before God you won’t be able to use the excuse that you had no time. We have time for everything else we want to do. Jobs, families, etc that we wouldn’t even have of God had not blessed us. All of us saying we don’t have time will be without excuse.

I am technically homeless.....Ive lived in a minivan for over four years now.....I listen to these as downloads every day and often through the night. NEW: Alexander Scourby reads the Apocrypha. Some have been critical of its publishing and those who are, can continue to hear the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation read by Alexander Scourby.
Historical Apocrypha facts. The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible at the end of the Old Testament and positioned between the Old and New Testament. It also contained maps and genealogies. The apocrypha was a part of the King James Bible for 274 years until being removed in the year 1885.
It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save some money on the publishing of the King James Bible.
The truth is the original 1611 King James Version contained the Deuterocanonical books. Just as these books the Protestants call the "Apocrypha" Books were in Martin Luther's Translation and all of the Earlier Protestant English Translations of the Bible which Predated the 1611 KJV. This should not come as a surprise when one considers that right inside the front cover the KJV says That it was:
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is TRUTH: John 17:17.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in TRUTH. John 4:24
When he, the Spirit of TRUTH, is come, he will guide you into all TRUTH. John 16:13

Frankly, we think the four most Important books in the King, James Bible are the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These represent the new testament Covenant, which God sent his son Jesus Christ to establish between God the Father and his people. To do that Jesus would have to submit himself to be the sacrificial lamb of God on a Cross on a lonely hill at Golgotha outside of Jerusalem. We encourage all to Hear those book as often as you can so you HEAR the full Truth, Spirit and Love of Jesus’ teachings and keep that TRUTH deep within so HIS TRUTH can make you FREE.

NEW: Alexander Scourby reads the Apocrypha. Some have been critical of its publishing and those who are, can continue to hear the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation read by Alexander Scourby.
Historical Apocrypha facts. The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible at the end of the Old Testament and positioned between the Old and New Testament. It also contained maps and genealogies. The apocrypha was a part of the King James Bible for 274 years until being removed in the year 1885.
It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save some money on the publishing of the King James Bible.
The truth is the original 1611 King James Version contained the Deuterocanonical books. Just as these books the Protestants call the "Apocrypha" Books were in Martin Luther's Translation and all of the Earlier Protestant English Translations of the Bible which Predated the 1611 KJV. This should not come as a surprise when one considers that right inside the front cover the KJV says That it was:
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is TRUTH: John 17:17.

When he, the Spirit of TRUTH, is come, he will guide you into all TRUTH. John 16:13

Totally totally awesome I would love to find it somehow to go to a dark screen to be able to start it Genesis and listen because you are amazing totally amazing you have such a gifted voice and I would love to find it to play it in dark screen mode if anybody can help me I would greatly appreciate it also I would ask anyone who prays to give a prayer for my brother who is going through lung cancer at the time right now because I know the hand of Christ is very powerful again if anybody can help me to find the dark screen for this I would be greatly indebted keep up the good work

I've been listening to this for years, in fact I used to listen to it as I slept. Figured why not fill my subconscious mind as I slept with nothing but the word of our Father in Heaven with no interruptions. Unfortunately I can no longer do this, which is a shame. There are adds every five minutes literally and it's very annoying. Random adds from buying food, to getting shots, even things supporting homosexuality etc. Thanks for the past reading's but I must find another TH-cam channel that reads the word without adds ever 3-7 minutes.

Thank you for your comments about adverts and we can understand where you’re coming from. Let me say the following: First, TH-cam Selects the ads for the videos, normally they are synergistic with the content and they can be skipped after 5 seconds.

I don't pay for cable, I just use TH-cam if I want to watch something, or listen to radio. I love the blessing of this Scourby channel, especially overnight and when I'm doing housework.”
There is no business model in the world based on giving away goods and services. FREE programming is on TV, but ads appear to pay for that programing. If there are no ads, then a subscription fee is involved. We all pay monthly subscriptions, to NETFLIX, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc for content. It takes time and money creating Channel content as well as maintaining the Channel, it’s not FREE. We wish we could play the Bible Recordings FREE on TH-cam, however, the reality of life is that it takes money to do anything
Jesus said this in Luke 10-7 “And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire; and Paul said this in 1 Timothy 5-17-19, 17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.18 For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

Historical Apocrypha FACTS: The word APOCRYPHA means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books published in the original 1611 King James Bible for 274 years, and was placed at the end of the Old Testament with the New Testament following. Then in 1885, for reasons unknown, they were removed. So we are putting them back for those who want to read the missing Books of the APOCRYPHA. It's not certain why the APOCRYPHA was taken out of the 1611 King James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save money on publishing the King James Bible.
