I never noticed at the end when Kurt keeps repeating "I'm down with brown town" will is screaming "it's only seconds away" because its the next song lol.
This was the first song I heard by these guys. I was in my garage skating with my friend in 2010 and we were listening to music. He tells me I gotta check this band out, plays this song. By the opening riff, I'm fucking hooked. 6 years later, I love every DGD song ever made. He made the biggest fan in Idaho that day.
I vividly remember this song through my older brother. Back when he was still in high school, he would have his usual work out sessions in the basement with DGD blasting full volume. And this is the album I remember most vividly. The intro to NASA really brings me back to the good old days. I just wished I was into this kinda music back then. Felt like I missed out on a whole lot, but I was pretty young back then lol
This is still the album with best instrumentals, NOT Mothership(which is still good) but for example, where is the funky and thumpin bass in Mothership? nowhere
I had no idea will swan screamed this album until I watched tree village. And my respect sky rocketed for him after finding that out. He's an incredible musician man I don't care what anyone says. Him and Matt are just the perfect pair
***** Wow man thank you very much! Ive heard of Hail the Sun and actually almost played a show with them. Havent done much research on my part but definitely will. Thanks bro
He did it live too. Which is crazy with how complex his riffs can be; To do vocals on top of it is insane. He's always been my number one favorite musician since I was 15 years old lol. I'm almost 31 now.
Loving this beat a lot. The drums and background acoustics is legit. I am officially a fan. This after I heard someone playing it outside my house this morning. Had to go out and ask who it was. Love it.
I heard that groovy opening riff through my friends xbox mic one night around 2011. Ever since then I've been hooked. I can listen to any DGD album all the way through and every song is as great as the next
This brings me back to 2014 Kurt brought something nobody else brought to DGD, call it nostalgia for a time long gone, but I miss him. Sometimes I think about how different DGD would be today if they never got Tillian. On the other hand, Acceptance Speech is absolutely mint
Soy de Argentina y este álbum me encanta, y no dejo de escuchar esta banda hace 10 años. Nose porque solo escuchó este álbum, los demas no me impactaron como este
I may be alone in this, but I'd really like to hear a lot of DGD's songs without any vocals. I love them to be sure, but everything else is so fucking good I need to hear this purely instrumental.
Normally I am obsessed with one band/vocalist for months straight an then they get old, but I just recently made an iheartradio station for Circa Survive and this song came on. Now my music interests have broadened, leaving me more variety. Also, I don't normally like songs like these, but this is really good.
Back when this band was on top of the post hardcore game...wish they'd kick Tilian's creepy ahh out of the band and bring back their best vocalist Mr. Travis. All time great album.
How am i just discovering this album? I really only listened to the Jonny Craig shit but this album is good been rocking it all week. Randomly decided to check this album out on Rhapsody. Killer basslines maybe best basslines ive heard on any DGD album.
The part where Will screams "Staring at the window panes" sends chills down my spine every time...
Russian roulette with some names on the phooooooone
@alhn Emits that's cool
@alhn Emits that's a great gift!
5 town homes and 4 3 bed room flats have the keys done by tomorrow

Will doesn't scream. Kurt is screaming
@@JoeLaFon3 Will did all the screams on this album

That intro riff was always the best lol. Crazy how old this song is now
This album has the best instrumentals this band has produced in my opinion in their entire career.
don't look now, but I think mothership is gonna be better...
Maxime Laflamme 100% correct lol. Honestly did not expect as much from mothership. They beat it already and I've only heard 3 songs.
This is still the album with best instrumentals, NOT Mothership(which is still good) but for example, where is the funky and thumpin bass in Mothership? nowhere
Dan l Well you don't need funky thumpin bass when you have sweet ass synths and shit which they've not used before in this manner
Dan l young robot definitely has funk in it

These guys are like a mix of at the drive in, from autumn to ashes and the Mars Volta. Love this band so much. I like the Kurt era alot
wildinthestreets101 I didn't see At The Drive In until you pointed it out, it really does sound similar.
wildinthestreets101 They were inspired by At the Drive In
Will Swan's Influence is ATDI,
Couldn't of said it better myself.
Isn’t At The Drive-In also The Mars Volta? Lol had to.
The "I'm down with browntown" part makes me feel like I'm in heaven. Several goosebumps!

I'll always be a fan of DGD! Their music comes through sober or not!
agreed, although if not sober, their music is about as good as it gets!
Agreed!
This brings me back to 2014
Kurt brought something nobody else brought to DGD, call it nostalgia for a time long gone, but I miss him. Sometimes I think about how different DGD would be today if they never got Tillian.

Nostalgic...
I only been listening to this song for nearly a decade and just noticed Kurt's Totoro tattoo
Still getting chills from 1:49. One of my all time favorite songs.

This song never fails to amaze me. It never gets old. I FUCKING LOVE IT!
So many memories!
This song is the best ever.
this a great song one of the best ones of the album
this track
I seen them in Detroit on May 5th. Will bumped into me while walking through the crowd.. And I met the most wonderful beautiful girl there...
Tilian needs to cover nasa I feel like that would be dope but no one does the happiness album better than Kurt.
Osu surprisingly brought me here was looking for 6 stars and boom. Glad it did
Same lol
Honestly Will's lyricism is underrated
The beginning of this song felt really nostalgic for me for a reason i couldn't figure out, but then i realized that it reminded me of L's Theme B.
I freakin love "I'm down with Brown Town!!" Best line ever!!!!!!!!!
Normally I am obsessed with one band/vocalist for months straight an then they get old, but I just recently made an iheartradio station for Circa Survive and this song came on. Now my music interests have broadened, leaving me more variety.

Will Swan has amazing Screamin talent!
My favorite part of the song is from 0:00 to 0:40
Weird ik, no clue why i like this part over the whole song
This song is soo freaking awesome
It is Kurt Travis. Jonny did DBM2 but now as of August 20th is now no longer apart or welcome in DGD after that incident on tour.
What happened on the tour?
this is my favorite song of theirs
Back when this band was on top of the post hardcore game...wish they'd kick Tilian's creepy ahh out of the band and bring back their best vocalist Mr. Travis. All time great album.
Truthfully
the double base pedal at 2:06 and 2:14 is fucking sick
OMFG! I LOVE DGD; THE BEST BAND♥
