- This is a quick method to fix your Xbox One fan noise. This will you show how to clean your Xbox One if it has dust in it - please note this will not completely clean the Xbox One fan, you will need to disassemble the Xbox to do that.

My Xbox turns on by itself after like 5 secs after turning it off by using the Xbox button on the controller or the console. It does that every time do you know how to fix it? I tried cleaning it but It still turns on after getting turned off

Or do what my dad and friends did when they were deployed in Iraq. Sand and dust would get in every things so the just got a whole air compressor and blew every knock and Cranny and that original Xbox lived for like 10 more years
Depends, your average Air compressor you might not wanna do that with because their might be moisture in the tank.

Your xbox makes more noise because its heating up to the point it needs to increase the rpm of the fans to keep the console cool. The best and only long term solution is to take your xbox apart and actually remove all the dust not just blowing it inside and cause more clogging of the airflow and components covered in dust causing them to heat up way faster.
@@DildoFagginsNL opened mine up a few days ago and the dust on the fan wasn't even loose, it was like painted on.

Actually use a vacuum cleaner .... Doing it this way only pushes the dust and dirt into the machine through the holes

You can also use a Vacuum get in those vents depending on how bad it is you may have to take the plastic case off or if it’s really bad being loud etc you may to clean inside fully. On series X just get a vacuum on the vents on the back and it will pull any dust out the HeatSink. also People say don’t use vacuum because of static. Don’t worry you have nothing to worry about it will not harm your system at all there is plenty of metal and it’s casing to resist anything like that and The motherboards are thick enough to deal with this also. So don’t worry and don’t listen to people who say vacuum will harm your Xbox PlayStation etc.

My discs don’t work in my Xbox and they are clean so is there something wrong with the disc drive/disc area

You could try a DVD lens cleaner disc first but usually this means you need to replace your laser which can be purchased for quite reasonable prices from Ebay etc if you are confident enough to try and replace it yourself, if you follow a guide they aren't too difficult. Other than that find someone who is capable to do it for you.
this also happen but i just blow into it or i use compressed air to clean it out. i think its dust in it but i’m no professional
Yes disc drives aren’t replaceable In Xbox’s so if there is something wrong could be dirty inside it or the Mechanicals are bad. If that’s the case Hope it’s not a problem with the board that controls the drive.

There are also keyboard vaccums that would work quite well for stuff like this, you also might be able to find an adapter for whatever vacuum cleaner you have
When blowing dust out of such locations make sure the dust falls down instead of back into the unit(if it were upside down)

The dyson dc14 is an absolute animal in suction. It started spinning the fan in mine as fast as the propeller in a jet turbine goes
Wont brushing it push the dust deeper into the machine? Especially blowing it, something like a vacuum would be good since it catches everything and hidden dust inside?
6.5 years of dust just was just delt with and I can now hear my speakers.

Personally I'd rather use a vacuum cleaner extension tube as using a brush like that can tend to push dust inside. I only use a blower when I have access directly to the internal components.
Okay just out of curiosity isn't it typically bad for the fan to be spinning while the motherboard is off and if that is the case then shouldn't one try and stick something to stop the fan in the vent before hitting it with compressed air?

There are 2 screws at the rear of an Xbox One X which make disassembly easier unlike the Xbox One S which is held together with clips, other than that they are pretty similar. If you're wanting to clean without opening though, I'd recommend using a vacuum cleaner extension tube at the same time as a brush on any vents to eliminate pushing more dust inside.

Also use a hand vacuum or the hose. You don't want to just blast dust to other areas you Wana actually get it out of the console.

Yeah it does, and it snaps easily back on 👍
To get to the fan you need to fully remove the plastic case and the top metal plate very easily done. By doing this you can clean most of the console insides!

Don’t any tech nerds have an air compressor? I got my first to clean my PC. Turns out I messed up big time buying a 1 gallon. I spent more time waiting on the damn compressor than I did cleaning. Then I got a 3 gallon, but again messed up because even though it was triple the capacity, it still has the exact same weak AF compressor. It wasn’t until the 6 gallon that I found the sweet spot. Although to be honest it takes 12 gallons to get the job done without running low on air pressure and therefore require no waiting for pressure to build.

It’s 100% the dust. The original Xbox One is under powered with a huge fan and an oversized heat sink I deep cleaned mine once in the 7 years that I had it an it hasn’t ramped up since.
